Chapter 1

 

“Inu-yasha...” Says Kagome with a thankful look on her face.

“Yes Kagome?” replies Inu-yasha.

“Thank you for saving me. I . . . I don't know what happened I just . . .”

“Forget it I am just happy you are still alive . . .” says Inu-yasha hiding behind his bangs to hide the worried look on his face.

“Now you get some rest and let those wounds heal up. You are a human so it will take longer and we have to get moving again.”

“Yeah I guess so” replies Kagome.

 

(FLASHBACK)

 

“KAGOME SHOOT YOUR ARROW!”

“Alright” Kagome replies sounding very scared but standing bravely.

“NO LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!”

All of a sudden she feels a very horrible pain go right through her. She looks down and sees one of Naraku's tentacles had gone right through her and she was losing lots of blood.

 

(END OF FLASHBACK)

 

“AHHH” Kagome sits up very fast and feels a pain in her stomach.

Inu-Yasha notices and runs over to the other side of the room to help her.

“Kagome are you crazy you are going to make your wounds even worse!”

“Sorry I just had a dream about three days ago when it happened . . . I got scared.”

“That's okay. Just try and stay lying down, okay.”

“Yeah” replies Kagome painfully.

“But umm Inu-Yasha will you lye with me please?”

“Umm... yeah sure if you want me to.”

Inu-Yasha goes and lies down beside Kagome.

`Hmmm she already fell asleep, I guess that she was really tiered.'

 

The next morning Kagome wakes up to find Inu-Yasha still beside her with his arm around her waist.

`Well I know I shouldn't get up so I guess I will just lay here. It is nice, I feel so happy that he is here with me. He makes me feel better.'

Kagome puts her head back down and closes her eyes but does not go to sleep.

A while later InuYasha wakes up and finds that he had put his arm around her.

`Hmm I don't want to wake her up so I guess I will just stay here. I was so scared when she got hurt. I thought I was going to lose her! I could never forgive myself if that happened. I have to tell her how I feel about her before anything worse happens to one of us.'

 

All of a sudden the door swings open and in runs Shippo.

“KAGOME, KAGOME, KAGOME!”

InuYahsa catches him as he was about to jump on top of Kagome.

“You don't jump on her. She is wounded very badly and you don't want to hurt her any more then she already is. Do you?” says a very serious hanyou.

“No” replies Shippo in disappointment.

 

“Oh, hey Shippo.”

“Kagome you are awake!” Shippo says excitedly.

“Yeah I am awake.”

“How are you feeling? Are your wounds getting better?”

“Yes, I am feeling better but I won't be able to do anything for a while.”

“Oh . . . okay. I hope you get better!”

“Okay, Okay. You have seen her. Now Shippo, time to leave and let her get more rest.”

“Awww!” Whines Shippo sadly.

“Fine I will leave” Shippo walks outside.

 

Why did you kick Shippo out? He could have stayed. I don't mind and I just had a lot of rest.”

“Umm Kagome, I have something to talk to you about.”

“Okay what is it InuYasha?”

Then all of a sudden the door swings open for a second time and two more people walk in and interrupt.

 

“Ohhh Kagome Shippo told us you were awake and we came to see you. How are you feeling?”

InuYasha annoyed because of the interruption.

“She is fine she is trying to rest now leave!”

“No, no. It's okay InuYasha let them stay for a couple of minutes.”

“Come and sit down Songo and Miroku.”

“Okay.” (Songo)

“Okay.” (Miroku)

“How are you feeling?” asks Songo.

“I am getting better. Still a lot of pain though.”

“Yeah I guess you won't be up for a while.”

“No probably not. Which will suck.”

“Well we will leave you two now. See you later” says Songo.

“We will come by to see you again later today” says Miroku.

“Okay thanks for coming in guys!”

 

Once they were gone. . .

“So InuYash what did you want to tell me about?”

“Ohh umm I . . . I was just going to say that I am glad that you are okay. I don't know what I would have done if I let anything happen to you.”

InuYasha bends down and kisses Kagome on the cheek.

“I am going to go and get some food. I will be back in a couple minutes, okay. You stay right here and don't move.”

 

`InuYahsa cares so much about me. . . I love him so much. I just . . . I don't know. Maybe one day we will be together.
