It had been a full year since Sesshomaru and Inuyasha had told each other that they loved each other, and things had been going smoothly. Inuyasha’s relationship with Kagome had bettered,
and Sesshomaru wasn’t having such a hard time with Rin. Everything was going smoothly, until Inuyasha’s human night. A demon attacked, and with lots of help from Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Kirara, and Shipoo. The demon ran away. Inuyasha on the other hand, was so close to death, he might as well knocked on the door of it.
News had passed that Inuyasha was wounded around the west, and that’s how Sesshomaru found out and was on his way to go cure his brother from his wounds and kill the basterd that caused them if he wasn’t already dead,
“Lord Sesshomaru, Rin thinks you will cure master Inuyasha.” Said a confident Rin,
“What makes you think that’s why I’m going to my brother?” Asked Sesshomaru, knowing Rin wasn’t that stupid,
“Rin thinks that, because... Rin knows it.” Said Rin with no fear.
Sesshomaru nodded his head while kept staring straight ahead.
Hours had passed and still Inuyasha couldn’t fall asleep, he knew someone was coming, he just didn’t know who. Inuyasha sighed, it was very frustrating, to wounded in so many places and knowing you could do nothing about it. Inuyasha looked at Kagome and smiled, when the whole Naraku shit was over, he planned to ask Kagome to be his. He looked at Shipoo, and knew he would become a stepson, if he already wasn’t. He then looked at Sango and Miroku and smiled, they would stay his best friends till the day he died, even when they died before him. He then looked at the jewel, and knew that if Kagome gave him the jewel, he would wish for the war waging inside to vanish, along with the jewel itself. Inuyasha knew he still had along way to go, to putting Kikyou to rest, to figuring out how to get Kagome stay with him here. Even when the well closed from the jewel being gone. But who knows? Maybe the well wouldn’t close. Maybe Kikyou would have her peace sooner then later. Inuyasha sleepily closed his eyes and was finally rewarded sleep.
Sesshomaru gave a last glance at Rin who was sleeping on Ah Un, and then focused on the problem at hand. His anger with someone trying to hurt Inuyasha. He knew that he had been hurt like this before, and he got angry every time some one did. He just never shown it. Hell, he even got angry at himself for it! But this was the last time! Everyone would now be warned, if you harmed a hair on his head. He himself would rip the persons nuts off, and make them eat it! Sesshomaru slowly breathed in and out to calm himself, when he seen that he was approaching the village that Inuyasha stayed at, he, Sesshomaru couldn’t really understand why Inuyasha hung around them. Sesshomaru detested them. To him, Rin was his pup, not a human.
Slowly Sesshomaru walked to where he smelled where Inuyasha was at, then walking inside, he saw his brother, with bandages everywhere on him, and his brows furrowed. Sesshomaru walked over to Inuyasha and keeled down and touched his forehead,
“ I think it’s a sibling thing, because I do the same thing.” Said Kagome while looking Sesshomaru straight in the eyes,
“What are you talking about?” Asked Sesshomaru a bit confused,
“When my brother gets hurt, there would be hell to pay. Because, the only one that can hurt him, is me, myself. No one is allowed to bring him harm. That’s my job. Nobody else’s.” Said Kagome, while looking softly at Inuyasha,
“You are right.” Said Sesshomaru a bit taken back,
“He will be alright. The only thing you need to do is the brotherly thing. Go kill the one that caused this.” Said Kagome, knowing he was going to without her saying it,
“I know. So I plan to go right now. Look after Rin and them.” Said Sesshomaru while getting up and started leaving,
“Lord Sesshomaru, Inuyasha has waited forever for you to tell him you loved him. Thanks for finally telling.” Said Kagome, then got up and brought Rin in and tied Ah Un up. Sesshomaru left in search. About a day later, Sesshomaru found the basterd, and killed him, but before he did, he said in a cold voice,
“I’m the only one.”
