Inuyasha was staring into the dawn sky, thinking. (*gasps* it's the Apocalypse!) 'How can I just sit here in peace! Naraku is out there planing to kill us and the others are sleeping!' Looks down at the sleeping Kagome.

-People call me immature

-They never see the real me

-You are always there by my side

-Giving me the support I need

'How can she stand to be around me? All I do is badmouth her.' He frowns. 'She deserves better than a life out here.'

-You are there

-How can I say all my thanks?

-Just for being there for me

-After all those tiring days

-And I was here

*Flashback* Inuyasha shows Kagome the alarm clock. "Is that what you're sorry for?" Kagome asks. "What else do I have to be sorry for?" Inuyasha asks rudely.

-Sometimes I just felt bad

-You did so much for me

-You were kind

-You were sweet

-You were you

*Flashback* Kagome goes to Inuyasha. "Are you ok?" she asks concerned.

-How can I say all my thanks?

-Just for being there for me

-After all those tiring days

-And I was here

-I was here and you were there

-Almost in two different worlds

-And you helped me through

*End flashbacks* Inuyasha smiles slightly. 'She has been there for me through this whole time. She is a great friend. Maybe more…'

-I tried all I had to pay you back

-I wish I could know...

Kagome's eyes flutter open as she awakes. She sits up, stretches, and gets out of her sleeping bag.

-How can I say all my thanks?

Inuyasha watches her get breakfast ready and wake everyone up. He smiles as he sees the hyper fox run around her while she is cooking. He hears her laugh and is mesmerized. She turns to him and he wipes off his smile. "You coming down to eat Inuyasha?" she asks. "Yea bitch I'm coming." 'The starts of a brand new day'

-You were there but always by my side

-And I was here.
