InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Hopeless, or maybe not? ❯ The fight ( Chapter 1 )

`Its days like today that I wonder why I bother returning to Inuyasha at all.' Kagome thought as said hanyou continued his yelling. `Here I am sitting on the edge of the well in Sengoku Jidai, and all Inuyasha wants to do is yell at me. I mean why is he so angry today? I even returned 2 days earlier than I said I would and he's yelling at me for it.' Kagome mentally huffed as Inuyasha showed no indication of stopping his tirade. “Are you even listening to me bitch?” Inuyasha yelled furiously, his mouth going faster than his brain at the moment. Kagome's eyes had narrowed dangerously as soon as that word had left his mouth. She was now angry beyond all reason, god how she hated that word. She sucked in a breath as Inuyasha cringed preparing himself for what he knew would come. “Inuyasha…” Kagome said sweetly, “SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!” As she shook from the force of her anger, Inuyasha muttered expletives into the dirt. “Why are you yelling at me today, Inuyasha? I came back early and even had your permission to go, so what are you angry at me for?!” Kagome questioned the dirt eating hanyou. As soon as the spell wore off, Inuyasha got up and stormed into the forest. Kagome sighed and headed toward Kaede's village.

 

Inuyasha practically flew through the trees as he distanced himself from the currently fuming miko. He hadn't meant to start yelling at her like that; hell he was glad she was back earlier than she said. Sometimes he cursed this damn mouth of his for saying the wrong thing to her, he had actually wanted to welcome her back. It wasn't all his fault of course; it was the damn blood in his veins that made him react that way. His human side had wanted to sweep her into his arms and never let her go, while his demon side was furious at her leaving his side in the first place. The two sides of him raged and argued over which direction he should take and made him irritated and angry, and unfortunately Kagome had bared the brunt of his anger. He didn't, however understand why the word bitch upset her so much. He hadn't meant anything bad by it, being Inu-hanyou and all, the word bitch just asserted his claim over her. He sighed as he came upon the Goshinbuku and leapt onto his favourite branch. Perhaps a nap would help calm him, then he could apologize to Kagome.
