“Tiyeko-kun,” Shinta said quietly as she tended to her adoptive daughter. “Go to the Forest of Inuyasha, that's where you'll find the old Bone Eater's Well. From what Kagome-sama has said, you only need jump into it to travel to her world. Collect her and my daughter's mate.”

“The children?”

“You make that decision.”

Tiyeko nodded solemnly and left the castle. Moving to the wide open field near the stables he collected Ah-Un and saddled the great beast, and dressed the two heads in their harnesses and reigns. He climbed upon the dragon youkai's back, and took hold of the reigns.

“Take me to time well Ah-Un.”

The dragon took to the air and arrived at the well in a few scant hours. Tiyeko slipped off the dragon's back, the youkai sensing his companion's somber mood, nuzzled his two heads into either hand of the kitsune youkai. He petted the heads quietly and silently thanked the great beast for his comfort.

“Wait for me here Ah-Un.”

Ah-Un nodded both his heads and Tiyeko smiled sadly before leaping into the well, not certain if it would work for him. Blue and purple energies surrounded the kitsune as he traveled through the time slip. The energies themselves were disorienting enough and when he landed on the other side of the well he fell to his knees as he tried to regain his equilibrium. He rose on unsteady legs and climbed the ladder out of the well.

As soon as Tiyeko opened the shoji doors of the well house and stepped out into the shrine grounds he once again fell to his knees. The sounds and smells were too strong for him to adjust to, the disorientation from the time travel still effecting him. He fell farther, resting on his hands and knees; each breath harsher than the last, his head swimming as consciousness began playing a cruel game of hide and go seek with him. Tiyeko barely registered the sound of hurried footsteps coming toward him, and was barely conscious when the harsh smells were suddenly pushed away as a sweet warm smell of flowers and forest and mother surrounded him as the sounds were pushed away, replaced by a soothing heartbeat as he was wrapped in strong comforting arms, his face buried in a warm chest.

After a few moments, Tiyeko regained the balance of senses and his breathing slowed and became calm once more. As he came back to himself, he registered the feeling of a warm body holding him and an arm around his back as a hand stroked his rusty red mane of hair. Soft words of comfort floated to his ears, the words not much above a whisper. He lifted his head and realized then that a scarf had been wrapped around his head to cover his nose and mouth to block out the smells.

“Are you alright now?” a woman's voice asked and he looked up into her face.

Her hair was worn short and although she was middle aged, she looked young. Her eyes were soft and warm, concern shinning in her warm golden brown eyes. He blinked his green eyes at her as he studied her, she looked a bit like Kagome, the same warmth in their eyes, a similar scent to their person. She carefully brought the scarf down from around his face to rest over his shoulders.

“Are you alright dear?” she asked again.

Tiyeko nodded quietly not certain if he trusted his voice or not. She was so beautiful! Who was this creature? She smiled at him and helped him to his feet, steadying him against her as they stood together.

“My name is Kashu,” she said softly as she wrapped her arm around his trim waist and let him lean on her as she walked with him back across the grounds to the house.

“You're so beautiful,” he said softly in awe and only realized he'd said it out loud when she blushed a soft rose color upon her cheeks and thanked him shyly. “I-I'm sorry, I…I was sure I only thought that. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable.” His eyes watched the ground as they walked slowly in an easy pace.

“You didn't, and as long as the words weren't spoken falsely-”

“They weren't, they weren't,” he assured quickly. He laughed a little at himself. “I'm sorry Kashu-sama; it's been awhile since I've found myself like this.”

“Like what?” she asked looking at him, when his eyes met hers he once again fell silent. Kashu reached her hand up to his cheek to feel for fever, he seemed so out of it.

“I-I'm sorry,” he stumbled over his words as a blush lit his cheeks as he captured her concerned hand in his own and held it to his chest. “I've not found myself affected like this in so long.”

“Affected how?” she asked concerned.

His eyes continued to dart between her eyes and her mouth; he couldn't explain where this sudden need to kiss her, to taste her lips came from. He could smell her heat scent told him she was still in her child bearing years and that just made her more appealing to him, though he wasn't sure if that would've mattered to him or not. His face neared hers as he moved slowly in for a kiss, giving her ample time to pull away if she wished. Kashu could feel her heartbeat speed up and she felt as giddy as a school girl. She hadn't felt this way since Ryoko, her late husband, had been alive. She waited almost impatiently for this man this youkai to kiss her, her breath coming faster.

“Mom!” Kagome's voice called from the house as the woman's daughter emerged, “oh Tiyeko-sama,” Kagome greeted as she came up to the pair.

Kashu dropped her head to rest her face against the kitsune's blue silk covered chest, and the youkai could feel her begin to shake and tremble in his arms seconds before he heard her laughter. He realized what it was she was laughing at, a mother being caught kissing - or near it - as the case may be by her own pup and began to chuckle as well.

“What's so funny?” Kagome asked as she looked at the pair and the reason for her coming to find her mother made itself known again as she nearly doubled over with the force of the stomach cramps she was experiencing. Tiyeko caught her quickly in his arms as Kagome fell, lifting her in his arms he turned to her mother who stood at his side.

“What do we do?” he asked her, surely she couldn't go through the well like this and it would take too long to reach Shinta for them to risk the health of the Lady of the Western Lands.

“We've gotta get her to the hospital,” the woman said and looked at her watch. “Damnit, traffic's horrid at this hour we've got to get her there quickly.”

“Kashu-sama, can you hold her for a moment,” he asked passing Kagome to her.

Kagome's mother held her daughter against her side as she watched in wonder as Tiyeko transformed into a giant fox. He looked at her with calm red eyes and lay down on his stomach, as he waited for her to climb on his back. Kashu looked between him and her daughter trying to figure out a way to manage it without dropping her daughter. Tiyeko saw the apprehension and carefully lifted Kagome in his jaws and laid her upon his back and then next lifted Kashu in his jaws and set her upon his back as well.

Mamma Higurashi held Kagome against her with one arm as she wrapped the other hand in his beautiful silky golden red fur and nodded at him as he looked at her. Tiyeko stood carefully, being careful not to rock them too much and the leapt into the air and leapt seemingly from cloud to cloud and then lowered to jump from rooftop to rooftop as Kashu directed him to the hospital. Once upon the roof, he once again lifted the women into his jaws gently one at a time and set them upon the roof as he changed back into his humanoid form.

Kashu smiled at him as he lifted Kagome into his arms, and they entered through the roof entrance and took the elevator down to the emergency room.

“What's wrong with her,” she asked the doctor impatiently. The doctor and two nurses had been attending to her daughter for a solid hour now without telling her or Tiyeko anything. The doctor had finally emerged and now the woman in the white coat stood before them.

“There are trace amounts of Ruephedrine in her system that has been having a dire effect on her unborn child-”

“What?”

“Kagome-sama is carrying an heir?”

“Does she take Ruephedrine as a sleep aide?” the doctor asked.

“No,” Kashu said sadly remembering when Inuyasha had brought her crying daughter home to her dressed only in his haori. “Someone drugged her and tried to rape her, a friend saved her time before they could actually rape her though, thankfully.”

“Did she suffer any trauma from the attack?” the doctor asked her attention sharp.

“I don't know, Kagome has been reluctant to talk about it. She was attacked by same person once before not too ling ago, but I only found out about that attack after Inuyasha saved her from this one.”

“I'll examine her completely and ask her about it then.” The doctor noted the anger in Tiyeko's green eyes and looked at him fully, noting his red hair and green eyes, strange to see on someone with clearly Japanese features, his ears were hidden by his hair otherwise she would've been startled to note that they ended in elfin points. “Are you the father?”

Tiyeko looked sharply at the woman when she asked him that. “No I'm not her mate. He's unable to be here due to business.”

“Oh, alright. You two may go in once I move her to a room; I'd like to keep her for a while.”

“Alright. Doctor,” Kashu called out to her as she turned to head back into the exam room. “Will she and her baby be alright?”

“It's tough to say. If she hasn't miscarried in the next forty-eight hours then her chances for a full recovery and healthy pregnancy are good. We'll no more later.”

Two hours later Kashu and Tiyeko sat in chairs by her sleeping daughter's bedside, a fetal monitor hooked around her midsection and an iv in her arm. Seeing the distress and smelling the tears on mother Higurashi, Tiyeko took her into his arms and held her close, stroking her short blue black hair.

“She's strong Kashu-sama,” he spoke softly. “She'll be fine I know she will…I'm still quite surprised by you though,” he said softly with a bit of awe.

“Me?” Kashu said looking up at him from the circle of his arms, her head against his chest. “What about me?”

He looked down into her warm brown eyes, “The way Kagome-sama and the children spoke of you, I thought you to be nothing more than a mythical creature, a faerie perhaps.”

Kashu smiled at him and Tiyeko was once again left with the unyielding desire to kiss her.

“I'm no faerie, and certainly not a myth. Just a mother.”

“Not a wife?” he asked his voice taking on a husky air.

“My husband died a few short years after Souta was born. I've not taken another.”

“May I?”

“May you?”

“Kiss you.”

“Kiss me?” she breathed out and he closed the distance between their mouths, his lips covering her own.

His lips moved against hers in a sensual dance that promised pleasures untold and she could feel her heart race as she gladly returned his kiss. Tiyeko opened his mouth and ran his tongue over her lips, begging for an entrance that Kashu was only too happy to give. His tongue swept into her mouth to feel along her teeth and mouth as hers danced alongside his. She curled her tongue around one of her fangs, nipping her tongue enough to cut it and her blood flooded his mouth, his semi erect member throbbing painfully erect as his fluffy red tail snaked around her waist and its tip twitched happily between her thighs as he pulled her closer.

They broke apart when their need for air become more than their need for each other and his kisses traveled along her jaw and down her neck to the juncture of her neck and shoulder as nipped and licked at her petal soft flesh. Kashu moaned softly and pressed closer as one of his hands snaked up to run alongside her breast before cupping the pillowing mound through her blouse. Her hands fisted in his haori as she released a breathy sigh of pleasure.

“And I thought Sesshoumaru and I were bad,” Kagome groaned softly from the bed as she woke to the kissing and petting pair.

Kashu and Tiyeko pulled apart matching blushes staining their cheeks as they both looked at the floor, the kitsune's tail still wrapped around her mother's waist. Kagome snorted in amusement and then began to giggle, they looked like blushing teenagers! Her mother began to giggle as well the amused giggles pulling from Tiyeko his own amused chuckles.

Kashu calmly explained to her daughter what the doctor had to her and Kagome put her hands protectively over her abdomen.

“Sesshoumaru never said anything, I thought youkai could sense when their mates conceived,” she said and looked to her kitsune friend.

“You barely have my lady, you're not that far along. Perhaps three to four days after conception.”

“That young?”

“Yes,” he answered softly.

“Is it healthy?” she asked her friend, trusting him and his nose and instincts far more than the doctors and technologies of her time.

Tiyeko rose from his seat and moved to Kagome's side, sitting upon the bed he sniffed first at her and then at her womb. He smiled and looked up at his friend, “they're both healthy and strong Kagome-sa Kagome,” he said recalling the many times she told him to simply call her Kagome, they were friends after all.

“Both?” she asked as a smile grew.

“Two, the smell is to faint yet to tell you what the gender of the pups are, but their strong and I smell no illness on them.”

Kagome leaned forward and hugged the kitsune, his own arms wrapping around her as well. They sat with Kagome alternating between hugging, holding her and petting her hair until she once again fell asleep. No danger of miscarriage near.

“Kashu-chan,” Tiyeko said as he sat in the chair next to the woman he had previously been in a heated embrace with. “When we return across the well, I'd like to bring you along as well. Inuyasha's mate Maika has suffered a horrible ordeal and I believe that between you and Shinta-sama she will be able to heal. Will you come?” Kashu nodded and he embraced her and held her to him, her head upon his chest as she slowly fell asleep.

Inuyasha arrived moments later and smelt the shared passion between the kitsune warrior and the shared mother that he had in Kashu and smiled. He sat by Kagome's side and looked at Tiyeko who was watching him carefully.

“It's about time she found someone to love, just don't hurt her ok?” the hanyou said as he looked upon the sleeping woman in the warrior's arms.

“And if she hurts me?” Tiyeko asked.

“You two will be just fine,” Inuyasha smiled. “Get some rest, I'll keep guard.”

Tiyeko nodded and laid his cheek upon Kashu's hair as he fell asleep slowly, and Inuyasha sat on the end of Kagome's bed as he held Tetsusaiga in lap as he kept watch over both Kagome and the sleeping pair in the chairs. The doctor entered at one point a few minutes later and Inuyasha growled and sniffed at the woman before he let her near Kagome. The woman seemed a bit disturbed by the action but didn't say anything, even when she saw the dog ears on top his head and the tail wrapped around Kashu by the man with pointed ears. Good thing I trained at NYU hospital in America she thought as she left the room.
