CHAPTER 1

Kagome sat sitting under the ancient tree. She was in her own time, and she still couldn't believe this was the very spot were she freed Inuyasha from Kikyo's binding arrow. She was growing very distraught the more she looked at her hand. Her fingernails were beginning to harden and get longer very fast, but Kagome didn't know from what. Earlier that day, her mother had told her she wasn't her daughter. Kagome was found by her 'mother.' When she found her, she took her in.

Kagome was waiting on her 'mother' to come back with something. Her mom had told her she had one thing that told her anything of Kagome. But didn't know how to decipher it. Her mother now returned. She sat down beside Kagome. "Here." She said, handing Kagome a piece of old, torn, paper. On it was very funny looking writing, that no one could make out. It looked new, but the paper, looked old as dirt.

"I couldn't make it out when I found you by the well fifteen years ago. But I knew your name. It was on this." Kagome's mom gave her a gold charm. On each of the gold balls was an individual letter of her name. "I knew it was Kagome, because it hooks here, right between the 'K' and 'E.' And I knew you name wasn't Emogak." Kagome hadn't heard her 'mother,' she had been flabbergasted at the fact that she could read the strange writing.

"Mom, I know what this says. I can read it. It says:

'Take our baby as your own But do not treat her like A queen on the throne She will be a loving, caring 'daughter' That will fill your heart with laughter But do not be mistaken, she is of demon nature On her sixteenth birthday she shall turn into her demon form And this will forever be the norm The night before she turns sixteen, send her back to the feudal era Where she will one day find her true love who will Care and love for her forever."

Kagome thought for a moment. "Mom. That explains my fingernails getting harder and growing so fast. They're turning into claws!"

"Honey! Your eyes. They're turning into a amber color." Her mom had always believed in demons. Even more when she met Inuyasha. "Honey, quick! To the well. It's 9:30 P.M. The poem said the night before your sixteenth birthday. Tomorrow is your birthday."

"But how do you know my birthday?" Kagome asked.

"You were a newborn then. The doctor said you were only a few hours old." Said her 'mother.'

Kagome ran to the well, and quickly jumped in. When she landed in the feudal era, she bumped right into Inuyasha. "Kagome are you all right?" His voice echoed off the well's walls.

"Yeah, but what are you doing down here?"

"There's been a lot of blood shed at the village, and we think it's the cause of some no-account demon with a jewel shard. I was coming to get you." Inuyasha sniffed the air, "Your smells' different. It's spicier." He looked at her hands. The claws were finished growing. "And you have claws. Kagome what's going on?"

"Inuyasha what time is it?" Inuyasha looked up.

"By the look of the moon, and it's position, I'd say about midnight." Inuyasha looked up at the moon, wondering why Kagome wanted to know the time. Kagome had forgotten that in the feudal era, time was a little different than in her time. "C'mon, lets go." Inuyasha grabbed Kagome's arm and leaped to the top of the well.

Kagome yelled out in pain. The moon could now completely see her. She pushed away from Inuyasha, and fell to the ground. She pushed herself onto her knees. She grabbed her head, and let out a painful scream. In a flash, her black hair was changed into silver, her eyes amber. She grabbed her mouth. She felt sharp fangs growing in, Her ears became pointed (like Sesshomaru's). Lastly, she got a pink moon on her forehead, and blue strips on her cheeks, and hands (Like Sesshomaru's, only the colors were different)

Kagome looked up at Inuyasha. She smiled meekly. "Kagome. What the hell is going on?" He demanded.

Inuyasha and Kagome ran back to the village. Kagome won. She was way faster than Inuyasha. Kagome waited for Inuyasha at the entrance of the village.

"What took you?" Asked Kagome. Inuyasha growled. "Oh, I'm scared now." Not only had

Kagome turned into a demon, she'd gotten a little too arrogant. They met up with Sango, Miroku, and Shippou. "We took care of that demon ourselves. No thanks to you." Said Shippou, hanging onto Sango's shoulder. "Inuyasha, is that your girlfriend?" He asked pointing at Kagome. Inuyasha walked up to Shippou.

"Hey Shippou, come here. I got something to tell ya." Said Inuyasha Shippou leaned forward. Inuyasha acted like he was about to whisper something to Shippou. But instead he punched Shippou in the head three times.

"Shippou, what I was going to say was... NO WAY SHE'S MY GIRLFRIEND! THAT'S KAGOME!" He yelled right into Shippou's ear.

"OUCH! Inuyasha that hurts. Just wait till I tell Kagome." Said Shippou. "I all ready told you. That's Kagome, damn it!" Yelled Inuyasha.

"Prove it." Said Shippou.

"All right, I will." Said Kagome. "And here comes my favorite part." Inuyasha's ears flatted on his head. "There it is, that terrified look." Inuyasha sighed a sigh of relief. 'Maybe she won't sit me after all.' Thought Inuyasha.

"Inuyasha, SIT BOY!" THUMP!

"Damn you, Kagome."

"SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT." Inuyasha sunk deeper into the ground.

"When will Inuyasha learn." Said Sango

"Not to piss, Kagome off." Finished Miroku.
