Hello mina, I have updated again… after this I'm going to bed… its almost 3 in the morning now. Before that want to thank a whole bunch of people I didn't mention the previous chapter… I posted up that chapter in a rush so sorry I didn't thanked person by person those who reviewed.

Naraku Lover, thanks for your review and I really love Sesshoumaru, so I won't want him dead of course. I am a Sess Rin Fan and also a Sess OC fan… hahhahaa…. I love to create characters for him. Well, I think Sakura was created cuz of Kagome. It was sort of like Kagome had always been traveling with Inuyasha. So I came up with the idea that Sesshoumaru can also travel with someone around Kagome's age and also something like Kagome. So a cousin came up. I created her in a way like she stays in a Shrine like Kagome too, and was able to travel through the well like her. As for her name, actually I didn't want her to be named Sakura. Truthfully, I couldn't think of a name for her. It was because at that time I was watching Sakura Wars when this idea came into my head. So her name became Sakura. Muahahhaa!!!! You also have a character in your story name Sakura? What is the name of the story, I can always go check it out ^_^

Chapter 19: Misunderstanding Leads to Tragedy

"Sakura I need to ask you something." Kagome said when Sesshoumaru had left the group. "It is about Sesshoumaru."

"What is it?"

"About his arm?" Kagome started hesitantly. "Did you give him back his arm?"

"Oh that," Sakura smiled. "I did that yesterday, and I never thought I could. It is like you and your miko powers. You didn't know you had them until you came here. I didn't know mine until I had another dream last night."

"What sort of dream?"

"It is more clear this time," Sakura said with a smile. "I whole the powers of the Goddess of Phoenix which was passed on to me after one thousand years; like it was said in that old scroll. So I decided to try my powers and give Sesshoumaru's arm back. Besides he had done so much for me, it is just a little favour back."

"You do realize that he will try to kill us all anytime," Kagome said still not forgetting the time she was nearly killed by him. "I mean he is a youkai who doesn't give a damn about anyone."

"He does care about me…"

"If so where is he now?" Kagome retort angrily. "Why did he go and leave you here?"

"Actually, he told me that he will return shortly," Sakura said softly turning towards the forest. "He went to fetch Jakken and Rin that is all. He left them in the forest when he came to look for me in our time."

"Who is Rin?" Kagome asked for she had never seen the little girl before though she could remember that ugly toad she had fought with.

"Rin is an orphan human girl Sesshoumaru-sama took care of." Sakura replied turning her attention back to Kagome. "I met her in the forest with Ah Aun before I met Sesshoumaru-sama."

"Human little girl?"

"Hai, so Sesshoumaru-sama isn't such a heartless youkai if he would take care of a little girl right…"

"I guess…" Kagome answered hesitantly and wonderingly.

It was perhaps a few hours passed Sesshoumaru had left the village and Sakura waited for him to return with Rin and Jakken patiently. She walked around the quiet village drinking in the scenery and watching the men plowing the fields. However when she reached the edge of the forest something else caught her attention. She frowned looking between the trees to see a small white figure and something shining out from the dimmed forest. She blinked once focusing on the figure and realized it was a little girl carrying a mirror.

Immediately she recognized that little girl, she had seen her before when she fought with Kagura the wind demon with Kouga. She inclined her head watching her wondering why did she come to this part of the forest? After a minute passed the little girl turned away and walked deeper into the forest. Quirking her eyebrows, Sakura looked back to the village and then back at the little girl who was walking slowly away from her. Out of curiousity, Sakura decided to follow her. Taking another look behind the village she stepped into the forest, taking the risk to find out what this little girl want.

Sesshoumaru was leading Jakken and Rin back to the village when he caught a familiar scent nearby and frowned. Wondering why she was around and in this part of the woods.

"Rin, Jakken, stay here," Sesshoumaru ordered. "I'll be right back."

With that he jumped off to the direction, he was sure that Xiaran stood waiting for him.

Kagura sat on top of one of the tallest tree in the forest on a broad branch watching the scene below her imperturbably. She tapped her closed fan on her shoulder as she saw Sesshoumaru approaching Xiaran slowly. She sighed inwardly.

Having to watch this boring couple, she thought to herself muffling a yawn. Why does Naraku always ask me to do things like this?

She had shielded her scent from Sesshoumaru so that he couldn't detect her even though she was close by to keep a watch out at what was happening. When time comes she will have to appear. She turned around and saw in a distant Sakura following Kanna into the forest and she smirked.

Things are going as is planned. She thought to herself and waited for the time she had to act.

"Why are you here?" Sesshoumaru asked as he stood a foot away from Xiaran.

"I came to apologize." She said softly closing the distant between Sesshoumaru and herself.

"You do know that I do not forgive anyone easily…" Sesshoumaru replied emotionlessly staring down at Xiaran coldly.

"I know, but we knew each other for so long," Xiaran said sadly. "Please don't let a slight misunderstanding ruin our relationship."

Sesshoumaru remained silent as he continued to stare coldly at her.

"Please…" Xiaran sighed. "We could be such a great couple… you hated humans… why now… why her?"

What is that little girl doing? Sakura wondered as she followed her until she reached a clearing and that girl disappeared. She looked around trying to find her and something else caught her attention. She moved closer to the clearing and nearly gasped when she saw Sesshoumaru and Xiaran. She quickly ducked behind a tree.

Sesshoumaru picked up Sakura's scent immediately when Sakura came closer even though he didn't see her. However, Xiaran scented her too and moved closer to Sesshoumaru while he turned his attention away from her to look for Sakura.

"We will be so happy together!" Xiaran said loudly and pulled Sesshoumaru down towards her smashing her lips onto his.

Sesshoumaru who was taken off guard, as Xiaran's lips was crushed onto his ruthlessly. Anger siege through him like wild fire as he turned his attention back to her; gripping onto her shoulders, his claws digging into her kimono drawing blood to her skin to pry her away from him but a scream of remorse stopped their kissing instead…

Sakura hid behind the tree as she watched Xiaran and Sesshoumaru standing close together. She watched them with a feeling of dread and sadness in her heart wondering what they were talking about. Then she heard Xiaran's voice loud and clear, saying `We will be so happy together!' and her worst feared was confirmed.

So Sesshoumaru, still hate humans, she thought as she watched them sadly. How can she be so stupid to believe that he actually do care about her, even though he doesn't truly love her. She still held on to a hope that he want her around.

Kagome's voice came to her head then, `He despises them. He never gave a damn about humans because he always thinks we humans are lowly creatures."

Sakura shook her head; trying to clear her head from her doubts. She didn't want to believe it. No matter what she didn't want to admit that Sesshoumaru didn't care about her. Her confidence failed her when she saw them kissing.

She felt her heart beat quicken then, it was pounding painfully on her chest as she bent over clutching the fabric of her uniform. Her eyes shut tight she took deep breaths trying to calm herself but it didn't work as her pain doubled and as if her heart was about to tear opened.

"AUGHHHHH!!!!!" Sakura threw her head back screaming her lungs out as both her hands pressed onto her heart as if something was hurting her heart severely.

At the same time, two red silhouette shaped of cobra snake shot out from her body splitting the tree half in front of her and like lighting speed they strike out at other trees chopping them off as the trees tumbled to the ground around Sesshoumaru and Xiaran before they flashed up into the sky coiling together with each other disappearing into the clouds which had suddenly turned dark, wind was blowing hard and red lighting was flashing.

Sakura's shoulder length hair started to grow longer, as two teeth became longer giving her fangs. Her body grew in all the right places, giving her a very beautiful matured body and she then sank to her knees her hair blowing around her face, as she stared at Sesshoumaru will dulled eyes. All she felt now was regret that she ever knew and cared about him if it could bring so much pain to her. The only thing she could do now was forget about him.

"Sesshoumaru-sama…" Sakura uttered a whisper and that was the last time she would ever call him that.

"What the hell was that?" Inuyasha cried as they stared at the lighting and dark sky not far from the village in the Inuyasha Forest.

"I don't know…" Kagome said nervously feeling bad aura getting stronger and stronger every minute.

"Evil force…" Miroku said. "Very strong…"

"Don't you think we should go check it out?" Sango said.

"Inuyasha" Kagome asked uncertainly and realized that Sakura wasn't around. "Where is Sakura?"

"She went for a walk in the village…" Shippo said. "I saw her walking down the river…"

"Well, she will be safe as long as she stay in the village…" Kagome said. "Let's go check what is going on over there…"

Sesshoumaru watched as the beautiful girl he knew, transformed into a most enchanted looking lady he had ever seen. But when Sakura's usual bright eyes; now lifeless and dulled bored back into his, he couldn't help but feel pain at the way she was looking at him.

She had seen Xiaran kissing me… Sesshoumaru thought. But it is not what it seemed to be…

"Sakura…" Sesshoumaru whispered as he moved closer to her.

However, before he could get any closer, Kagura suddenly jumped down from nowhere with her usual confident smirk on her face and stood in front of Sakura blocking her from Sesshoumaru's view.

"Yo," She greeted. "Sesshoumaru, I am surprised at you to be tricked at such petty scheme…"

"Go away." Sesshoumaru growled.

"Ah, well I will," Kagura said picking a feather from behind her head on her bun. "I'm here to collect someone that's all… I'll be on my way… ja-ne…"

A gust of strong wind started blowing as Kagura transformed her pin size feather into an enormous one carrying herself and Sakura who still looked dazed and with her eyes lifeless and they disappeared into the clouds above.

Sesshoumaru turned to Xiaran murderously and in a flashed; Sesshoumaru had her neck squished in his hand as she was lifted off several inches from the ground.

"Where is Kagura taking Sakura?" Sesshoumaru snarled.

"I am not very sure…" Xiaran squeaked. "Why do you still care about her? After all she is no longer Sakura anymore…"

"What are you trying to say?" Sesshoumaru snapped tightening his grip around her neck.

"I mean…" Xiaran started chocking by the lack of air. "I mean..."

Sesshoumaru loosen his grip and waited for her to continue.

"She is now the Great Cobra Demon," Xiaran said. "A most powerful demon feared by everyone. Like that… that prophecy had written… Sakura no longer exists…"

"Cobra Demon?" Sesshoumaru repeated, for that title rang a bell in his head. "Eviler…"

"Hai," Xiaran choked again. "Eviler, the Great Cobra Demon…"

Sesshoumaru couldn't understand how can his sweet innocent Sakura become something so evil? She was always so kind and gentle and never liked anyone being hurt could become something so dangerous. It just didn't make sense at all.

"Sesshoumaru…" A familiar voice called bringing him back to reality and he drop Xiaran turning to look at his half brother. "What is going on here?"

"I need to ask you human…" Sesshoumaru turned to Kagome ignoring Inuyasha.

"Kagome…" She interrupted heatedly.

"Did Sakura ever tell you anything about how she had powers that she knows not about?" Sesshoumaru continued ignoring her statement.

"What do you mean?" Kagome asked looking slightly worried. "What happened? I thought Sakura was in the village!"

"You want Sakura?" Xiaran said softly getting up to her feet. "I'll bring you to her…"

Sesshoumaru turned to Xiaran who looked at him sadly.

"But let me warned you…" Xiaran continued as she turned away and begin walking. "Don't be surprise when you meet her again. She will no longer be the Sakura you all know…"

"How can we trust you?" Inuyasha asked eyeing the female inu youkai suspiciously. "I can smell Naraku all over you; you must be working for him."

"Well, you already got the answer on where to find her…" Xiaran said as she stopped walking suddenly turning her head slightly to look at Inuyasha. "Naraku had been planning this from the day he knew what Sakura is."

"What happened? Is Sakura all right?" Kagome asked apprehensively.

"She is alright," Xiaran turned away from them. "It is just that she no longer have a heart…"

"What does that mean?" Sesshoumaru growled.

"Sakura no longer feel, passion, sadness, nervousness, fear, anger," Xiaran explained tonelessly. "And above of all human love is totally forgotten. She is now the most heartless being that walks the earth…"

Everyone remained silent after Xiaran finished explaining; shock from the realization of what had happened to Sakura. They couldn't understand why as they followed her. Kagome couldn't believe her cousin had become so evil, the cousin she had played with when she was younger, shared all their secrets together and had been there for each other when there were problems. This was just so unbelievable.

Sesshoumaru's thoughts was more troubled than Kagome's, he cursed himself for not able to stop this from happening. He knew that it was his fault that Sakura had become what she had turned into and it was his responsibility for not able to stop it from happening. So he made a vow that no matter what happened even change his life for hers, he will bring her back.

It was night when they reached Naraku's palace. As they reached the barrier that Naraku made, a hole suddenly appeared for them to go through and Xiaran lead the group into the palace slowly. At the doors Naraku sat waiting for them with a triumphant smile on his face, which Sesshoumaru would love to get rid of.

"Where is Sakura?" Sesshoumaru demanded immediately.

"You mean Eviler…" Naraku smirked. "She is happy here with me, why do you think she would follow you back?"

"Let us see her, please…" Kagome pleaded.

Naraku smiled cruelly as he watched the group. Not long later he turned his head to see Sakura standing by the door in an arrogant manner. All her features were shadowed and the silhouette of her body shown to everyone how well she had developed as she stood behind Naraku. Slowly she walked out into the lights as Kagome gasped softly to see the changes on Sakura.

She no longer looked angelic and innocent as her eyes were cruel and reptile green. Her skin porcelain, pale looking and her usual shoulder length hair were now long reaching down her waist and were striking red. There was a gold head band with a cobra head protruding out in the middle. She wore a sleek long black gown with a slit on her left leg. She looked exactly like the maiden showed on the scroll. Except her face, was still Sakura's though all the kindness, gentleness and softness on her face were gone.

As she stood side by side with Naraku, two cobra snakes suddenly appeared coiling themselves up her body and it encircled both her arms; their head bobbing next to her shoulders hissing. She smiled maliciously then as she stared at the group before her. At the way she was looking at them, everyone realized that she could not remember who they were.

Sesshoumaru's mouth would have dropped opened a mile if he was not controlling his facial features as he watched Sakura.

What happened to her? He thought desolately though his expression guarded.

Sesshoumaru: I'm going to kill Ray!

Kagome: You can say that again!

They looked around the empty room.

Sesshoumaru: Hiding is no good, I have a good nose!

Kagome: What is that smell?

Sesshoumaru: (Sniff the air slightly and cursed) Damn, she had to put that aroma thing in the room. Smart, it covers all her scent.

Kagome: It's lavender… (Pondering on the smell) Ah well, we will have to wait for her to return…

Ray hiding in the cupboard sweat drop.

OK I know the chapter is confusing and why Sakura suddenly turned into a Cobra Demon … well everything will be more in detail in the next chapter… I'll try to put it up soon…
