I am what I am

NOTE: I do not own Inuyasha, damn that...oh, well on with the story. Authors note: My friends dared me to write a new chapter. So r&r.

CHAPTER 2

Kagome sat on a huge rock beside the river. It was hot day, and all the fish had retreated under the river bank where there was shade. Kagome couldn't hardly stand it, she had her silver hair pulled tightly back in a high ponytail. She had changed into a very short, red, sleeveless kimono.

Most of the village woman kept their distance. Because Kagome was a demon now, she had a very hot temper. Kagome had threatened to kill three men, five women, and God knows how many children. They had mad her mad in very insignificant ways, whether it was talking to her in a unpleasing tone, or not getting out of her way when she walked through the village.

"Damn it. There's nothing to do." Said Kagome to herself. She put her bare feet into the cold water. "Maybe I should go back to my time. That poem didn't say anything about that I couldn't go back. If I do, I sure as hell don't want to kill my `mom' or Sota (spell right?). Ugh, why do I always have to be in the middle of things?"

Kagome finally made up her mind to back to her time. Though she really didn't care, she had a big test today. She ran to the well. She'd be back, no use to go and get her backpack. And she didn't have the use of medicine now, she was demon. Her demon blood would heal her almost instantly. Kagome jumped into the well. She half expected not to go through to her time. So far the most of anything to go through was a half-demon--Inuyasha.

But non the less, she made it through. Kagome jumped to the top of the well, and landed perfectly on the ground. Kagome had really come to enjoy her demon speed. Last night, she got to the stew before Inuyasha, which really pissed him off. He had made a remark that she was acting just like his brother when they where kids: Always showing off that her was a full demon, and Inuyasha was a half-breed.

Of course, this pissed Kagome off, and it earned Inuyasha five loud `sits.' Kagome was at school before she could start a second thought. She landed in a tree. Kagome found that she loved to sit in trees. She could see everything, and for once in her life she felt like she was in control. But, Kagome couldn't sit around in trees all day. She had to get to class.

Kagome didn't bother to change into her school uniform, she was perfectly fine in her current attire. Especially being bare foot. Those stuffy school shoes of hers always made her feet hot, and sweat. Kagome jumped down from the tree she was in. As soon as she did, she earned many stares from the other students. "Who are you?" Asked Hojo, walking up to Kagome. "And what are you wearing?" Kagome growled. "For your information, Hojo, I am Kagome." Kagome stopped for a minute, then continued. "And I am wearing my clothes." "Ah, dammit. I ain't gonna go to school no more." Said Kagome. "What's the use? I'm not human no more. And there is the case on where I gotta figure out where that stuipid poem came from and why. I guess this was just a little vacation from the feudal era." Kagome sighed, and ran back to the well.

Sesshomaru was sitting in a nearby tree watching Rin chase Jaken hitting him with his staff that she had stolen. He was in wonder of what that new power presence he had sensed was last night. It was almost as powerful as he was. Almost. Sesshomaru jumped down from the tree. "Jaken. Watch over Rin. I need to go and clear something up." Rin came running towards Sesshomaru. She hugged him.

"Please, Sesshomaru. Let Rin come with you." Begged Rin. "Rin grows tiered of talking to Jaken all day. And you seldom speak to Rin." For once in his demon life, Sesshomaru smiled down at the child.

"Rin. If you promise to stay here with Jaken. I promise to spend more time with you." Said Sesshomaru. Though, he really didn't plan on keeping his promise.

"Yes my lord." Said Rin. Rin turned and ran towards the meadow, taking Jaken's staff on her way. In an instant Sesshomaru was gone.

Kagome jumped into the well. She was instantly transported back into the feudal era. She jumped up to the top, bumping into Sesshomaru.

He had decided to look there first. That was were the scent was strongest of the new demon. And this woman he had bumped into had the exact same scent.

"Watch where you're going you bastard." Said Kagome. Sesshomaru glared at Kagome. How dare she talk to him that way? Sesshomaru grabbed Kagome's left arm and pulled her off the ground. "Do not talk to this Sesshomaru that way." He said.

"What are you gonna do about it? I'll talk to any one I want, in anyway I please." Said Kagome, struggling to get free. She could tell he was powerful. He could kill her right then and there. And she wasn't strong enough to hold him off.
