UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE:
This is the 3rd chapter that I decided to edit to add some more drama and such into the life of Kagome. I hope you all like it!

(OH, and I also made a small error on my Flyleaf lyrics…gomen nasai!)

The car mentioned in this chapter (and the previous ones) is a Ferrari F430. If you wanna see what it looks like, highlight this link, copy & paste it into your navigation bar.

I will say…” Sango sang roughly, leaning into the microphone and bellowing YEEESS!”

The question asked in order—” Kagome clutched her own microphone in hand, leaning towards an imaginary audience. “—to save her life or take it…”

Sango came to stand next to her, her long onyx hair falling in her face.

“The answer no to avoid death…” and sang roughly with Kagome, listening to her friend breathe the words before she let out her scream of lyrics.

The answer yes would make it…” They paused, “Make it!”

Sango's voice echoed through the barn, practically sending shivers down Kagome's spine. She turned around to looked at Shippo, beating away passionately at the drums. Kagome couldn't help but admire him as a musician; he was amazing! She smiled and continued on, grasping her guitar as she neared the chorus.

Do you believe in God? Written on the bullet! Say yes to pull the trigger!” she sang higher, striking the chords on her Fender Strat.

Do you believe in God, written on the bullet?!”

The girl placed her foot upon the amp before her, zoning in on her music. Kagome loved performing. She might have been the shy, study-a-holic kind of girl at school, but here… she was a Goddess.

Miroku leaped in from the side, his purple and black Warlock with him. He was the lead guitar of the band, and the most astonishing guitarist Kagome had ever seen. He was just as sly with that guitar in his hands as he was without it. They've had several instances where Sango attacked him with her bass, right in the middle of a song. He NEVER could keep those hands to himself…

“And Cassie pulled the trigger…!” Sango screamed, slamming her fingers into the pink bass, launching into the air to do her own signature move. Kagome almost wanted to laugh but didn't. The girl sure was passionate. Shippo hammered into his solo, beating like the very heart of the band.

Kagome walked back to her microphone, pulling the stand close to her. “All heads are bowed in silence…to remember her last sentence! She answered him knowing what would happen!” she breathed in, grinning ear to ear. “Her last words still hanging in the air,” She paused dramatically, and then began whispering in her dark voice the last line before the repeat of the chorus.

“…in the air!”

Their music filled Kagome's head, spinning her around. She was captured, mesmerized. No matter how dark the song, it was so beautiful to her. She leaned in to Sango's mic, who was grinning as well. They were drunk off the spell they cast with their instruments.

They became new people on this stage, well, garage.

Miroku became like a God, especially when he was performing for an audience of young women. He tried even harder to look dark, menacing and sexy.

Sango just glowed; it was all natural for her. She looked like a foreign beauty. When she was performing, her dark clothes and makeup seemed to breathe the personality for her… and that scream! No one EVER would imagine it coming from such a small girl.

As they neared the bridge, Sango took a deep breath.

How many will die?!
Ohhh I-I, I will die!
I,I I-I will SAY YES!!

Kagome followed, adding in her vocals. She felt the pick snap between her fingers, and cursed mentally, letting it fall to the ground. She played well without one, flinching slightly at how raw they were beginning to feel.

When the song finally came to a finish, her fingers were numb from playing so hard. She glanced over at Sango, who played with no pick at all, and could only imagine how she felt.

As far as Kagome saw it, she was lead vocals and only rhythm guitar, Miroku and Sango were the ones with the real talent. Even Shippo had become quite the artist, taking 3 Drum Battle competition titles under his belt.

She had grown especially proud of him for that fact, `seems how he taught himself everything about the drums. He had been only working at the double Bass for about 4 months now. That was impressive.

“I'm hungry!” Kagome turned her attention to the kitsune, as well as Sango and Miroku did. He had his head resting lazily on the drums, tapping aimlessly away with his drumstick.

Kagome and Sango looked at each other and then rolled there eyes.

Sometimes it seemed like all the boy could think about was playing, his video games, eating, and sleeping. Kagome shrugged. “I guess I am too.”

“I definitely am dying for a cheeseburger…” Miroku mumbled, rubbing his belly.

“I'm a little hungry as well. Anyone up for some grub?” Sango asked, wiping the sweat from her brow, allowing her body to drop like dead weight on the long, worn couch next to her. Kagome smiled and pulled her guitar strap from her shoulder.

“Well, you guys got any ideas?” The dark haired girl asked before taking huge gulps from her water as she sat next to Sango.

Miroku plopped down as well, stretching his long arms high above his head.

“Anything sounds good.” He said, pulling off his black beater. He was sweating, and probably was stinking too. But by the look on Sango's face, which Kagome had noticed amusingly, she didn't really care.

Almost as if to catch herself, the girl blushed and turned her gaze away from his well-structured chest. Miroku noticed and grinned.

“Oh Sango, you do not have to blush. If you wish to caress me, you may at anytime!” he teased, giving her an innocent smile. Sango practically gagged.

“Oh shut up Miroku! You are so full of it!” she threw her water bottle at him, and gave a smirk when he cringed. “…you stink.” she muttered, pinching the bridge of her nose.

“Ugh, you two make me sick! Just admit you like each other!” mumbled Shippo, getting up from his place at the drums. He gave the lecherous monk a thud on the back of his head with his fist, and walked out the door. “I'm going to the ramen shop down the road. `Any one else coming?”

Kagome nodded, grabbing her book bag and car keys. Before she could open her mouth, Sango snatched the keys from her hand.

“I'll drive!” she announced, giving Miroku one last glare before she sprinted out to the car. The monk just sighed, picking himself off the couch.

“Oh, fine! Just leave me here!” he called, slightly panicking when he heard the roar of a car engine. Wait, Sango's driving?! Just as the thought crossed his mind, the vehicle speeded past him, pealing out of the driveway and leaving him behind.

He ran out side, just in time to watch them speed away. “…that woman…will be the death of me…” he whimpered aloud, bowing his head and walking towards the road.

`Maybe they'll come back for me…?'

Twenty minutes later Kagome, Sango and Shippo sat comfortably in their seats at the restaurant. The girls were chattering lightly, each taking sips from the drinks and then chewing on the occasional biscuit.

Shippo was scarfing down some hot ramen, but took a few glances out the window next to him to see if the monk was actually on his way.

“You think he'll make it?” Kagome asked, enjoying her cherry shake.

“Hmm… I bet he's almost passed out by now.” Sango mused casually, also sipping on her shake. She glanced momentarily out the window.

“Don't you guys think that was a little harsh?” Shippo asked, mouth stuffed with ramen noodles. The dark haired girls glowered at him.

“No!” they said in unison.

The red haired boy sweat-dropped in exasperation, deciding it was much safer to focus on his food. “I was just asking…” he murmured through noodles.

Kagome played with the straw from her drink, while Sango couldn't help but smile coyly at the idea of the Lech's situation. She joked, saying that he was probably trying to sleep his way into a pretty girl's car.

As the girls began to laugh, heavy breathing could be heard approaching behind them. Sango calmly turned to peer over her shoulder. `Yep, I was right.'

In walked a rather exhausted Miroku, feet lagging and sweat dripping down his torso as he clutched his black shirt. His hair was slightly tousled, and his face was red from the sun.

He saw Shippo and glared. “Right down the street?” he snapped at the kitsune.

Miroku then turned his attention to the girls. “Yeah that was REAL funny, ladies.”

“It was 20 minutes up the steepest hill I've ever climbed!!!” he practically shouted at them, only to be confronted by a plump old woman who began screaming at him to put on some clothing.

Sango and Kagome burst out in fits of giggles and then full out laughter.

He looked like a cornered puppy, trying desperately to pull the shirt on over his head with the fat old woman beaming at him the entire time. Even when he was dressed again, the woman was laying into him for “coming into her restaurant with out the proper clothing” and then something about, “screaming at her customers”.

Ah yes, today was a good day!

“Tisk, tisk Lech! You should know better than that!” Sango cooed when the woman walked away, anger practically radiating off of her. The girl smiled ear to ear as she shook her finger at him. “-coming into a dinner without a shirt on! You should be ashamed!”

Miroku only grumbled, sitting down hard next to Shippo. The kitsune did not bother acknowledging his presence. “I'm so unloved…” the monk whispered, in a sad/sarcastic manor.

Kagome gave him the best dramatic pouty face she could manage.

“Poor baby!” she insisted, “-here baby, do you want a sippie? Will that make the bad thing go away?” The girl teased, waving her shake in front of him like a child. The boy could only roll his eyes.

“SO anyway!” Sango turned to her friend, “Did you see that new guy!?”

The girl beside her looked a little startled. So Sango had seen him too? “Yeah...he's a real jerk” Kagome answered angrily, ignoring the slurping sounds coming from the boys across from her. Her full attention was now on Sango.

“Why, did you have a run in with him?”

“Yeah, literally… and he didn't help me pick up my books when we did! en called me a `wench.'” Sango scowled at Kagome's statement.

“…so I zapped him.” She finished, picking up another biscuit and nibbling at the side. The smirk returned to her face when she heard the last part.

“But you got to admit, he is pretty cute.” she pointed out, glancing at Shippo and Miroku. She gave them a warning look, letting them know that their sounds were annoying her. Kagome wrinkled her nose, but nodded anyways.

“You're right though, he is definitely an asshole. The teacher asked me to show him to the councilor's office.” The girl began to play with her straw casually.

“So how do YOU know he's a jerk?” Kagome asked, intrigued.

“Well, he had nothing but snide remarks to give me. I tried to be sweet…” the pause in her friend's voice said enough. Sango had flipped out on him. She was always open when it came to her opinion, and if some one was nasty, Kagome could not imagine her keeping quiet.

She laughed. “Sango! What did you do?”

Sango shrugged in return. “I told him to screw himself and find his own way around.” She kicked Miroku in the shin, stopping his slurping sounds.

“…and all he could do was call me a `stupid wench'.” She narrowed her eyes at the monk, who was rubbing his shin and mumbling something incoherent to her ears.

Turning her attention back to Kagome, her hand formed an irritated fist. “That stupid hanyou, he's lucky I didn't have my katana then! I would have shown him a thing or two!”

Shippo's ears perked up. “A hanyou?” he asked, relaxing back into his seat, content with his full belly. Kagome's eyes showed the same interest, and she urged Sango to tell her more. `So I was right…' she thought, a smug look on her face.

“Yeah, the teacher had said something about it. I guess his dad was some big bad dog demon. He owned all this land in the west.” She finished, with both her sentence and her milkshake. Kagome thought back to the previous day at school. What a shame he was such a baka, he was totally cute…especially those doggy ears!

A slight blush crept across her cheeks, she sounded just like that annoying girl from school who was screaming over him! Sango examined her friend closely. “What's with the blush?” she probed.

Kagome's eyes widened slight in shock and she quickly replaced it with a smile. “Oh nothing, just thinking!” she turned away to look at the boys, hoping to change the subject.

“You guys are such pigs.”

Miroku looked up suddenly, surprised he was being brought back into the conversation. At some point in time during the girl's chit chat, he had managed to order and receive his own bowl of ramen… and about fifty other things. Kagome stared blankly at him.

“I'm not paying for that.” She answered dryly, eyes falling on her friends to make her point. The monk only smiled innocently.

“I would never make a fine lady, such as yourself Kagome, pay for my meal!” he insisted. Sango crossed her arms over her breast, while Shippo almost choked on his soda.

“Oh sure, that's what you said last time!” snapped the Kitsune. “Then Kagome came up short trying to pay for you, and I HAD TO!” he hissed, flinging a crouton at Miroku with his fork. Kagome laughed hard when it hit him right between the eyes.

“Bulls-eye!” Shippo called.

After parting ways and exchanging hugs, Kagome and Shippo finally left the Ramen Shop. Sango and Miroku were going to walk back to Sango's house, were Miroku's stepfather would be waiting for the monk.

“Oh Sango, did you catch that guy's name?” Kagome had asked, turning to her friend before she left. Sango thought for a second, but her expression changed when the answer clicked in her mind.

“InuYasha Taisho.” She responded, smiling at her friend. Kagome nodded, and when Sango turned her back she tried the name out on her own tongue. Satisfied, Kagome drifting back to her vehicle.

It had to be around seven in the evening or so when Kagome and her adopted brother finally climbed into the jeep. She unlocked her door, and then reached over to open Shippo's for him. The boy yawned, plopped down in his seat and shut the door next to him. “Man, am I sleepy!” he said, rubbing his eyes.

Kagome smiled and nodded, a yawn escaping her lips as well; they were so damn contagious!

The girl stretched her arms out in front of her, sighed, and then fumbled with the keys in her pocket. She pulled them out, put them into the ignition.

Kagome turned around slightly in her seat, putting the car into reverse and backing out of the dinner. She straightened the wheel, shifting the car back into drive and pulling out to the stop light.

Yawning again, she turned her attention to her companion. “How was your first day? Oh, and buckle your seat belt.”

Shippo rolled his eyes at her and fastened himself into his seat. “It was school, nothing to cool, nothing to un-cool.” Kagome giggled and nudged him in the side.

“Come on, you and Souta didn't meet any cute girls?” she teased, turning back to pull out of the lot. The red haired boy rolled his eyes and folded his arms.

“Yeah, I saw a girl. In fact, I saw about 150 girls.” Shippo said sarcastically, giving Kagome a quirky grin. The girl only laughed as she checked the light, and made a right turn. She and the kitsune sat in a comfortable silence, Shippo playing with the radio every
now an again. It didn't really bother her much; they had almost the same taste in music.

The girl tapped her fingers along with the beat of the drums, thinking back on the day's practice. She loved playing with her friends in their band. They were amazing. Actually, they were getting sort of popular; a thought that still amazed her.

She couldn't hide her grin when the thought of people actually calling THEM to play gigs. Kagome felt a blush rise in her cheeks. What if she ever had to perform in front of her school, something other than choir concerts and talent shows? It would be bizarre…

Kagome made a left turn at the last street. Her thoughts began to wonder from the practice, to school. She recalled gym glass with Sango and Miroku, which had been rather interesting. Miroku just loved the little outfits the girls were forced to wear, especially on Sango…

Let's just say Wiffle-ball wasn't the best game to play that day…

“…K-Kagome!” Shippo's panicked voice drew her from her train of thought.

She blinked and refocused on the road, not that she had ever really taken her eyes off it it. She looked straight ahead, her eyes lifting to the back ends of the vehicles before her. She realized, there were none…but the was a car, she could make it out as a red sports car, speeding towards them.

“That guy is driving sort of wild!” Shippo said suddenly when the car got closer, pointing to the fire red car... Kagome focused on the vehicle in oncoming traffic.

“What a jerk! Just because he has the money for that car, doesn't mean he owns the road!” she hissed, leaning the car closer to the side of the road just in case. The idiot was making insane passing maneuvers in a obvious `no passing zone.

“Ugh, what a moron!” Kagome spat.

Her heart started to race the closer the car was getting. No one from around this area would dare to drive like that, not with these winding streets. And he was about to make it around a very, very dangerous curb… just about the same time she should would…

Kagome's hands tightened on the wheel as a bad feeling pooled into her stomach.. She looked quickly to the side to see if it was safe to pull off, but saw no hope there.

“Kagome…!” Shippo's knuckles were turning white, and his face was paling.

“I know Ship, stay calm!” she comforted, focusing on the road and the power bubbling in her stomach for the second time today. If she had to, she would protect Shippo.

Before she could summon the strength, the car came barreling around the corner sooner than what she expected. Kagome slammed on the breaks, and the wheel escaped her grasp. She felt a ping in her heart, and squeezed her eyes closed.

Shippo cried out, and Kagome instantly opened her eyes. A blur of red clouded her vision, and she reached her hand out to grasp her brother, so he wouldn't lunge forward. The jeep made a terrifying sound as the two cars collided, the metal screeching in rebellion to the crash. Kagome's head was thrust into the driver's side window, and she watched in slow motion as the crashed again, but this time into the guard rail.

Shippo! She thought, her mind screaming in terror. She instantly threw up a mental barrier, or at least, she hoped she did.

Her body instantly felt weightless and warm. Her eyes were heavy and hot, to heavy to keep open anymore. She knew Shippo was safe, her weak barrier managed to engulf the boy. It didn't matter that she couldn't protect herself, she protected him. That was all that matter…

The car came to a stop just as Kagome's eyes fluttered shut.

But they were forced back open again when she heard frantic screams.

“Kagome, wake up! KAGOME!” Shippo cried, shaking her. “The car is leaking gas!”

Kagome didn't know how she did it, or the process by which she did, but she tore away at her seat belt instantly and then Shippo's. She was wide awake, fatigue forgotten. She pulled the boy from his seat with all her might. He might be a demon, but he wasn't super man. He remained still in shock, screaming out her name.

“Kagome…we just…you're bl-bleeding…!”
She didn't respond to him. It was like the words were in her head, but her mouth wasn't working. She just wanted to get as far away from the car as she could. She wanted them to be safe. Her heart was thumping faster and faster in her chest, probably faster than that car had been driving.

Kagome practically dragged a delirious Shippo from the car. She couldn't even examine the situation, or herself. Her mind was spinning, and she was pretty sure she was going to through up soon. She just needed to get Shippo out of the road.

Then she saw the red Ferrari, even though she could barely make it out…and recognized it.

Her blood boiled beneath her skin. She quickened her steps to bring her adopted brother to the side of the road, and then removed her grip on his arm. Shippo collapsed on the ground, and crawled underneath a tree. He was wide-eyed and breathing hard.

“Shippo, I'll be right back…” Kagome muttered, not waiting for the boys response. She turned her attention back to the crushed sports car, and felt her feet move beneath her without her minds permission.

Kagome's vision was slowly fading, but she kept shaking it off. She wanted to hurt this person, and she never wanted to hurt anyone. But most of all, she wanted to make sure they were okay…even if they almost killed her.

When she reached the car, the boy inside was shaking his head, his hands still gripping the wheel. “How did I-I…” he stuttered, eyes blinking.

Without even realizing it, Kagome opened her mouth and began screaming at him. “What the HELL were you thinking driving like that?!” She flung her hands into the air. The silver haired boy turned to her. At first she could see an angry expression on his face, but when his eyes met hers, they softened slightly. Then, his eyes trailed upwards, and widened.

Was he staring at her?

“Get out of the car!” Kagome shouted with all her might as the anger gripped her body. She reached a hand out and tried pulling at his door. To hell with checking to see if he was okay, she could tell he barely had a mark on him.

The boy just gawked at her. “NOW ASSHOLE!” she hissed, eyeing him closely.

He began to move, pushing his door open with a seemingly furious fashion. Before his feet could even meet with the ground, she slapped him hard across the face.

“What the fuck, wench?!” he shouted, golden eyes glaring up at her. Wench? Her eyes widen in recognition and clarity danced across her eyes. The blurs and shadows faded back into a clear picture. She could now see people, pulling off to the side of the road and running towards them. She could see a man coming her way, his cell phone in hand.

Kagome turned quickly on her feet in the direction on the crash; a car had also hit them from behind? How could she have not noticed? A small Ford Focus was positioned directly behind Kagome's crushed jeep, its front end crumbled like a toy car.

It didn't take long before a dozen people were all around them, some on cell phones, some sifting through the wreckage. She spotted Shippo just wandering about like a lost puppy, but then a woman stopped him and was urging him to sit down and try and remain calm.

Kagome finally drew her attention back to the boy who had caused it all.

He only looked about 17, with long white hair and amber eyes. He was handsome, he was familiar…he was…

“You!” Kagome gasped out, images flashing before her eyes of their previous encounter. It was the same boy with the fancy-pants car and huge ego! He was the same one she ran into at school, and had been insulted by. `Wench…' she recalled; he had a bad habit of calling her and she supposed, all other women, `wench'.

The boy stood there, his eyes on her. “Sit down.” He commanded to her. Kagome's blood boiled at his words. HE was going to try and give HER orders, after what he had done?!

“You sit, boy!” she hissed at him, trying to sound as cocky as she could as well as trying to ignore the grogginess that was enveloping her.

“No…” he said, gripping her shoulder. “You're head is bleeding, you need to sit!” He insisted, something dancing in those golden eyes she couldn't read.

Kagome recoiled at his touch, pulling her shoulder away and lifting her hand to her temple. “I'm not—” she started, but her hand instantly froze as it met with a warm, stick liquid on her forehead. She raised her hand to her eyes…blood?

Kagome's stomach lurched, and darkness clouded her already fuzzy vision. She couldn't handle it anymore…

“SOME ONE GET HELP!” shouted a strong, commanding voice. Her eyes blinked away the dark, but only for a moment. She saw concerned eyes and something about, something…stuck with her.

And she welcomed back the black.

So on Microsoft word, this thing is 12 pages long. That's 4,437 words. WOW. Most SA's are only 1000 words. The last chapter was 6 pages. That's pretty decent.

Haha, so I'm just amused by these things.

I hope you liked my revision!
