"NO WAY KAGOME YOU CAN NOT GO TO YOUR ERA FOR 2 WEEKS!" Inuyasha yelled.

"AND WHY NOT INUYASHA?!" Kagome yelled back.

"Because we need to find jewel shards! Duh." Inuyasha retorted back at Kagome.

"So what am I to you?! Just a jewel detector? Is that all?!" she yelled back

"Of course you are." Inuyasha said grumpily.

"Really Inuyasha is that all I am to you?" Kagome said on the verge of tears. "Am I really only a jewel detector for you?" by now the tears were coming out of her eyes even though she was trying to hold them in with all her might.

`I thought that he at least thought of me as a friend.' Kagome thought sadly.

"You know what, since I'm nothing more then a jewel detector for you, go and get Kikyo. She will probably do a lot better then I would do" she said walking away sadly.

"But Kagome…wait…I need…" Inuyasha couldn't finish his sentence because Kagome was already down the well and in her time.

He then saw them. Her jewel shard that they worked so hard for, were on the lip of the well.

He didn't know what to do. He lost her, his Kagome. HIS Kagome, the one he truly loved. Not Kikyo. Why did she have to bring him up and just leave with out an explanation?

Inuyasha went and picked up the jewel shard. It was then that he realized that he really did not care for Kikyo. She was dead the Kikyo he knew is now dead, now she is just a pile of walking dirt, clay and sticks.

Then all the flash backs came to Inuyasha and he saw all the good times him and Kagome had together.

They were walking together to the village when Kagome said how much she really cared for him. "Inuyasha you know that I really do care for you right." She suddenly said.

He smiled. "Kagome look I care for you too, but I owe Kikyo my life and you know that. She took her life because of me." Inuyasha said slowly as if talking to a child.

Kagome sighed. "I know, I know. But I don't want you to get hurt…or sucked into hell. I want you to be happy. I love you so much that I am willing to let you go just so that you can be happy. I always love it when I see you laugh, and smile." She finished up teary.

Inuyasha sighed. `I knew this would end up happing, but I can't just leave Kikyo like that. I need to pay her back with my life.' He thought sadly.

Inuyasha saw the tears escaping her eyes and brushed them away with his thumbs. "Kagome I'm sorry really I am but you know I have to do this. I don't want to ever see you cry over me anymore ok. I want to see you happy for the rest of the time we have together. Do you understand?" he asked.

Kagome nodded. She knew it was what he wanted in all but she couldn't help but cry at the thought of losing her first love.

Inuyasha bent down and kissed on the cheek and smiled. "Don't worry I will always be there to protect you. I won't leave you until the end of this mission."

She smiled and then they continued walking to the village and Kagome was smiling the whole way there.

"She broke the promise." Was all Inuyasha was able to say before Miroku tapped him and the shoulder and asked "What promise?"

Miroku then saw Inuyasha was holding something and saw Kagome shards of the Shikon-no-Tama. "Inuyasha?! What happened?! Why are her shards here?!" Miroku yelled hurting Inuyasha's ears.

"We got into a fight and she left them here." That was all he was able to say before jumping into the well and going to bring Kagome back to his time and tell her how he really felt about her.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~AT KAGOME'S TIME~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"Mom, it's not fare! He promised me. He-he said that he wouldn't hurt me anymore. But he lied to me!" Kagome said in a crying/yelling type of voice.

"I know dear, but give him time, give him time." Mrs. Higurashi said smiling down at her daughter.

It was then they heard a knock at the window. Mrs. Higurashi smiled and got up to open the window. Inuyasha was about to knock again but fell into the room instead because of the open window.

"Well, I taking it you came to drop by?" Mrs. Higurashi said and smiled.

"Uh…yeah. Can I talk to Kagome alone for a little while?" Inuyasha questioned her.

"Of course you can. As long as you don't do anything wrong then I will allow you to." She couldn't help but chuckle as a blush formed on his cheeks from what she just said. "Don't worry Inuyasha, I know you would never hurt her or do anything that bad to her. I trust you." She whispered to him.

"Thanks Mrs. Higurashi." Inuyasha said and bowed. (A bit OOC? I know.)

Mrs. Higurashi left the room and Inuyasha went up to Kagome's bed. He lightly tapped her on the shoulder and she rolled over. "What do you want Inuyasha?" she asked coldly. "Look I'm sorry Kagome. I just realized that you are the one I care for most. I don't care about Kikyo. I want to be with you for the rest of my life, I just realized about how selfish I was being only thinking about what I had to do for Kikyo and never thought what you needed most, which was me." Inuyasha told her with love shinning in his eyes.

Kagome looked up and saw his eyes, the ones you could get lost in when you stare into them. All she saw was love. And it was all for her. She smiled `Mama was right, he did come back for me.' She thought as more tears came into her eyes.

"Kagome, what's wrong?! Are you ok?" Inuyasha asked worriedly.

"Of course I am. I am just so happy that you finally admitted you love me." She said hugging him.

He smiled. "Hey, Kagome, I wanted to give these back to you." He said as he handed her the shards. She smiled and took them. "Thank you Inuyasha. I love you so much." She smiled and kissed him.

He smiled and kissed her back fully with passion and love now shinning in his eyes.

Mrs. Higurashi was watching those too from outside the door and saw them kissing. She smiled softly and walked down the stairs waiting for them to come down and start talking about there wedding.

The last thought that she thought was `My little girl is growing up.' Before Sota came running in through the back door with Jii-chan both wanting food.

Hey guys how'd ya like that? I hope ya like it a lot `cause that took me half an hour to write! Lol. Ok now you guys review and I will write maybe another one-shot story…or maybe I will get 2 chapters out for Kagome…A demon?!. If any of you have any good ideas for any good one-shot stories tell me kk? I'll give ya full credit for the idea and everything. So yea instead of reading this little A/N I'll see ya all around…
