For a good hour Kagome walked through the town, but no sign off her 'koinu'. she was just about to start to go home when red and silver caught her eye. She slowly turned at the figure at the crosswalk, waiting for the light to turn.

 

She looked into his amber eyes as he looked back into her blue/gray ones. "K-Kagome?" "I-Inuyasha?"

 

Inuyasha's close were torn. He had no where to go. He had no family and no one would let a dirty 'threat to society' in their homes.

 

Inuyasha smiled at her with his breath taking grin he only saved for her on rare occasions. She knew it too. She bolted right for him. Just as she was about halfway there, so close to being in his arms again, a loud honking noise was heard. She froze as the brown semi barelled right for her. She was like a deer caught in the headlights of a car.

 

Right as the semi was about to crush her, a flash of red pushed her out of the way. She watched as brown collided with red.

 

Silence... that's all that was heard, except for the cracking of bones as the body was flown through the air, only to land at the next block. Before he hit the ground, he slammed into a concrete building, causing the thick red liquid to smother his face.

 

"In- In- I N U Y A S H A !"

 

:time skip:

 

Sirens were heard all over town as Kagome craddled Inuyasha's bloodstricken head in her lap while he breathed very raggedly. "Oh no! What will they do when they find out he's a hanyou!" Inuyasha started to cough up blood. "Inuyasha!...I have no choice. Letting him die is not an option.

 

The paramedics showed up and she got him in the ambulence as they bandaged him and took him to emergency at the hospital.
