This wasn't happening. She must be dreaming. Kagome watched as Inuyasha walked away from Kikyo to her. The silver-haired dog demon had left earlier that morning, following Kikyo's soul collectors to the dead priestess. Kagome woke shortly after and went in persuit of the man she had fallen head over heels for. A safe distance away from Inuyasha's keen sense of smell and hearing, she watched intently as the two conversed. She knew not what they were speaking as she was a great deal away from them but the look on their faces were not lost to her. Kikyo and Inuyasha were staring passionately into each other's eyes while Kikyo was speaking. Kagome knew she was protesting her love for her former lover and was probably reminding him that he promised to go to Hell with her. She could take no more. The raven-haired girl from the future came out of her hiding place as Inuyasha and Kikyo embraced. That was when Inuyasha spotted her and began to walk towards her. Kagome stood still, not knowing what to do. Surely Inuyasha would be furious with her for following him again. She was always ruining moments between him and Kikyo. But the look on Inuyasha's face spoke otherwise. There was no anger in his eyes or frustration. It was something she couldn't quite place. Off in the distance Kikyo was screaming something at the young hanyou but Kagome couldn't make out what she was saying and Inuyasha made no sign that he had heard the dead woman. This puzzled her greatly. Inuyasha stopped a couple of feet in front of her.
"Kagome."
"Inuyasha...?"
"Kagome?" The soft look never left his honey colored eyes.
"Yes?" Would he just yell at her already or ask what she was doing here spying on them again? She couldn't stand the suspense.
"Kagome...I..."
Inuyasha's words began to become more quiet and hushed, almost like they were fading away. Kikyo was no where to be seen and a light fog had cast itself over the clearing housing the Bone Eater's Well.
"Inuyasha...what...?" Kagome began to feel herself being pulled away. "Inuyasha!"
"I choose...."
Kagome jerked awake and reality came crashing down upon her.
"...YOU PIKACHU!"
In a split second Kagome hurled her pillow at the tv currently showing Pokemon. The young girl then flopped back down on the couch, sighing.
