A small hanyou tip toed through the castle halls. She was the first one up in the castle, as always. The servants were still resting and so were the youkai that owned the castle. She pushed open the door that led to the room that the prince of the castle was in. She saw a lump in the bed that went up and down slowly. She silently walked to the bed and stared at the angelic face of the prince. She smiled and ran her index finger down his nose a couple of times.
The prince's nose twitched as she kept on with her tickling torture. The prince finally sneezed and opened his eyes. The hanyou climbed onto the bed and cuddle next to him. The prince sat up and rubbed his eyes. He opened his mouth to say something but a small clawed finger that was placed on his lips stopped him.
"Maru-chan, you shall wake everyone if you speak." She whispered. "You have the loudest voice in this whole castle aside from your father."
The boy's eyes narrowed at her before he pushed her off the bed and went under the covers. He heard a whimper and sighed. He pushed the blankets off of his head and stared at the extremely close, teary eyed hanyou. He sighed again. The face his best friend gave always got him.
"Fine, get in." He growled, lifting the covers. The hanyou jumped up on the bed and cuddle up to him again. She grabbed his tail and hugged it tight while he petted her head then burying his face in mass of black hair and a pair of black ears. They stayed like that till the boy felt a pair of strong hands tickle his side.
He twitched and turned to see his father smiled down at them as he tickled his son who was starting to laugh uncontrollably. The black haired hanyou giggled at the sight till the older silver haired inu growled playfully and made a grab for her. She yelped, hopped off the bed and ran around the bed in circles with the two inu chasing her. The oldest in the room grabbed her and tickled her merciless. The prince laughed his head off on the floor and watched his father tickle his friend through tears of laughter.
"Inutaisho, let the girl breathe," said a melodic voice.
Inutaisho looked at his mate. Her disheveled silver blue hair rested on her shoulder and her yukata was wrapped tightly around her. Her violet blue eyes held tiredness in them from their long night of love making,-which was unknown to the children. He smiled at her then cradled the panting hanyou. She snuggled into his bare chest and gripped a strand of his hair.
The boy pouted. He got jealous of his friend when his father would hold her. Inutaisho looked down at his son and picked him up. He held the two of them and walked out the room to the Lord and Lady's chamber. The four of them sat on the bed and hugged each other.
"Mira," Whined the little hanyou.
"Yes Kagome?" Mira wondered what made her adopted daughter whine.
"Maru-chan pushed me off the bed and made me land on my head." She said trying to hide the smirk that wanted to be on her face.
Sesshomaru glared at the girl before him. He lifted his claws to tickle the girl but was soon dangling in the air for his father was holding his tail.
"Pray tell, what were you going to do Sesshomaru?" Inutaisho asked smirking.
Um…" He couldn't say much since Mira and Kagome tackled his father. All four of them laughed before a neko youkai entered and bowed.
"Breakfast is served my Lord." She said.
Inutaisho nodded for her to leave and picked up his loving family. As he walked out his chamber, Kagome sat on his head while Sesshomaru sat on his shoulder and Mira was in his arms. After eating, the two pups ran off.
Kagome ran to a tree and hid in it as Sesshomaru searched for her. Her giggling gave away her hiding spot. He growled, tackled her to the ground and they rolled around laughing. They spotted his parents at the edge of the lake. They listened to Inutaisho's purring as his mate scratched his pointed ears.
Sesshomaru eyes switched from his father to Kagome's twitching black ears. He lifted his claw and rubbed her ear. He smiled when he heard her purr along with his father. Mira watched as her son made his friend purr and giggled. She shivered when she felt Inutaisho's claw slow run up and down her bare arm.
Sesshomaru stopped rubbing her ear and watched as his mother shivered. "What is it Maru-chan?" She asked him smelling his curiosity.
He glanced at his parents then his friend before smiling at her, the smile scared Kagome sometimes. When he smiled at her like that it either meant you'd better run or he had a plan in his devious mind that included her. She smiled back at him then ran towards his parents. He chased her down the steep hill towards his parents. He spotted a small rock and purposely lost his footing. He crashed into Kagome and together they tumbled down the hill together.
Mira watched as the pups rolled down the hill and looked down at Inutaisho's peaceful face. She smirked and scooted away from him a bit. She watched as the pups crashed into him and into the lake. She couldn't help but burst out laughing as the three of them came out of the water drenched. The pups had attached themselves to the taiyoukai's legs shivering.
Mira rolled around laughing harder as Inutaisho had difficulty prying the two of them off of his legs. He placed them by his mate shook his twin tails dry. Sesshomaru latched himself to his mother's tail hoping it would give him warmth. She petted his soaked tail and looked at Kagome who was curled up into a ball…with a pink glow surrounding her. Mira closed her eyes remembering what was going to take place when the sun sets. Inutaisho sensed the sadness radiating off of his mate and watched as Kagome uncurled herself, completely dry.
Mira looked up at him with pleading eyes he turned his eyes away from her telling her that what was going to happen had to be done. She sighed and picked up the pups and hugged them tight.
^~^
"Sesshomaru!!" Called Kagome. Her raven colored hair whipped around as she looked for her friend. The black wolf ears atop her head twitched for a sound that the wind could carry. She turned around only to be pounced by a silver blur.
Sesshomaru growled playfully tickling the raven haired hanyou mercilessly. "Say you're sorry Kaggie-chan." He said grinning.
The small hanyou choked out, "Never!" between her laughs.
"Then you leave me no choice." He said mischievously.
Before he could do anything else, he felt someone tickling his sides. Sesshomaru fell off of his friend as his mother tickled him. She grabbed the children, who were giggling madly, and hugged them tight.
"Okaasan!" Whined Sesshomaru.
"What is it Maru-chan? Can't I hug my son and his adorable friend?" She asked kissing the top of their heads.
"No" Sesshomaru said as Kagome said "Yes" cheerfully.
Sesshomaru growled when Kagome took his tail and clutched it tightly. She buried her face in it and watched as he crossed his arms over his chest and pout. Mira chuckled then let them go. Sesshomaru grabbed one of her ears and rubbed it.
Kagome blinked before closing her eyes, purring, and leaning into the touch. Sesshomaru's arms and tail encircled the small girl as she continued to purr. Sesshomaru lied down with Kagome still in his arms. He was exhausted from playing since morning. It wasn't long before they fell asleep.
Mira stared at the two of them and felt two strong arms wrap around her waist. She couldn't believe there were going to be separated. After having ten years of friendship, she couldn't imagine what pain they would go through.
Today was there last day playing with each other, though both of them were not aware that it was. Mira remembered the day they welcomed Kagome with open arms. She was their friend's daughter who died not long after the day when both Kagome was born and his mate died.
Just Recently, Inutaisho and Mira noticed her miko powers were kicking in. If she stayed with them any longer, there was a big chance that they would all be purified. She had to sent away…far away.
"Inutaisho," Mira whispered to her mate. "Are you sure taking her to a miko village is necessary?"
"Yes…but he youkai blood must be hidden. I'm sure one of the mikos there would glad to hide it." He said placing his head on her shoulders.
"It's going to break Sesshomaru's heart." She said.
"I know, but it is for the best." He said.
Mira sighed and walked to the sleeping friends. She gently pulled Kagome out of Sesshomaru's embrace. Inutaisho took the half wolf demon out of his mate's arms and stood on his light purple cloud. He brushed the bangs from her forehead and placed a small kiss on it. He always thought of her as the daughter he would never have, and now, he could no longer speak to her, afraid that if he did she would remember him and most likely follow him home, she had a way of being extremely sneaky.
Mira watched as they flew away in the dimly lit sky. She looked at her son who was curled up in a ball from the loss of warmth. "Gomen ne Sesshomaru…" she whispered as she picked him up. Sesshomaru cuddled to his mother and whimpered.
Mira walked into the castle and up the stairs to Sesshomaru's chamber. She wondered what her pup was dreaming about for he had a smile plastered upon his face. When he whispered Kagome, she thought of the possible things he would do after he found out she was never coming back. She thought he would run away in search for her then be killed or broken by the infamous group of tiger bandits. She shook her head to rid the thought from her mind as she entered his room. She placed him under the sheets of his bed then sat on the window seat to stare at the glowing stars.
A few memories, of when she and Kagome spent time together when Sesshomaru and Inutaisho would go hunting or when they sparred, rushed through her mind as her chin rested on her palm.
