A/N: hello all you wonderful peoples!!!! *^_^* I know, I need to write some chappies for me other fics, but I came up with this GREAT idea for a song fic/one shot!!!!! So I decided to write it!!! Enjoy!!!!

When all this time I've been so hollow inside

Kagome was running through the black night trying to avoid Naraku. She had been traveling by herself for a while now and, while she had been doing well, the burden of Naraku was getting to be too much. She was starting to be pulled down by him and his constant hunting of her. She kept her self from listening to the whispers that surrounded her in the wind, knowing full well that if she did, she would be pulled down.

Watching me

Wanting me

I can feel you pull me down

Fearing you

Moving you

I won't let you pull me down

She could feel Naraku's presence creeping up on her. She decided it was time to stop running. When she decided this, she veered off her path and pulled out a long stiletto dagger and ran towards her prey/hunter.

Hunting you I can smell you

A knife

Your heart pounding in my head

When she got to a clearing, she waited in the night's darkness for him. He appeared right in front of her. With an evil laugh, he charged and the battle for the Shikon and the whole world started. The fate of the world was now resting on Kagome's shoulders.

Watching me

Wanting me

I can feel you pull me down

She was determined. Naraku would be gone after she was done with him. She would not fall prey to his desires for her and she would not let others fall desire to his love of blood and torture. No more.

Saving me

Raping me

Watching me

With a fearsome cry, she ran to meet him with a miko power charged dagger, and they clashed. The fight was going to be short and decided in a few more blows. As Kagome pulled back to regroup her thoughts and to attack again, Naraku attacked with a side swipe that landed her on her rear-end and a huge bloody gash running from her upper thigh, to her calf. As he came at her, she put the dagger up and hit Naraku in the chest with a huge blast of purifying power that she had channeled through the knife. With an earth-shattering yell, Naraku started to dissolve. But he would not go down alone. With the last of his dying strength, he sent poisonous miasma in her direction and then he fell in a pile of green and black acid on the ground, never to harm another innocent.

Moving you

With the last of her strength, Kagome purified the miasma into nothing. As she looked around with dying eyes, she saw that all the damage during the battle had been repaired. She then saw blurry shapes coming to her shouting. She realized it was her friends. Her group now had three new members, Sesshou-Maru, Rin, and Jaken. They had joined them just before Kagome had left. In the short time they had known each other, Sesshou-Maru and her had formed a close bond, that was called love. She had been reunited with her friends and lover in her dying moments. With tears running down her face and her life flashing before her eyes, she realized she didn't want to die yet. She wouldn't give Naraku the pleasure of seeing her die from his view in hell. She then felt a presence beside her.

I won't let you pull me down

"You did well my love. Now feel life again so you may be happy." A voice whispered to her as she closed her eyes and her breath left her with a whisper. But it was not for long. For she suddenly opened her eyes again. There in front of her, were her friends and her lover, Sesshou-Maru sheathing the Tensaiga. She smiled as she went up to them. She had fought for the world against the most evil thing known to man and had won. She had gambled her heart twice and won the second time. She was haunted by regrets and hunted by Naraku no more.

A/N: oh my!!!! You probably thought it was going to be a sad ending didn't you?? well it wasn't!!!! I can't stand sad endings!!!!! So nyah nyah!!!! Ehem…yeah. You like?? Hate??
