InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ I want to be with you ❯ 7 ( Chapter 7 )
Here comes the next part...
The rage Sesshoumaru felt when he awoke from his deep slumber and realized that Sango was no longer with him, was blood curling to say the least. He made a chilling roar into the dark skies before finding his clothes. He dressed quickly and cursed a certain female for being so disobedient. His head throbbed with pain and he knew she must have used some kind of sleeping poison on him. "But where did she get hold of such a thing?" he wondered and took off into the night sky. But then again, she was a demon slayer; she had many tricks up her slayer suit. Probably she had a secret pocked or pouch where she could hid smaller things. "Fuck, she is in no condition to travel. I must find her." He sniffed the air constantly but cursed the fact that he must had have slept longer than he thought from the beginning, because he could not detect her minty scent anywhere. "But if she is on the run, where would a little feisty taijya hide from a lusty demon? She would run to the first place she would feel safe, in this case it should be the village where my brother hangs around." Sesshoumaru snickered and moved to travel south.

Sango reached Kaede's village early in the morning. Everyone was still asleep when she arrived and she knocked silently on the small hut that belonged to the one-eyed miko. A sleepy grunt could be heard from inside and she took it as a sign that she could come in.
Kaede was a bit surprised to see Sango alone, but the pale and sweaty face of the taijya made the old miko forget about everything and began to crush some herbs in a jar. She had been injured and to travel with injuries was never a good thing.
- Kaede-sama, do you have some clothes I could borrow until I can make my own? asked Sango and removed the boomerang from her shoulder.
- Of course child, but first we need to take care of what ever is ailing you, said Kaede.
- Not here, I want to stay at the temple and I want you to put up demon wards so no demon can get inside, breathed Sango.
- As you wish my child. Come, let's hurry up then. I want to tend to your… Kaede saw the blood drop onto her wooden floor and she gasped a bit. That was no small wound. Four gashes could be seen on Sango's right side, just under her ribcage. Three of them had closed up and was almost healed, but the fourth was still bleeding heavily.
- I explain later, said Sango and went outside and up the stairs to the temple.
Kaede grabbed her herbs and jars and a miko garment and followed Sango to the temple. "My child, what kind of healing have you been doing? Three gashes were almost healed, but not the fourth, why..?" She shook her grey head and watched Sango take up place in one of the smaller rooms in the shrine. She removed her slayer suit and lay down on the floor. Kaede was at her side immediately and she washed the wound with some water before adding the herbs. She then wrapped up her body with some bandages and lay her down again. When it was done Sango fell asleep and Kaede frowned. This was not good at all. But she had promised to put up ward around the temple and she began with the room, better to do this properly.
The whole room was covered in spells to ward of demons and she continued to do the same with the shrine. But the old miko could not help to wonder what kind of demon made a demon slayer so afraid… No, that was not the right word.. Kaede sighed as she put the last ofuda-letter on the temple door and began descending down the stairs.
But before she could enter her hut she was almost knocked down by a white lightning ball. From the white light appeared a very furious youkai lord. No other then Lord Sesshoumaru. Kaede bowed to show him the proper respect and she got a clue to Sango's strange behaviour.
- Where is she? asked Sesshoumaru with a eerie voice.
- Who? asked Kaede.
- Don't lie to me old hag, I can smell her blood all over your place here!
- Sango-sama is up in the temple, she is asleep and is not to be disturb, said Kaede with fearless voice.
- Is she badly hurt?
Kaede raised a confused eyebrow. This was Sesshoumaru; he hated humans, why would he care about the taijya?
- Yes, but she will heal, said Kaede truthfully.
- I must see her; I am the only one who could heal her, said Sesshoumaru.
- You can't get inside; she had me put up wards against demons. I did not know then why she asked me, but I think I do now. I believe she don't want to see you. I am sorry Sesshoumaru-sama.
- Do you really think that a puny human spell can hinder this Sesshoumaru? he snarled and took a giant leap up to the shrine.
Kaede was sure he would not get in; she had not been a miko for so long without learning a trick or two about demons and what kind of spells to use to keep them at bay.
Sesshoumaru looked over the temple, it was located on a very peaceful place. He sniffed the air and snarled when he smelled her blood. "Fuck Sango, you need to be a little more careful with your self." He thought and marched towards the temple entrance. But as soon as he reached it, he was forcefully knocked back. He made a vicious growl and tried again but with the same result. He decided to look for backdoors into the temple but all three he could find had the same impact on him. "The old hag know some powerful spells." He thought, unaware of his compliment to the one-eyed miko. "But there is one place I bet she has not thought of placing any spells." He jumped up onto the roof and used all his extraordinary senses to locate the room where his mate lay in deep sleep. He soon found it and bashed in the roof with his fist and jumped into the opening. There in the dusky room lay Sango. His heart clenched when he saw her pale and sweaty face. She was ill, very ill. He rushed to her side and removed the herbal bandages and saw with horror the infected wound. He began lapping at it like he had done before, but this time the taste was foul due to the infection and he spit out every drop of blood he got into his mouth. He would endure because this was the only way to get her healthy again. When he was satisfied with his work he lay down at her side, spooning her back against his body. He cradled her and nuzzling his face into her hair. His fluffy boa tucked around them for warmth.
- Koibito, when are you going to learn that you can not hide from me? he whispered into her ear.
Sango stirred around but did not wake up. Sesshoumaru smiled when he saw her bury her face into his furry "tail".
- When you wake up I am going to teach you to whom you belong from now on my love, he said.
He looked around the room and saw her slayer suit lay next to a pile of white and red garments. He had to stay awake; he did not want to be the object of deceit again. She was not going to use the drug on him once more; he had to see to that. He was glad, he had found her and she was still alive. When he had found traces of blood and infection in her scent trail he had gone from a raging demon to a wild creature. His mate was hurt and he was not at her side to take care of her. His demon blood boiled inside his veins with horror and pain. He just had to find her in order to heal her. And now he lay at her side, his healing saliva doing a good work on her infected wound. Yes, now he could calm down and rest, without sleep of course.
