Summery: Kagome will no longer wait and becomes the hunter…
Kagome slipped through the trees quietly. The moon spattered the ground with light that shifted and changed just like her own uncertainties had, but it guided her too. Guided her to her prey. Stepping out into a glade she beheld Inuyasha, his back to her.
Unsuspecting.
She paused for a moment, watching the steady movement of his right arm, knowing even before she approached him why he had left the camp, wanting to be alone.
Is it me or Kikyou that he's fantasizing about, she wondered. But before the old pain could stop her, she set her jaw determinedly. After tonight, he won't think of Kikyou anymore.
Creeping forward noiselessly like a predator stalking its prey, Kagome was on him before his distracted senses detected her.
“Wha… Kagome!” In the pale moonlight she saw his blush as he hastily tried to pull his hakama back together.
She caught his wrists. “No. I'm tired of waiting for you to make up your mind, Inuyasha.” She reached down to pull the fabric apart.
“Hey! What are you tryin' to do?”
She ignored his embarrassed anger and leaned in close, letting her breath caress his face. “Be still. Don't make me say the word.”
He flinched and his ears flattened angrily. “Dammit, Kagome…”
But she swallowed his angry protest with her mouth, swiftly moving in to press her lips against his. He stilled in surprise beneath her onslaught and then his lips began to move beneath hers and she was lost to the slip and slide and the dance of their tongues.
Slowly she crawled into his lap, straddling his hips, wrapping her legs around him. One hand slid down to the bunched fabric of his hakama, grasping the still hard member beneath.
Inuyasha gulped. She silenced him with a nip. “Quiet,” she hissed and slipped her hand inside to grasp his impossible warmth.
“Ka…gome…”
She stroked him until his breath came in ragged pants and his ears lay flat. She wiggled forward, pushing her skirt up out of the way.
“You're not wearing anything underneath…” he began in surprise.
“No, I'm not,” Kagome said with a little smirk. “I came prepared.” Then she sank down upon him, forcing a gasp from both their lips. The moon shown down on them as they learned the texture and the shape of each other, clumsy at first, but finally finding the ancient rhythm. Their cries and moans were the only sound in the hushed night until their shouts of bright ecstasy startled the night birds from their perches.
The lovers clung to each other in the tender aftermath as their breathing slowed.
“Kagome,” Inuyasha whispered. “Not that I'm complaining, but why now?”
“When you left the camp, I figured you were thinking about her. I want you to think about me.”
“Her?” he asked, puzzled. Then he lifted her chin with a clawed finger. “Kagome, when I came out here to… I was thinking about you. I think about you all the time.”
And her smile just before she kissed him was as bright as the moonlight.
