Chapter 1: Time passes

"So she is coming tomorrow isn't she?" Kagome jumped with joy at her mother's news. "I have so much to tell her! It had been such a long time since we had met… I think it had almost been five years ever since she left to go to the States! It is such a good think she had chosen to transfer to my school!"

"Calm down Kagome!" Mrs. Higurashi smiled to see her daughter so happy.

"Neechan are going to tell her about you traveling to the feudal age?" Sota asked.

Kagome's smile faded a little. "Well, we usually don't have any secrets from each other." She said softly. "Mama what do you think?"

"Don't forget she is also from a Shrine in Nagoya!" Ojiisan said putting down his papers. "She should be able to handle such stories. Besides from a shrine her father owns a Judo Hall as well."

"Wow, so is she good in judo?" Sota asked excited. "Maybe I can ask her to teach me."

"She is a girl, Sota, how can you think she would be interested in Judo?" Kagome said angrily.

"Actually the last time I spoke to her father, he had been training her in judo. She continued even after she went to the States for her studies." Ojiisan said thoughtfully. "How good she is, I have no idea."

"Mama, what time was it she said she is arriving?" Kagome asked as her mother read the letter.

"Around noon tomorrow." Mama said scanning the letter. "She is already in Japan; it is because she is dropping off at Nagoya her home first before she comes to Tokyo." She looked up at her daughter. "I thought you are going back to the well, tomorrow morning."

"How can I?" Kagome said. "I guess Inuyasha and the others just have to wait."

"So neechan, are you going to tell her about your adventures?" Sota asked again.

"I don't know, maybe not that soon, let her settle down first. It had been a long time since she was back in Japan." Kagome said wonderingly. "Besides I'm sure she wouldn't be able to believe it too if I tell her too soon."

"I guess it is kinda hard to believe." Sota said softly.

A girl with dark shiny, layered shouldered length hair sat on her seat quietly. The other passengers on the plane were already sleeping including the man next to her as she stared out the brightening sky from her window. She was wearing a white woolly sweater, a pair of dark blue jeans and a pair of comfortable black sports shoes.

It had been five years since I left Japan. I wonder if anything had change, the girl thought sighing looking down her hands which clutched onto a letter. This letter had brought such bad news; I have to stop studying in the finest private school in New York to come home. Maybe in the first place I shouldn't have gotten a scholarship to go there. Maybe then I will be together with my family.

Tears appeared from her eyes but she wiped it away quickly.

I cannot cry! As the eldest daughter of the most famous, Higurashi Judo Hall, I must always be strong like papa wants me to be. Mama runs a shrine just like my cousin's family does; she will also want me to be strong. My little sister wouldn't like to see me cry anyway.

She turned her attention back to the window and looked at the sky which had brightened up by the morning sun. She smiled sadly.

It is such a wonderful day, but somehow it didn't match my emotions.

Kagome paced the front porch impatiently. Her cousin had disagreed that they come to meet her at the airport. She had told them to wait at home, while she would come to their home by herself. Her mother had a phone call from her last night when she was still at Nagoya in her family's home.

"I can find my way, don't worry," She had said to Mrs. Higurashi.

As Kagome looked down at the flight of steps, she saw no cab pulling up the bottom of the steps yet, she sighed. She then turned around and found herself face to face with Inuyasha. Yelping with fright, she took a step back almost falling down the steps but Inuyasha, caught her swiftly with his speed.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome cried angrily. "Why are you doing here?"

"You were supposed to come back today morning, and it is almost noon!"

"I can't these few days!" Kagome groaned. "Please understand, my cousin had come to stay and I want to be here to greet her on her first day."

"Your cousin?"

"Hai," Kagome nodded and just then she heard a car pulling up at the bottom of the steps. She turned around to see a cab had stopped at the front steps of Higurashi Shrine. Kagome grinned; quickly she turned around to Inuyasha. "Go back; I don't want her to see you just yet!"

"Why?"

"Just do as I say!" Kagome yelled pushing him away to the well. "Give me another three more days."

"We don't have so much time; we have to… AAAAUUUGGGHHHH…"

Kagome had already pushed him into the Bone Eaters Well.

"I will be back in three days time…" Kagome called after him and ran out.

Kagome could see, her cousin already walking up the steps carrying her luggage up with her. She looked exquisite in her white woolly sweater and dark blue jeans. To her surprised was she had kept her hair layered and short only reaching her shoulders. She used to have really long hair down her waist the last time she saw her, even with this new look she still look really beautiful with this fashionable hair style.

"Sakura!" Kagome ran towards her.

Sakura dropped her luggage when she saw Kagome, and they both embraced when Kagome reached her. She smiled softly.

At least I still have another family… She thought silently.

"I'm so happy to have come!" Kagome exclaimed excitedly, after letting go of her. She then reached for Sakura's luggage but couldn't lift it up. She looked at Sakura with surprised. When she saw her walking up the steps she was carrying the luggage as if it was as light as a feather. "How did you lift this up?"

"I'm used to carrying heavy luggage," Sakura smiled taking the luggage into her hand. "I move a lot when I was in the States, I don't stay in one place for very long. Don't worry about it. I can carry it myself."

The rest of the family came out to greet her happily. They knew that she had went through a lot that passed few days, and all they can do for her was to offer shelter, love and make her happy again as they lead her into the house.

I guess I will be alright here after all. Sakura thought to herself. The pass remains in the pass; I can't change time so it is no point dwelling in the pass like this.

Everyone chatted happily as they brought her into her new home in the years to come.

Ray: OK chapter one done! (Smiles, at her own work.) Well, not excellent, for nothing about the feudal age or about Sesshoumaru. It will be the next chapter.

Inuyasha: I can't believe I had such a small part in this chapter. (Looked at Ray angrily) Do you even know how to write?

Ray: Gomen… this story is supposed to about Sakura and how she will meet Sesshoumaru…. So I thought I should write a little more about this girl first.

Inuyasha: Moh Sesshoumaru… Sesshoumaru… Everything is about Sesshoumaru… your last story is also about him! Can't you be more creative… or something…? Do something different like putting more of me…

Kagome: (crossing her arm around her chest) Inuyasha….

Inuyasha: (sweat dropped turned slowly to look at Kagome)

Kagome: Osuawri!

WHAMP! Inuyasha fell face down on the floor.

Kagome: Don't mind him, he is just jealous he is not the main character in the stories you write.

Ray: What am I supposed to do? This is a Sesshoumaru fan site… I can't write a story making Inuyasha as the star character…

Sesshoumaru: (Suddenly appear out of no where) Like you said I am the star. I am not even in the first chapter at all. (In his calm voice)

Ray: (Sweat drop) Ahhh… next chapter I promise….

Sesshoumaru: It better be good… it is a good thing the co star is pretty….

Sakura: Someone mentioned me? (Walked up happily)

Ray: …. (With a big O formed around her mouth)

Sesshoumaru: (turned his handsome face at Sakura) we will meet soon. (And in a flash he left so swiftly as if he disappeared in thin air)

Sakura:????? (Blinking at where Sesshoumaru was standing before)

Ray: Sigh*

Inuyasha got up and glared at Kagome

Inuyasha: What is that supposed to be for?

Kagome: You were rude.

Inuyasha I was just saying the facts… (Continue to shout at each other)

Ray: (Sigh again shaking her head and put ear plugs on trying to start on her next chapter)
