InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ How Do We Learn to Love the Ones We Hate? ❯ Enter a She-Male Prince and a Tomboy Princess ( Chapter 12 )
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
Disclaimer: I own absolutely no characters created by Rumiko Takahashi; as much as I wish I was brilliant enough to come up with these characters, but I did not. This goes for everything but the ideas. A lot are spin-offs of different ideas in the story, but others are completely off the charts for weirdness and/or are not related to Takahashi's work at all.
Enter a She-Male Prince and a Tomboy Princess
(Brace yourself; the story is about to get weird.)
Kagome groaned and wrenched her eyes open. Deja vu. That was strange, almost as if she'd gone through waking up from that drug before. Good god her head hurt.
“Are you awake?”
Kagome growled. She knew that voice, and she hated it.
Kikyo was smugger than she had ever been before. Kagome looked up and glared at her, not that it did much good, because she soon found that she was bound with chains. Not rope, chains.
Kagome looked up and almost screamed at the sight of who was carrying her. He looked like a demon with green claw-like patterns on his face and grey streaks in his hair. What's more, he was smirking at her like he was about to cook her and eat her.
“What are you doing?” Kagome rasped at Kikyo, her voice sandpapery from the drug.
“Getting rid of you.” Kikyo said plainly.
“I might as well tell you because you cant come back. The maid that drugged you is the demon that took over Sango's mind.”
“The demon that…” Kagome said in realization as she remembered what Miroku had said.
“Her name is Fukuhon,” Kikyo continued, “she has the power to morph into different females' forms. Right now, she is in your form and will tell Inuyasha that she hates him. I then step in and take your place with Inuyasha and Bankotsu marries `Kagome', letting us take over both of your kingdoms.”
“You bitch.” Kagome hissed.
“Oh I haven't even begun.” Kikyo smirked. “Did you know that it was my father who attacked poor Sango's village? He now has Kohaku.”
“No!” Kagome shrieked, struggling futilely against her bonds because the man was almost as strong as a full demon.
“So even if Sango realizes it because she knows of Fukuhon's shape shifting powers, she can't do a single thing.”
“How dare you?” Kagome yelled, hoping that somehow, someone would hear her.
“Oh, how rude of me. Kagome, this is Suikotsu, one of my brother's Band of Seven.”
Kagome felt her blood run cold. The Band of Seven? But their leader is supposed to be dead! It's not possible! But, I don't even know their leaders name… oh my god, everyone will be killed if it's true!
“I know what you're thinking.” Kikyo smirked wickedly. “Yes, Bankotsu was killed by a jealous suitor, but our father resurrected him with a jewel shard made by the demon Hosenki.”
So it's true, but the Band of Seven are the strongest in almost all the land, no, I have to warn them!
“There it is.” Kikyo pointed through the trees where Kagome could just barely make out an old beat up well, all of it's wood cracked and splintering from age, with vines wound up around it from lack of use.
“You're going to drown me?” Kagome spat.
Kikyo shivered. “Too barbaric. No, when I said I was getting rid of you and that you couldn't come back, did I say that I was going to kill you?”
Kikyo walked up to the well and beckoned Suikotsu forward. He brought Kagome close enough so that she could see the inside of the well. No wonder it wasn't in use, it was completely dried up.
“Bye Kagome!” Kikyo smiled as Suikotsu held her over the well and dropped her, and instead of hitting the bottom, she was engulfed in a blue light and continued to fall, screaming at Kikyo's laughing form the entire time until she passed out from lack of oxygen.
Kikyo straightened up when the light disappeared, leaving a just a dried up well, and looked at Suikotsu.
“Let's go.” She said quietly and turned walked away, back towards the Takashi Lands.
Well, Uh… Somewhere That You Haven't Learned of Yet for this Story, So I Cant Tell You Where It Is
Kagome woke up cold. Well duh, it was night and she was wrapped, head to toe in metal chains. She tried to sit up and finally managed to push herself up against the edge of the well to rest. She looked up into the night air. Nothing looked different.
Was Kikyo an idiot? Well, more of an idiot than Kagome had initially intended.
There's no way I'm going to get out of here. Even my legs are chained. There wasn't anyone around before, but I better call out unless I want to die of starvation or thirst.
Kagome took a deep breath, wincing as her lungs screamed in protest from the force of the landing. How? She hadn't even hit, she'd fallen through some blue light. And she screamed.
Tears pricked at her eyes as her lungs felt like they would burst, and actually poured over in gratitude when she heard voices.
“Did you hear that?” The first one was a girl.
“Yeah, from over hear.” The second, a boy, answered.
“Hello?” the girl called out.
“I'm here!” Kagome cried, worried that they wouldn't hear her because her chest was too much in pain to get a good enough breath to really yell.
The light from a lamp came into view and two heads poked over the top of the well. A girl and a boy, the girl with an almost blue bob-cut and the boy with a black pigtail.
“There's someone down there.” the girl said in clear surprise. “Are you ok?”
“I don't think so Akane, she's chained up like someone would be if their killer was trying to drown them by sinking them in a river.” The boy answered for Kagome.
“Ranma, go get her, quickly, she's shivering!” Akane waved him forward.
“Alright, alright.” The boy, Ranma, jumped over the edge of the well and landed lightly by her, scooping her up in a bridal hold and jumping back out of the well.
How is that even possible? He looks human enough, but…
“Are you alright? What happened?” Akane asked her. Kagome looked between the two and couldn't take the stress, blacking out again.
Kagome awoke in one of the strangest beds she had ever seen. It was large and white and had some sort of canopy over it, so that she had to push back the silk curtain to see out. What she was wearing was also extremely weird. It wasn't any sort of kimono, but she guessed that it was a nightgown because she had been sleeping in it.
She had to take deep breaths to steady herself, because that wasn't the only weird thing. Their was a table in the room that was off the floor, and what she assumed were chairs were off the floor too, not on the ground like the floor mats she was used to in hers and Inuyasha's palace, and had railings on the side and something to keep you falling off them backwards.
The door didn't slide to open, it had some sort of knob on it that Kagome guessed pulled it open, and the windows weren't slide either, they were… see through somehow.
“Are you awake?”
Kagome yelped, after all, she couldn't see the person through the silk; they were just a human-shaped blob.
The person walked forward and pulled back the curtain, revealing a beautiful young woman carrying tray of food, most of which Kagome had ever seen before.
“My name is Rouge.” The woman curtsied. “I have been assigned to you Miss…?”
“We have been assigned to you as well, please!” Two more girls stepped through the door, both with short haircuts and Chinese clothes that wore flowers in their hair. “We are Pink and Link, please!” both looked exactly alike, except for the one called Pink was always smiling, while Link was always frowning.
"I-I'm… K-Kagome.” Kagome stuttered, awed by all of her surroundings.
“Princess Akane will see you when you're ready.” Rouge set the tray on the bedside table and exited after another curtsy. Pink and Link ran out after her saying that they would make Kagome's bath when she was ready after seeing Princess Akane.
Where am I? Kagome thought in a panic, looking around frantically.
She looked at the food again and her stomach churned from nerves, so she decided not to eat. It wouldn't be good if she threw up in front of this Princess Akane. She stood and slid out of the bed that was too high off the ground, unlike her futon back in her castle.
Well, I can't exactly appear in front of her in this nightdress, so… is there a closet around here somewhere?
Kagome tried to open the first door she came to, and wrestled with it until she discovered that you had to turn the knob to open it and found… she didn't even know what it was. It looked like a very large white bowl that was filled with water with a white box on the back. She closed it and tried the next door, finding some more peculiar clothes.
She stepped in and pulled one off a hook. It was pink, with a skirt the ballooned out at the bottom like air was pumped into it. To say the least, it was not a kimono. How the hell was she even supposed to put it on?
First thing was first, so she looked at how to get the nightdress off, and finally managed to wriggle it over her head. She left it folded on the ground and searched around for a dress that she liked in her, finally picking out a white long-sleeved one that didn't balloon out because it looked more like a kimono, with literally every inch of it covered in pearls. It also had some sort of translucent white fabric that draped from her sleeves and back.
She wriggled it over her head the opposite way that she had gotten the nightdress of and looked in a set of drawers in the closet, finding a pearl clip that she put in her hair.
Now what? Kagome stepped cautiously out the door the maid had left through and poked her head around the corner, following the sound of voices until she entered the great hall, finding herself at the top of a large set of carpeted stairs, a long high table at the bottom of the stairs with Akane and Ranma at it, along with a large array of others.
The stress was getting to be too much again; this was a really large family.
“You're awake!” Akane stood up; she was in another one of those dresses that flared out below the waist. “I'm sorry I didn't catch your name, or where you where from.”
“I'm Lady Kagome.” Kagome sighed and bowed, finding at least that this was the same as her home. “Of the Higurashi clan.”
“Well then, welcome young princess.” The man at the head of the table stood and bowed, putting one hand across his stomach.
That's weird. Kagome thought. (Note: in Japan, girls bow by folding their hands over the front of their skirt and men bow with their hands at their side. It's a sign of respect, thanks or apology, not a greeting like in English cultures.)
“Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Soun Tendo, the king of these lands. These are my daughters Kasumi, Nabiki and Akane. This is King Genma Saotome of my neighboring lands. That is his wife Queen Nodoka, and their son Prince Ranma is engaged to my daughter Akane.”
“Which wasn't my choice.” Akane huffed, crossing her arms.
“Well I didn't ask to marry a think tomboy either---” Ranma began, but was quickly cut off when Akane hit him in the face with the dish that was in front of her.
At that moment, the wall opposite Ranma exploded, and a boy appeared through the smoke with his finger extended as if he had poked the wall and made it explode. “Ranma, prepare to die!” the boy lunged forward.
“What the hell are you doing here Ryoga?” Ranma jumped up, dodging the boy's attack with incredible ease. “You sent a challenge, but it's only been three days since I got it, you're early!”
“Shut up!” Ryoga bellowed. “How dare you talk to Akane that way?!”
“Nihao Ranma!” a girl with purple hair jumped through the window and grabbed onto Ranma's neck, slowing him down from avoiding Ryoga.
“Shampoo get off!” Ranma yelled.
Shampoo? Is that her name? Kagome cocked her head to the side, stuck at the top of the stairs.
“Ranma I will not allow you to defile my Shampoo!” a boy with shoulder length black hair jumped through the same window that Shampoo had come through and began attacking a statue of a bear in the corner, soon popping on a pair of glasses and charging the real Ranma.
“Go away Mousse!” Shampoo yelled. “Shampoo is not yours!”
“Ranma-honey!” a girl brandishing a stupidly large spatula ran through the door and stopped to look at what was happening before charging Shampoo. “You hussy, he's my fiancée!”
“Ranma is Shampoo's groom! Is not stupid Ukyo-spatula-girl's fiancée!”
When Ranma jumped over by Akane to get out of the way of all the attacks, she merely punched him on the head and stormed away, yelling: “Why don't you just go be with your cute fiancées?!”
“Why would I want to be with them?” Ranma yelled after her, picking his head out of the ground and running after her. “I mean sure you're pretty scrawny, but---”
Akane swiftly punched him in the face again, sending him flying, when a boy with pantyhose wrapped around his waist came crashing through the door, while Rouge, Pink and Link came bursting through another, looking for the source of the commotion. Then a few things happened at once.
Ranma greeted the new boy by yelling “Pantyhose Taro!” and Pantyhose Taro aimed a flying kick at his head while yelling “Don't call me that, cross dresser!”. At that same second, rouge yelled at Taro “The vile pervert!” and he yelled back “Who's vile?!”. Pink and Link also spotted Shampoo at that moment and charged her, throwing poisonous flowers and pollen everywhere, yelling “Prepare yourself Shampoo, please!”
And just when Kagome thought things would have to be cursed to get any weirder, Ranma knocked a large vase over while dodging Ryoga, splashing everyone with water. Ryoga then became a pig, Ranma turned into a girl, Mousse into a duck, Pantyhose Taro into something that looked like it came from a mix between a yeti while riding an ox while carrying an eel and a crane, Rouge became an Asura, Genma became a panda and Nodoka said “Oh my.” (Note: Nodoka doesn't want to kill Ranma if he's not manly.)
Kagome's eye twitched at the sight of the Asura blowing fire at Pantyhose Taro, who was trying to kill Ranma along with the pig and the duck, and Ranma seemed to be terrified of the cat and was running around the room away from it screaming his---her---his---her head off and knocking everything into a million pieces, Ukyo and the cat were chasing after Ranma, and Pink and Link were throwing what looked like bushel after bushel of poisonous flowers at the cat. Meanwhile, the girl Nabiki seemed to be counting up expenses, Soun was wailing “My castle!” and Kasumi was shaking her head murmuring “Father, Father, Father.”
“Is…” Kagome began to Akane, who had just walked up the stairs.
“It always like this?” Akane finished for her. “Yep, always.”
“So you and Ranma are engaged?” Kagome asked as Akane led her out a back door to a beautiful flower-covered cliff that overlooked the ocean.
“Yeah, along with Ukyo and Shampoo.” Akane sniffed. “Ranma's father engaged that jerk to me, and him to Ukyo after that, and then Ranma defeated Shampoo and it's some Amazon law that she has to marry a man that beats her. There's also Kodachi, who isn't engaged to him, but tried to poison him to get him to marry her. So, it gets a little noisy around here when they show up.”
“I-I see.” Kagome nodded, trying not to let her thoughts show on her face.
“Mousse also like Shampoo, so he's always trying to beat Ranma to win Shampoo, but Ranma cant be beat, he's too strong. And I think Ryoga likes me, but he's too shy to say anything.”
Kagome blinked as she thought she caught a tiny smile on Akane's face when she said Ranma's name. So, then she likes him… but doesn't want anyone else to know?... This is a fucked up world if you can't even admit that you like someone after being engaged to them.
“Do you get jealous? I would kill them if they were doing that to Inuyasha.” She growled.
“Inuyasha?” Akane repeated, yelping when Kagome grabbed her shoulders.
“My half demon fiancée! Akane please! You have to take me to the well you found me in!”
“Why?” Akane stumbled back a few steps before she found her footing again.
“I know it'll sound like I'm crazy, but I'm not from this world, at least I don't think, this girl wants my kingdom and she's going to try to take Inuyasha in the process, she sent me here through that well! Please take me there!” Kagome pleaded, tears pooling in her eyes as she remembered what Kikyo had said.
"A-alright.” Akane took her hand and looked around before nodding at the correct direction and started off through the woods, Kagome almost screaming at the slow pace they were going at.
Akane soon pointed off through the trees and Kagome spied the well in a clearing, she didn't wait for anything else, she ran towards it and jumped over the side, ignoring Akane's surprised cry of: “Hey!” and bracing herself for the blue light, shrieking when she hit solid ground way too soon.
“No.” Kagome whispered and got on her hands and knees, scraping at the dirt with her hands. “No!”
“Are you ok?” Akane yelled, her head swinging over the side.
“I can't get through!” Kagome yelled in a panic. “Kikyo threw me in and I fell through this blue light and landed in this world.”
Akane blinked. “… Y-You aren't the only thing that's fallen through Kagome.” Akane said quietly.
“All sorts of people, but none of them have been able to go back to… where ever, if it was just those few people I would have thought they were just crazy, but you were chained at the bottom of the well, and everyone knows that it's been dry forever, and everyone knows that we check it all the time for people, so…” she held a hand down for Kagome. “I don't think you're lying, but nothing's gone back through to where ever it was you came from.”
Kagome looked at it painfully before taking Akane's hand and letting her pull her up. “No one?” she whispered. Akane shook her head apologetically.
“No!” Kagome shrieked, tearing at her hair and bending over so far her head almost touched the ground. “She's going to kill him! She has a demon that can take my form! And she's going to make `me' marry her bastard of a brother! I can't let her!” Kagome fell to the ground and sobbed, she couldn't help it. She couldn't do anything to help him. Inuyasha was going to die, and she couldn't even be there with him. At least he had been with his mother when she had gone.
Akane slowly got down on her knees and cautiously put her hands on Kagome's shoulders.
“Akane?” Kagome heard Ranma's call over her body-racking sobs, and he soon ran into the clearing. “Is she ok?”
“Ranma,” Akane said slowly, “all those people at the bottom of the well… they were telling the truth.”
“What do you mean?” Ranma said seriously, bending down by Kagome. “Did she…?” Kagome felt Akane nod beside her.
“Let's get back to the castle.” Akane stood and must have told Ranma to carry her, because the next moment, he had picked her up in a bridal hold and ran back to the castle with Akane running next to him.
“You should sleep.” Kasumi said when she saw Kagome's cheeks stained with her tears.
Kagome shook her head vigorously. Akane stepped up to Kagome and whispered something in her ear, Kasumi looked at Kagome and smiled. “She does look like Chikurin.”
“Who?” Kagome choked out.
“I want to show her the story of Chikurin and Tenma, Ranma.” Akane turned to him. “It just seems… too similar to be a coincidence.”
Ranma nodded and set Kagome down so Akane could lead her up the a long set of stairs hidden behind a portrait of a woman that looked very much like Akane, it read `Queen Tendo, died August 6'
That must be her mother. Kagome stopped momentarily to bow at the portrait before she ran to catch up with Akane, who smiled at her in thanks.
“Who's Chikurin?” Kagome asked, wiping her eyes with her finger and trying to rub out the tearstains on her cheeks.
“Well, she's… uh, it'll just be easier to show you.” Akane tried to explain, but decided not to and kept climbing the stairs.
She finally came to a locked door and pulled a small key from inside her sash and unlocked a secret keyhole, not the one that looked like the keyhole. She pushed open the old door with a huge creak that echoed down the stairs and stepped aside to let Kagome in.
It was a sunroom, with half of the room wall's made of that see through window. There were several bookshelves and one table, and some sort of locked cabinet in the back corner.
“I come up here to relax, and sometimes Ranma joins me.” Akane said in a monotone voice, but she was clearly happy when she said Ranma's name.
“So what did you want to show me?” Kagome asked, taking the seat the Ranma pulled out for her.
“We have a fairytale, you know, for kids' bedtime stories, but one is about a girl, well, princess named Chikurin who falls in love with a half human half demon named Tenma.” (Note: Chikurin means bamboo, and Kagome means bamboo weaving, Inuyasha also means, literally, dog demon, and Tenma means demon, so they would be alike.)
“They try to get together, but there's this family that wants to kill the two because they're both heirs to these monstrous fortunes, so the story ends where the family is killed by Tenma and Chikurin, but mostly because Chikurin used something called the Shikon Jewel to release her full powers and kill the father, the head of the family.”
“The Shikon Jewel?” Kagome repeated. But that's the one that we have to get from Ryukotsusei for the Black Magic siblings…
“Also…” Akane pulled a dusty book off of the bookshelf and flipped it open to a certain page, placing it in front of Kagome. Akane pointed to Chikurin and Kagome almost choked on air. Chikurin was the exact image of her, there wasn't a single physical difference. Kagome flipped the page and shot up from her chair, sending it flying.
“That's Inuyasha!” she cried, jabbing the one who was supposed to be Tenma in the story. He was holding a small pink glowing bead out to Chikurin who was glowing with the same color as the jewel's power.
“Not only that…” Akane pulled out another small key from her sash and unlocked the cabinet, pulling out something and placing it in Akane's hand. A small, pink bead; exactly like the one in the book.
“Is that…?” Kagome touched it lightly with her finger as Akane shrugged.
“We think so, we found it at the bottom of the well where we found you. We thought someone had just dropped it, but maybe it fell through from your world.” Ranma put in, sitting in the chair next to her.
“But,” Kagome stuttered, “we're supposed to get it from Ryukotsusei, from our world, why is it here?”
“Maybe someone thought it was too dangerous and tried to hide it here, or just threw it down in the well to hide it, not knowing that it would fall through to this world.” Akane sat down in the seat next to Ranma, scooting it closer to him inconspicuously as she pushed it in.
“In any event,” Kagome said, bringing herself back to her main reason for if she ever needed to commit suicide, “how do I go back? I have to go help Inuyasha.”
Akane and Ranma looked at each other, soon Ranma shrugged and Akane just looked at the floor. Kagome took that as a clear: `We have no idea.'
She almost started crying again. The feeling of being absolutely powerless washing over her again.
“What do I do?” she asked tearfully, even though she knew there was no answer to that question. At least… not yet if she had anything to say about it.
Takashi Palace
Inuyasha couldn't think, he couldn't breath, screw thinking. How could she have said that, shattered his world in a few short sentences.
Six Minutes Earlier
“Kagome?” Inuyasha knocked and slowly opening the door. “Do you mind if I sit with you?”
“Well, actually…” Kagome said, smiling in apology, “I was just on my way to see Bankotsu.”
Inuyasha blinked. “Why…?”
“Well… he… you know… wanted to show me some stars.” Kagome shrugged.
“Stars?” Inuyasha repeated, not able to believe what she was saying.
“Yeah, um,” Kagome set down her book, not looking up from the cover on the table as she spoke, “Inuyasha, we need to talk.”
“Ok.” Inuyasha said slowly. She isn't going to, she just isn't. He told himself firmly.
“Inuyasha, I don't think we should go through with this wedding.” Kagome stood up, not looking at him.
Inuyasha felt his heart stop. He wanted to ask her who had taken over her mind. He wanted to ask her who she was really, because that wasn't Kagome in front of him. He wanted to scream and yell. He wanted to run from this room. Instead he said: “Why? I thought that we said that it wasn't just our parents' agreement.”
“You said that.” Kagome corrected. “But for me, it was just to end the war, because my people are the most important thing in this arrangement.”
“So,” Inuyasha choked out, “you like…”
“Bankotsu.” Kagome finished for him. “I'm sorry Inuyasha.”
“Why didn't you say so sooner?” So I wouldn't have fallen in love with you. That part he didn't say out loud.
“Because the reason for our engagement was so that the war between our families would end. I couldn't have risked a war.”
“Then, lets make a treaty right now.” Inuyasha said as if he was on autopilot, trying to do everything he could to make Kagome happy for the last few moments they were together. “So a war will never happen.”
Kagome smiled, almost as if the smile wasn't hers. “Thank you Inuyasha.”
She pulled a peace of paper out and wrote something on it, saying what she wrote as she documented it. “Lady Kagome Higurashi and Lord Inuyasha Takashi proclaim that no wars will become between them during their reigns.” She dotted the paper roughly after that and then signed her name, handing him the paper and quill when he was done.
Inuyasha's hand shook, but he managed to somehow get his signature down on paper. “There.” He handed it back to her.
“Good bye Inuyasha.” Kagome walked over to him and kissed his cheek, a kiss that didn't feel like hers before walking out and leaving him standing in her room.
Six Minutes Later
His feet were walking, but he didn't know or care where he was going, until he bumped into the railing of his balcony, the balcony that he and Kagome shared because of their adjacent rooms. He would have to move to a different room.
He growled and then sighed, almost tearing up when he saw Kagome leaning on Bankotsu's arm as he pointed out different constellations. They were laughing, obviously happy with each other.
“Inuyasha…”
Inuyasha turned to the voice, and saw Kikyo standing there with her hands clasped together in front of her. She looked so apologetic it almost pushed his tears out of his tear ducts and into his eyes.
Ok Kikyo, you can do this! She told herself. Sure you suck at starting off relationships, but now's your chance to gain the Takashi lands, you ca do this. Besides, you look so much like that bimbo of an heir to the Higurashi lands, that maybe he'll really love you fast for that. “I-I'm so sorry. Bankotsu has never been one for watching out for others feelings.”
“Yeah.” Inuyasha said automatically, turning to leave.
Kikyo closed her eyes as tight as she could until she felt the tears in her eyes. Good, now go for it! Boys can't resist tears. “Inuyasha… wait!”
Inuyasha turned slowly. “Yeah?” and jumped slightly. She's crying? Why is she crying? Did I do something?
“I…” Kikyo sniffed, “I'm sorry if I've been pushy or an annoyance! It's just that… well I've never been in love before!” she said quickly, turning away from him so she would seem more embarrassed.
“What?” Inuyasha asked, not sure that he heard her right.
“I didn't know what the feelings were at first, so I acted rudely and it was unacceptable! And when I realized what they were, I was jealous of Kagome, so I acted ever ruder than before, and I wanted to apologize.”
“I…” I don't know what to… Inuyasha stuttered, but as he saw Kagome watching him with Bankotsu from down on the ground, he suddenly hated her, and wanted her to think that she hadn't caused him ay grief, so he walked up to Kikyo, grabbed her shoulders, looked her in the eye, and crushed his lips against hers.
Fukuhon smirked as she watched the scene above her. He wants Kagome to think that he doesn't need her, and you don't Inuyasha, trust me.
He smile faded as she looked at Bankotsu, who was not getting as much amusement out of this as he should have been. “What is it?”
“Well, I'm not sure, but when Kikyo said she didn't know what those feelings were, that's what I felt while first being around Kagome.”
“You regret sending her to that other world.” Fukuhon said.
“No.” Bankotsu said too quickly, defending himself.
“Well, you know how to make it so you can get through both ways,” Fukuhon began, “why don't you go get her and use some `friendly persuasion' to get her to marry you instead of me acting as Kagome?”
“I might.” Bankotsu said thoughtfully, finally smiling at how much of an idiot Inuyasha was to kiss Kikyo so suddenly, he had basically just sealed his marriage with Kikyo right there.
Wow, long chapter much ;)
