By: Arisu Kuroshima
A/N: I don't own Inuyasha or any of the songs used in this story only my characters I own.
Loud screams echoed through the small shrine as a woman that appeared to be in her early thirties lies died on the ground with her pale white hands clutching onto her unconscious son that appeared to be only six years with dried caked blood in his dark orange hair. A man that appears to be in his late thirties staggering around like a psycho drunk with blood dripping down his cheeks like a crazed maniac. Two girls hugged onto each other, both looking like mirror replicas of the other only differences where their eyes, one was dark chestnut brown and the other was bluish gray. The man slowly staggered towards the two as bloodlust was clearly in his eyes while a young boy that was twelve stood in front of the girls with his messy black hair and his violet eyes flashed in anger as he shouted in hatred, “STAY AWAY FROM THEM!” Their father smirked at him and taunted with an evil tone, “What are you going to do about it, Miroku?” Miroku growled in annoyance as he lunged for his father only to be knocked down on the ground by him using the broken liquor bottle in his hand. Miroku now lay on the floor with a stream of blood coming from the back of his head. He yanks the girl with chestnut brown eyes away from her sister and slapped the girl roughly across the face. The other girl shouted with deep worry, “KIKYO!” Kikyo looked at her sister and pleaded softly only loud enough for the girl to her, “Run Kagome…” Kikyo let out a small scream as her father used a small pocket knife and scarred her arm with it slowly as if he wanted to hear her screams. Kagome wanted to cover her eyes, but she couldn't as tears continue to flow from her eyes. The man ripped off Kikyo's shirt as Kikyo kicked the man across the face, trying to get free from his grasp. Her father brutally threw Kikyo towards her sister as Kagome cried as Kikyo tried to her best to mutely calm her down. Kagome felt a large hand around her neck and tighten, trying to drain the life of her away. She let out a loud scream as she felt stinging pain coming from her now bloody arm. She felt another hand ripping her shirt off as she heard his psycho laughter from his mouth. Kagome was losing consciousness as she felt her bra being sliced off, showing her small breast as the hand ripped off the skirt she was wearing. Before she went into the darkness, she heard a loud gunshot and seen blood splatter. She heard her sister's voice calling towards her, but she was gone off to the land of darkness.
“Souta… put the gun down…” Kikyo softly stated as the last thing Kagome heard was a wailing six year old boy.
~~~~Three Hours Later~~~~
Ivory white greeted bleary bluish gray eyes as Kagome blinked to adjust her eyes to the brightness. Kagome slowly sat up and notice her grandmother Kaede and her grandfather Myoga were comforting the rest of her siblings. Souta's dark brown eyes turned towards Kagome and shouted happily, “Aneue! Aneue's awake!” Kagome looked over at Souta and smiled at him warmly, “Are you alright, Souta?” Souta continue to cry as Kagome just ruffled his messy crop of raven black hair and smiled down at him. Two weeks later, Kagome, Kikyo, Shippou, Souta and Miroku were moved in with their grandparents and lived there until Kagome moved back to the shrine when she turned fifteen and Miroku moved into his own apartment when he turned sixteen and Shippou lived with him. Kikyo and Souta stayed with their grandparents.
