heh, sry again for taking so long...ive had..more problems...anywho, the next few chaps r probly gunna be really depressing..just to let u know..just try to live through it, i promise everything turns out good in the end! this chap is all bout Sesshoumaru btw!
Chapter 9: Broken Trust
Sesshoumaru sat next to Kagome, staring at her content face. Kagome was physically well, but she had to heal her emotional wounds. Which was the reason why Sesshoumaru sat by her side, waiting for her to awaken. 'I should have been here! I have failed in my task to protect her!' Sesshoumaru thought to himself, trying not to show the rage within himself on his face. 'There has to be some way for me to heal her heart. The one which I am at fault for breaking...' With that thought in mind, Sesshoumaru did the only thing he could think to do: seek out advice.

Hiro sat at his new post, as instructed by his lord. He was to be body guard to the new lady of the house. 'All I hope for is the well being of Lady Kagome' Hiro thought, almost jumping when his lord walked out of the lady's room.
"Hiro, we shall speak within the confines of Kagome's room." Sesshoumaru said, immediately turning around to head back into the room, expecting Hiro to follow.
"Yes my lord." Hiro said, taking a respectful bow, and walking into the room behind Sesshoumaru.
"You have a family, correct?" Sesshoumaru asked, face as stoic as ever.
"Yes my lord." Hiro answered, looking to the floor in confusion.
"Have you ever been in a relationship with a female before?" The lord asked secondly, now looking off to the side towards the wall.
"Um..yes my lord. Although it did not turn well out, but I have learned many valuable lessons from it." Hiro said, now looking to his lords face, very curious as to where this was going.
"That is exactly what I had wished to hear." Sesshoumaru said.
Hiro now looked even more confused then ever. "Why do you say that my lord?" He asked, his face completely and utterly contorted in confusion.
"Kagome has suffered an unmanagebly large amount of emotional damage to her heart. I wish to know how I may heal and fix her suffering." Sesshoumaru asked, looking at Hiro with expectancy in his eyes.
"Well my lord..Kagome is going to want proof that what she thought took place never happened. And if what she saw was truly there, then figure out who has impersonated you." Hiro started out, now seeing curiousity in Sesshoumaru's eyes.
"So, Hiro, you know what has happened for Lady Kagome to be this way?" Sesshoumaru asked, waiting patiently for the answer.
"Well, I know what she saw, and that it could not possibly have taken place. You were off in the Northern Territory, while she claims to have seen you with another woman in your chambers." Hiro explained, watching Sesshoumaru slowly turn enraged.
"Did you ever figure out who had done this?" Sesshoumaru asked, trying to calm his own anger.
"No Lord Sesshoumaru. The woman your impersonator had slept with had only claimed to have had the best night of her life. She said that the only downside was your scar on your back." Hiro said, seeing Sesshoumaru immediately change from anger...to absolute rage.
"What type of scar was this?!" Sesshoumaru asked, eyes now blood red, sitting there as calmly as possible.
"She said a type of burn mark. A spider shape." Hiro said, trying not to flinch from the look of murder in his lords eyes.

Sesshoumaru went to his study, trying to remember where he had heard that before.
"A spider shaped burn mark..." Sesshoumaru said aloud to himself. 'Where could I possibly have heard that before?' Sesshoumaru thought, starting to go through memories that he had. "Why can I not remember?!" Sesshoumaru yelled, finally succoming to his rage. He slashed his desk in half, his rage coming to an end when he noticed a certain scent.
'She is finally awake!' Sesshoumaru thought, streaming through the halls towards her room. Sesshoumaru got there in time to watch her awaken.
Kagome sat up slowly, trying to remember what had happened. Before she could even get her thoughts straight, Sesshoumaru came up to her, hugging her to himself, and starting to ask her questions.
"Have you ever heard of someone with a spider shaped burn upon their back? If you do, I must know who they are. For they have impersonated me to try to trick you into dying. You have to believe me! Do you believe me? I.." Before Sesshoumaru could say anything else, Kagome kissed him, finally making him stop. Breaking apart from the kiss, Kagome decided to answer his questions and fears.
"Spider shaped burn mark? The only one I know of is..." Kagome started, suddenly stopping. 'So HE is the one! Sesshoumaru didn't want to kill me! But..what if Sesshoumaru is just using this as an excuse?'
"Kagome? Who?" Sesshoumaru asked, tilting her head so that their eyes met.
"The only one..is Naraku. If you are telling me the truth about having been impersonated, then it must have been him if he had the spider burn upon his back. Naraku also shape shifts into anyone or anything that he wishes." Kagome told him, starting to wriggle to get free of his embrace, still not believing him comletely.
"Naraku..he will die for trying to hurt you. I will never leave you along like that ever again!" Sesshoumaru proclaimed, looking into her eyes with determination.
'He could still be lying..but I trust him more than I trust Naraku.' Kagome thought to herself, deciding that she would trust Sesshoumaru for now.
