Inuyasha didn't say anything, he looked at Kagura who was smirking with pleasure and was anxiously waiting for Inuyasha's response. Sesshomaru wanted to duck; he somehow thought that Inuyasha would grab the first thing in his desk and throw it to him for being such an idiot. After a long time of switching his eyes between Kagura and Sesshomaru he finally responded, he laughed. Just as much as Sesshomaru was amazed, Kagura was pissed as she heard his laughter surround the room. Inuyasha couldn't help it, he kept on going and might have been at edge of shedding some tears; it was too funny to consider it true. He finally stopped and continued chuckling some more as he started clapping and searching through the place. Sesshomaru arched his brow; maybe his brother might have been high before he found him.
“What are you doing?” Sesshomaru finally asked as Inuyasha kept on chuckling and clapping.
“I'm looking for the camera crew, I'm in punk'd right?” Inuyasha asked and Sesshomaru rubbed his temples before shaking his head.
“We were serious Inuyasha, I meant it.” His younger brother chuckled some more until he realized his brother wasn't even smiling, something that he didn't find different but he knew that he was serious.
“I'm out of here.” Inuyasha mumbled and walked out, Sesshomaru followed him behind while Kagura stayed in his office.
“Inuyasha, wait!” Sesshomaru yelled Inuyasha stopped and turned to look at him; his eyes were filled with deception.
“I leave you for 3 weeks and you are going to marry her again, you are the most stupid being in this planet, no let me say that again, you are the most stupid being in this universe!” His older brother grabbed him by the arm to stop him, Inuyasha tried to get free from his grasp but his brother was stronger.
“Will you listen to me? Please?” His voice became gentler by every word he let out. “I did this because when Rin left me I had no one to trust on and then Kagura was there for me so I decided…”
“To make the stupidest decision ever.” Inuyasha interrupted and pulled away his arm.
Inuyasha walked outside the restaurant, Sesshomaru followed him out of fear he might leave. He found him sitting at the edge of the sidewalk; Inuyasha grabbed a few rocks and started tossing them towards the street. Sesshomaru decided to sit next to him and do the same, for a few minutes they sat there in silence until Sesshomaru decided to explain it to him.
“I'm sorry about everything; I guess that there are just some things to which I can't give up on.” Sesshomaru took a deep breath as he heard his brother throwing the rocks harder. “You know how I feel for her and… I think that Rin…”
“You broke her heart with your stupidity, are you still wondering why she left?” Inuyasha said and Sesshomaru shook his head. “I'm your brother but I'm still bothered by the fact that you preferred evil's incarnation over Rin.”
“You have nothing to worry, after we blend restaurants you'll learn that…”
“Hold on, I'm half owner of this place and I don't to decide?” Inuyasha questioned as he stood up, Sesshomaru shook his head.
“I mean, of course but you have to know that…”
“What? Kagura is going to make it a better place with all her crappy food and lousy service?” Sesshomaru clenched his fists and rolled his eyes in annoyance.
“Would you please let me finish what…?”
“I'm sick of this; you can keep this restaurant for you and your fiancé…” Inuyasha interrupted him again; he shuddered when he said the last word. “You know something? I quit! You can keep the goddamned place!”
Sesshomaru got up and hopelessly watched his brother walk away from him, a part of him suggested that he should follow him but he knew that it would be better for Inuyasha to be mad at him. It was true, he had just lost hope in himself and became a dependant person; he depended so much on his brother that when he left he had no idea of what to do. `If only Inuyasha knew that I did something right, for the first time… for both of us.' Sesshomaru sighed and placed his hands inside his pockets before walking inside his restaurant.

Kagome arrived to her home; it was very early when she got off her plane and when she reached her apartment she noticed Kouga had already left. She felt nervous but she had come to a decision, it was something that she knew would make her happy and even though it hurt her to do that to him, she knew it was for the best. `I couldn't keep them waiting, Kouga wasn't stupid and he knew what was going on my mind. This is a big decision but I just that it's the right one…' Kagome thought as she unpacked her belongings, she quickly changed her clothes and grabbed her car keys. As she drove to work she thought about Inuyasha, `It's not fair to keep him waiting, he must know what I'm thinking… I promised him.' Kagome remembered as she walked inside the restaurant, she couldn't help to notice the changes the restaurant had gone through. The ruby red and orange walls had been replaced with a light blue color. The grills Sesshomaru had acquired recently were dismissed and now the plain normal tables were back. The tables used to have flowers and candles on them but now simple white table cloths were covering them, the dim light that used to enter through the curtains was now a very intense sunlight since the curtains were removed.
“What happened?” Kagome asked in a whisper, she heard the door open behind her and saw Sango. “What's going on in here?”
“Oh, right… you were on vacations, welcome back.” Sango said cheerfully, the girls walked inside the kitchen and changed to their aprons. “Well, in short Inuyasha quitted now that Kagura is in charge, Sesshomaru decided that a change wouldn't be bad and he's thinking about blending restaurant's with her now that the place is his… and Rin went away when she got her first gig.”
“Inuyasha… is not working here?” Kagome asked amazed, Sango nodded.
“It's a shame; he really was the greatest chef in this restaurant… too bad I never told him. I heard his doing some catering work. Sess doesn't mention him now that Inuyasha isn't talking to him I think they are in very bad terms.” Sango sighed heavily; Kagome couldn't get out of her shock. “By the way, we are working up till 2 am and we are also serving breakfast so we have to be here at 7 am… Kagura's idea.”
“This is impossible, how can she do all this without asking Sess for his opinion?” Kagome said dazzled, Sango shrugged her shoulders.
“I started avoiding that kind of questions when she warned me about getting fired… I got that one before from Sesshomaru but I know that Kagura does mean it.” Kagome heard the door open and saw Kagura walking inside with Miroku and Sesshomaru.
“Great news crew, we've been contracted by a tourism agency to serve food for their clients every day at noon… here are the things you have to prepare for them, please follow the instructions and don't screw it up. Let's go honey.” Kagura said before walking out with Sesshomaru.
“God, he really degraded himself this time… he's like her minion, a puppet!” Miroku said admired. “Hey Kagome, had a nice time? We sure didn't.”
“Yeah, thanks…” Kagome said, she was still waiting for Inuyasha to storm in and tell her that everything had been a cruel lie.
“We better get working, if she sees us talking she'll cut our balls off… well, only mine.” Kagome giggled a bit and Sango shook her head with a smile.
They read Kagura's papers; Sango was going to prepare desserts although there wasn't much to do when she was asked to make blueberry ice cream and vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and a cherry on top. Miroku got the main course, everyday he would have to prepare the same grilled chicken with potato salad and rice. Kagome got to prepare soups, she would make pea soup and if someone wanted something different to drink she would have the `pleasure' of preparing it. Morning was boring, not many people picked a restaurant to have their breakfast so the only real job they had was to cook for tourism agency Kagura had signed for. The night was a bit more fun; at least they got to cook different stuff that people chose to order. At night they were all very tired, Kagome finally went home and noticed the bedroom light was still on. She carefully walked inside it and found Kouga with his laptop, working, a smile enlightened his face when he saw Kagome.
“I missed you so much,” He said as he grabbed her in an enveloping hug, Kagome returned it as she smiled lightly.
“I'm sorry I left you, I should have given you an explanation.” She said before he pulled away and kissed her lips softly.
“You owe me nothing, as long as you are with me… everything's all right.” Kagome smiled sweetly and he kissed her again.
“I have to answer you; I have to keep my promise…” Kouga looked at him confused for a few seconds until her remembered what she was talking about. “I haven't changed my mind… have you?”
“I love you Kagome.” He answered.

“Don't forget to come in tomorrow early, thank you for everything.” Inuyasha said to his students.
Since he left Sesshomaru and their restaurant he thought he could change the environment so he worked till noon in a catering service place and during night he would teach cooking. Sesshomaru had moved out of his apartment and although he tried to visit Inuyasha, his brother wouldn't let him in or listen to him. Inuyasha missed his comfortable environment in his kitchen with his friendly coworkers and his non stupid brother managing the place. He missed the lovely sound of Rin's voice while he cooked, all those little details now seemed very important to him. But there was something that was eating him alive, something that bothered him and didn't let him sleep properly at night; that something was what Kagome had to say to him. He would have gone to her apartment but he was too embarrassed that he would find Kouga there and without a proper explanation; he had no idea of what to say. Inuyasha wanted to visit her at the restaurant but he didn't want to see Sesshomaru so he didn't want to step in the place. His only hope was to bump with her in the street.
Inuyasha's late work was near his apartment so he usually walked there, he noticed that there was a huge crowd of people surrounding a person. `A celebrity.' He thought before he kept on walking, he was still curious so he took a glance towards the multitude and noticed a very familiar face. There she was, Rin, signing autographs and being taken pictures by paparazzi; Inuyasha was able to see that she had sunglasses on, maybe trying to hide herself from her fans. He also noticed that two very bulk and strong men were next to her for protection. Inuyasha felt the need to say hi so he pushed himself inside the mob.
“Rin!” He yelled trying to get her attention; she looked around, trying to find whoever was calling her name.
“Could you sign this for me, please?” A girl said and Rin focused on writing her name.
“Hey, Rin…” Inuyasha said now that he was closer to her, he touched her arm and as soon as he reached her the two men beside her grabbed Inuyasha and tossed him to the ground. “Ouch.”
“Inuyasha?” She said before pulling up her glasses, he tried to speak but it was impossible for him when two men were crushing him. “Wait, I know him.”
“Thanks…” He said once they had helped him get up, Rin enveloped her arms around him.
“I'm so glad to see you! I thought I would never ever see you again!” She said cheerfully, people were still waiting for her to sign their photographs.
“So you're a star now, huh?” Rin blushed a little and he smiled. “Are you hungry? Maybe we can have something to eat?”
“Yeah, but only if we go to your apartment… my hand hurts already.” She giggled and they started walking to his apartment.
Once they were settled inside his place, Inuyasha prepared for her a sandwich. Rin had asked him to make her something simple since she wasn't that hungry. Inuyasha grabbed a beer for him and gave Rin a glass of water; she finished eating and quickly drank her glass of water.
“That was delicious.” Inuyasha smiled. “So, how's your restaurant now?”
“I don't know… I quitted.” Rin looked at him shocked; he drank some of his beer as he nodded.
“Why? I thought things were great in the place… I promised myself I would never ask this but I'm very curious. How's Sess?” Rin said almost in a whisper, he shrugged his shoulders.
“I don't know either, there was this whole drama thing… he chose his ex wife over me.” Rin frowned; he stared at her with worry. “Is something wrong?”
“I hate that woman.” She hissed, Inuyasha half smiled.
“So do I… she's…” Rin shook her head and he stopped.
“Do you know what she told me? She said that when I met Sess they were only working on their divorce so he lied to me and then that they have `worked' their differences… they dropped the divorce issue and now they are back together.” Inuyasha arched his brow.
“They really were divorced, that bitch convinced him to marry her again… Kagura brainwashed him. Did you break up with him after that?” She shook her head.
“Well, we barely were seeing each other and there was this night in which I was walking down the street and I saw him with her… that was the last straw, I haven't called him and I don't feel like returning his calls. And I wasn't able to see Sess either because one day I went to the restaurant to make my performance but Kagura fired me.”
“That's impossible, Sesshomaru told me he got a call from your manager… telling him that you were no longer going to work for him.” Rin said and he looked at her confused.
“Then who called my brother?” Rin shrugged her shoulders. “Whatever, I'm sorry about everything but I guess things had gone better for you than for me.”
“You could say that… I'm pursuing my dream although my parents don't like it.” She made a face and then smiled. “But at least they are happy that I'm happy… finally!”
Rin walked towards the window and noticed that paparazzi were still down there waiting for her. She sighed heavily and turned to look back at Inuyasha; he finished his beer and threw away the bottle.
“Do you know any other way out of here? I'm tired of having them as my shadow.” She said as she pointed down, Inuyasha smiled.
Inuyasha walked towards his bedroom and opened a window; Rin followed him and saw him getting out his window. Although she was scared she followed him and noticed emergency stairs. They got down and when they were finally on the floor again, Inuyasha helped Rin get off and helped her get a taxi.
“I'm glad I found you Inuyasha… can you do me a favor?” He nodded, she pulled out something from her pocket it was a card. “Call me as soon as all the madness is done. And… if you ever see Sess tell him that, that… I still love him, if that makes a difference.”
“I hope it does… I'll tell him.” Inuyasha kissed her forehead and Rin was on her way, he sighed heavily and heard his cell phone.
“Hello? A wedding rehearsal dinner? Sure, I'll be able to cover it… alright, don't worry. Goodnight.” He hung up and walked up to go inside his apartment again.
