They were all sitting and relaxing in Kaedes hut, well all were but Sango, because, as usual Miroku’s hormones were up and running. He slowly made his way towards the tense Demon Huntress, he reached out, then @SLAP@ “Lecher!!” So he crawled back to his corner and sulked.
Kagome sat against the wall trying to study her Geometry (I Think that is what she takes since I take it and she is 15 in the show as I am.) , but she just could not concentrate. ‘Why is it that I, had to fall in love with Inuyasha? Of all people, Inuyasha, the one who only sees me as a shard detector?…’

‘God! That lecher, will he ever learn?’ Inuyasha thought ‘He will never get a girl’
*Yeah! But he has gotten farther than you* A little voice in his head commented
*No! Inuyasha got farther, but when he actually got a girl she betrayed him……* a second voice started but was interrupted by the first.
*That was Naraku!*
*Oh yes well, * the second voice started again *that is true, but when Kikyo got resurrected she not only stole some of Kagome’s soul, she tried to pull you into hell, and on numerous times tried to hurt or worse even murder Kagome!*
Inuyasha was scared, there were two voices arguing in his head.
*Yeah* the Second voice started to get angry *But he loves Kagome*

Well the Inuyasha gang was on the road again looking for some more jewel shards.
‘Its hopeless to think that he could ever love me, but I just cant help love him, I want him to be happy, oh what I wouldn’t give just to be in his arms’ (who doesn’t want to be there. Hehe ) she looked up at Inuyasha, he looked like he was in deep thought.
“Inuyasha?…”

*But Kagome is sweet, Innocent, loving, caring, and not to mention beautiful* the voice Inuyasha officially named “Schizo” stated (I know Schizophrenia was not known then but for the sake of my story’s humor just pretend it is)
Inuyasha thought he was going nuts, so he decided just to play along with it. Then the one named “phrenia” (Put together I am pretty sure that Schizophrenia is the mental illness when you have multiple personalities, I may be wrong but I am pretty sure since my dad is a Emergency Room Doctor) Spoke up *But….Um….oh Damn! Your right, Kikyo is nothing compared to Kagome. Kikyo is well, um , putting it nicely, Dead, Cruel, Cold hearted, and smells like death and dirt*
Now Inuyasha realized what was going on, these two voices were helping him decide who he loved. ‘Thank the Gods I’m not going nuts!’ he joyously thought ‘ Alright my mind is made up. I have now realized that my heart belongs to….’
“Inuyasha?…” Kagome called
“Uh, Yeah?” He answered
“Are you alright?”
Yeah. I am fine, just thinking”
“We should stop and make camp for the night” Miroku advised
“Feh Fine”
“Inuyasha, what were you thinking about?” Kagome asked curiously
“Um nothing” he lied
“Well ok then, I am tired. Goodnight Inuyasha.” and with that Kagome picked up Shippo and made her way towards he sleeping bag, “Goodnight everyone”
Later on when Inuyasha was sure everyone was asleep he tiptoed over to Kagome, shook her shoulder and said, “Hey, Kagome, Wake up”
“Huh,” She woke up “Inuyasha? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing, come with me, We need to talk”
“Oh, ok” she got up and followed him.

Inuyasha led her to a small clearing near to the camp,
‘Ok Inuyasha you can do this’
“Um Kagome, I um need to tell you something,”
‘Oh no, he is going to send me home and get Kikyo to help find the shards’ she thought
“Kagome, um I, I, uh, I, I” ‘STUPID STOP STUTTERING AND JUST SAY IT!!!’ his mind screamed
“I love you”
That caught Kagome totally off guard
‘OH MY GOD! Is this a dream? It has to be. He said he loves me!!!!!’
Inuyasha then noticed that Kagome was crying “Huh? Kagome?” did he say something wrong? “Don’t cry.” he tried to comfort her
“Inuyasha,” She answered “ I am crying because I am just so happy. I love you too!!!”

And with that he pulled her into a big hug. “Kagome you do not know how long I have waited to hold you” Inuyasha whispered in her ears.
She just relaxed against him ‘this has to be a dream’ she was just melting in his arms.
“Ha,” she said “You don’t know how long I waited either.”

Then he pulled away and chuckled “bet you cant guess how long I have waited to do this?” he then pulled her into a kiss, a very passionate kiss and when they had to separate for air she said “from how good that was I’d guess a long time”
He chuckled “let’s go you need your sleep.”
Later on that night, when everyone was fast asleep, well Inuyasha was in a light sleep, ever alert, a shadowed figure, who had cloaked his scent and had seen the hanyou (Half Demon) confess his love to the weak little miko (Priestess), snuck up silently to the camp. As he was standing right in the center of the camp, he still went unnoticed ‘Fools, I am right here in the center of their camp, I could slaughter them all in less than 10 seconds and yet they sleep!’ the figure thought.
However, he was not there to slaughter them, he was there to get Inuyasha’s one weakness and use it as a ransom. He slowly walked over to the young Miko and bent over her. When she opened her eyes and realized who it was that was standing over her she tried to cry out but he covered her mouth and nose with his hand, making her pass out from lack of air. As soon as she fell limp, the figure picked her up and left.

When Kagome woke up it took her a few seconds to remember what had happened.
‘Oh No what happened to Inuyasha? Is he hurt? Is he…..? No he has to be alive. Oh Inuyasha, please be ok. I’m so scared.’
She was sitting against a wall tied up. She was in a cold dark room…then it hit her…she felt his presence.
“Sesshoumaru!! Show yourself! Where is Inuyasha!?! And what are you planning to do with me!?!" She heard a light chuckle from the corner "My don't we have guts. well if you must know, I am using you as a ransom to get Inuyasha's sword" he simply stated 'She is too gutsy, and if she decides to use her miko powers, then I may have a little problem, she has incredible strength I can sense it. I must break her spirit.'

“But I have recently found out that,” Sesshoumaru continued “this is all a waste of time since reports have been made that he has gone back to the dead bitch, oh, I mean miko”
‘No, he, No he didn’t, he’s coming’ she started to cry
“So, he must not love you” he said seeing the doubt in her eyes.
“NO! HE DOES LOVE ME!! AND HE WILL COME!!! She screamed ‘I know he will, I trust him just as he trusts me!’
“SANGO!! MIROKU!!!” Inuyasha yelled “GET UP!!”
“What is it” Sango asked
“Yes I too want to know why you woke us up” Miroku added
“Kagome is gone and I can barely smell his scent, but it is there, he must have covered it”
“Who’s scent?” Shippo asked just as he was waking up
“Sesshoumaru‘s!!” Inuyasha yelled as ran towards the west.

As Inuyasha sped towards Sesshoumaru’s castle all he could think was ‘If that bastard touches a hair on her head I swear I will torture him until he begs me to kill him’
“Inuyasha Slow Down!” Sango yelled from atop of Kirara, Miroku and Shippo were also there
“Hey! Dorkface, Slow Down!” Shippo yelled
“Why did Kagome have to teach you that word? It is really irritating.” Sango commented
When they finally caught up to Inuyasha, they saw the look on his face and they then knew not to interfere, so when they got to the front gate, they all decided to wait there while Inuyasha went inside.
‘He has to come, I trust him, he will. He loves me’ Kagome was now crying her heart out.
Just then the door slammed open and standing in the doorway was an enraged Inuyasha. But when he saw Kagome he softened, then he saw Sesshoumaru in the corner and he got pissed again.
“Sesshoumaru! What did you do to her?!” he demanded
“Nothing, she just thinks that you don’t love her and gave up on her, with a little persuasion from me that is.” He said coolly
“NO! I was crying because for one in a way I fell just a little bit sorry for you since you are just as good as dead, and that is because Inuyasha is stronger and better than you, not to mention more caring, and he at least changes his facial expression! And secondly because these ropes are really hurting my wrists and ankles. And the last reason was that I wanted Inuyasha to come here faster so he could see your expression when I tell you off. .. You piece of Shit, Ass hole, Bastard. You’ve got guts for kidnapping me and telling me that Inuyasha went with Kikyo!”
Inuyasha looked dumbfounded ‘Did she just cuss?’, and Sesshoumaru looked pissed.
Inuyasha then rushed over to Kagome and untied her as he untied the ropes he said “Kagome, run out to the gate, everyone is there waiting for you. Now go I am going to kill this jerk once and for all!”
“But…” she tried to argue
“No Buts! GO!!” He demanded

cause You've brought me too far.~}
“No! I promised to stand by you! And I will!!” she yelled
“NO LEAVE NOW!!” he demanded
She started to leave then turned to see that Inuyasha was watching her, his back to the wall and Sesshoumaru across from him. She was just off to the side but Inuyasha was not paying attention to his opponent.
As he was watching, he got angry when he saw that she had stopped and looked at him. Then the unthinkable happened, it felt like it was all happening in slow motion, but it happened so fast he could not do anything about it.

Kagome’s Point of View
Kagome then looked to Sesshoumaru and saw that he was getting his whip (that yellow thing) ready to strike Inuyasha, so she immediately looked at Inuyasha, only to see that he was looking at her and about to yell at her, he was oblivious to the fact that Sesshoumaru was about to attack him. So she did the one thing that her instincts and heart told her to do…..
As Kagome ran to Inuyasha she yelled “Inuyasha!! Watch out!!” then she pushed him out of the way just as Sesshoumaru brought the whip down fast and hard.
Inuyasha just stood there in shock realizing what just happen. Kagome just took the blow for him!
He was brought out of his shock when he heard Sesshoumaru laughing, “What a fool. Humans are such pathetic creatures. But don’t worry little brother you will soon join your mate.”
“SESSHOUMARU!! you bastard! You will pay for hurting Kagome!! She did not deserve it!!”
“huh, little brother, the moment you told her you loved her and took her as your mate you put all your wrong doings on her, so in other words if you deserve it, well then she does. Fool.” Sesshoumaru stated as if Inuyasha should know that “and all of your enemies are now hers too. So if by some miracle you two survive, here is some brotherly advice, you better protect her, and that is the only advice I will ever give you so file that away in that tiny brain of yours.”
Inuyasha even through all the anger and hatred he had slightly blushed “She is not my mate!!” he yelled “Yet” he whispered to himself
“Ohhh, so that must mean that you would not care if I killed her?” he said jokingly. But Inuyasha did not see the humor.
“Sesshoumaru!! Die!!” and with that he took out the Tetsaiga (sp?) and was about to use the wind scar when Sesshoumaru suddenly left.
“Where did that ass go?”

Sesshoumaru’s point of view
‘I could feel his anger! If he had used that sword I would have been a goner!’ he thought ‘no matter. Ill get him next time’ he smirked

Inuyasha ran over to Kagome, Knelt down and held her in his arms. Sango ran in with Kirara then Miroku followed with Shippo on his shoulder.
They all stared at Inuyasha, wide eyed at what they saw.
However, he did not care, as he held Kagome’s bloody motionless body close to him, he cried not caring what the others thought or said.
“Kagome, oh please Kagome, wake up, oh God, I need you. Kagome if you die, I don’t know what…. Oh just wake up. Please!” he cried “Kagome, don’t die, not after I actually had the guts to…to…oh please wake up! I love you! I told you that, now please wake up. You should have listened, I told you to run, but instead you…you…” he cried harder as he held her tighter.
Everyone else stood there tears falling down their faces for their fallen friend. Sango shaking silently while a river of tears fell for her best friend no she was her sister. Shippo was hysterical crying and screaming, in his eyes he lost his mother…again. Miroku tried to hold his back and he succeeded but still a tear escaped.

As he held her close he felt her move, he looked down at her, she started to open her eyes “Inu..Inuyasha? Is that you?” she tried to get up but then “AHHH!!!” the pain got to her “Oww! She cried “it hurts…I know…you hate it…when I cry…but it hurts!!” she cried more
Everyone stood and smiled, yet they were worried. They were happy she was alive but she was very badly injured, and Kagome never cried this much from pain.
“Kagome,” Inuyasha said “Oh Kagome, I thought you…you.. Were dead!” he held her close still trying not to hurt her. “I thought I was going to lose you.”
“Inuyasha I wont die that easily, especially since I still want another kiss.” she smirked
He leaned over and kissed her “How’s that?” he asked “Much better” she answered with a content smile.

Inuyasha gently picked her up and started towards Kaedes hut. “Mmm, you are so warm.” she murmured snuggling into him.
Later…
“Inuyasha, are we almost there? I really want to bandage this up, it really hurts” she whimpered. Hearing her that way hit a nerve for Inuyasha, “Kagome, please don’t ever do that again. Ok?”
“Inuyasha I did not think, and it was an instinct, that instinct told me to protect my loved one, Inuyasha you are my loved one, you baka (Idiot)”

“ But Kagome if..if something ever happened to you, I …I couldn’t go in.”
{~ohhh yes I do~}
“Inuyasha, I am here so don’t die on me ok?” she whimpered in pain

“Alright” he leaned over and kissed her

Miroku walked a ways behind Inuyasha and Kagome with Shippo on his shoulder and Sango at his side.
“Will she be ok?” Shippo asked
“Yes she will be fine, Inuyasha would never let her die if he had anything to say about it, and besides Kaede is a great healer.” Miroku assured the Kitsune (demon/ Fox Child/ Demon Thing/ Shippo) then Sango added “And if I know my best friend she would not give up right when life was finally going her way.”
Shippo smiled
“So, are they going to be makes and get married and have kids and adopt me then I can have brothers and sisters and we can all be one big happy family for ever and ever?” Shippo was now exited
‘Does that kid need to breath?’ Sango thought
“Who knows Shippo, Who knows” Miroku Answered
Then Miroku and Sango looked at each other and chuckled at how excited Shippo was about Kagome and Inuyasha being together.

I was crying because for one in a way I fell just a little bit sorry for you since you are just as good as dead, and that is because Inuyasha is stronger and better than you, not to mention more caring, and he at least changes his facial expression! And secondly because these ropes are really hurting my wrists and ankles. And the last reason was that I wanted Inuyasha to come here faster so he could see your expression when I tell you off. .. You piece of Shit, Ass hole, Bastard. You’ve got guts for kidnapping me and telling me that Inuyasha went with Kikyo!”
Inuyasha looked dumbfounded ‘Did she just cuss?’, and Sesshoumaru looked pissed.
Inuyasha then rushed over to Kagome and untied her as he untied the ropes he said “Kagome, run out to the gate, everyone is there waiting for you. Now go I am going to kill this jerk once and for all!”
“But…” she tried to argue
“No Buts! GO!!” He demanded
{~And I can't turn back now.
cause You've brought me too far.~}
“No! I promised to stand by you! And I will!!” she yelled
“NO LEAVE NOW!!” he demanded
She started to leave then turned to see that Inuyasha was watching her, his back to the wall and Sesshoumaru across from him. She was just off to the side but Inuyasha was not paying attention to his opponent.
As he was watching, he got angry when he saw that she had stopped and looked at him. Then the unthinkable happened, it felt like it was all happening in slow motion, but it happened so fast he could not do anything about it.

Kagome’s Point of View
Kagome then looked to Sesshoumaru and saw that he was getting his whip (that yellow thing) ready to strike Inuyasha, so she immediately looked at Inuyasha, only to see that he was looking at her and about to yell at her, he was oblivious to the fact that Sesshoumaru was about to attack him. So she did the one thing that her instincts and heart told her to do…..
As Kagome ran to Inuyasha she yelled “Inuyasha!! Watch out!!” then she pushed him out of the way just as Sesshoumaru brought the whip down fast and hard.
Inuyasha just stood there in shock realizing what just happen. Kagome just took the blow for him!
He was brought out of his shock when he heard Sesshoumaru laughing, “What a fool. Humans are such pathetic creatures. But don’t worry little brother you will soon join your mate.”
“SESSHOUMARU!! you bastard! You will pay for hurting Kagome!! She did not deserve it!!”
“huh, little brother, the moment you told her you loved her and took her as your mate you put all your wrong doings on her, so in other words if you deserve it, well then she does. Fool.” Sesshoumaru stated as if Inuyasha should know that “and all of your enemies are now hers too. So if by some miracle you two survive, here is some brotherly advice, you better protect her, and that is the only advice I will ever give you so file that away in that tiny brain of yours.”
Inuyasha even through all the anger and hatred he had slightly blushed “She is not my mate!!” he yelled “Yet” he whispered to himself
“Ohhh, so that must mean that you would not care if I killed her?” he said jokingly. But Inuyasha did not see the humor.
“Sesshoumaru!! Die!!” and with that he took out the Tetsaiga (sp?) and was about to use the wind scar when Sesshoumaru suddenly left.
“Where did that ass go?”

Sesshoumaru’s point of view
‘I could feel his anger! If he had used that sword I would have been a goner!’ he thought ‘no matter. Ill get him next time’ he smirked

Inuyasha ran over to Kagome, Knelt down and held her in his arms. Sango ran in with Kirara then Miroku followed with Shippo on his shoulder.
They all stared at Inuyasha, wide eyed at what they saw.
However, he did not care, as he held Kagome’s bloody motionless body close to him, he cried not caring what the others thought or said.
“Kagome, oh please Kagome, wake up, oh God, I need you. Kagome if you die, I don’t know what…. Oh just wake up. Please!” he cried “Kagome, don’t die, not after I actually had the guts to…to…oh please wake up! I love you! I told you that, now please wake up. You should have listened, I told you to run, but instead you…you…” he cried harder as he held her tighter.
Everyone else stood there tears falling down their faces for their fallen friend. Sango shaking silently while a river of tears fell for her best friend no she was her sister. Shippo was hysterical crying and screaming, in his eyes he lost his mother…again. Miroku tried to hold his back and he succeeded but still a tear escaped.

As he held her close he felt her move, he looked down at her, she started to open her eyes “Inu..Inuyasha? Is that you?” she tried to get up but then “AHHH!!!” the pain got to her “Oww! She cried “it hurts…I know…you hate it…when I cry…but it hurts!!” she cried more
Everyone stood and smiled, yet they were worried. They were happy she was alive but she was very badly injured, and Kagome never cried this much from pain.
“Kagome,” Inuyasha said “Oh Kagome, I thought you…you.. Were dead!” he held her close still trying not to hurt her. “I thought I was going to lose you.”
“Inuyasha I wont die that easily, especially since I still want another kiss.” she smirked
He leaned over and kissed her “How’s that?” he asked “Much better” she answered with a content smile.

Inuyasha gently picked her up and started towards Kaedes hut. “Mmm, you are so warm.” she murmured snuggling into him.
Later…
“Inuyasha, are we almost there? I really want to bandage this up, it really hurts” she whimpered. Hearing her that way hit a nerve for Inuyasha, “Kagome, please don’t ever do that again. Ok?”
“Inuyasha I did not think, and it was an instinct, that instinct told me to protect my loved one, Inuyasha you are my loved one, you baka (Idiot)”
{~I need you.~}
“ But Kagome if..if something ever happened to you, I …I couldn’t go in.”
{~ohhh yes I do~}
“Inuyasha, I am here so don’t die on me ok?” she whimpered in pain
{~I need you.~}
“Alright” he leaned over and kissed her

Miroku walked a ways behind Inuyasha and Kagome with Shippo on his shoulder and Sango at his side.
“Will she be ok?” Shippo asked
“Yes she will be fine, Inuyasha would never let her die if he had anything to say about it, and besides Kaede is a great healer.” Miroku assured the Kitsune (demon/ Fox Child/ Demon Thing/ Shippo) then Sango added “And if I know my best friend she would not give up right when life was finally going her way.”
Shippo smiled
“So, are they going to be makes and get married and have kids and adopt me then I can have brothers and sisters and we can all be one big happy family for ever and ever?” Shippo was now exited
‘Does that kid need to breath?’ Sango thought
“Who knows Shippo, Who knows” Miroku Answered
Then Miroku and Sango looked at each other and chuckled at how excited Shippo was about Kagome and Inuyasha being together.
