Inuyasha had gone to find Kagome in her era, he was surprised to find her family crying. Her mother came and handed him a small unopened letter that was addressed solely to him, opening it he found two poems and a letter describing what happened and with each heart breaking word that he read he felt his heart shatter like the shikon jewel.

Happiness is lies laced with deceit

Love is a word with no meaning

Sadness is filled with tears and death

Anger filled with betrayal

Friendship is nothing but hurt

Death all truth in things

Life all fake full of nothing

Pain is pleasure

Misery is nothing but truth

What if I died? Would you even care?

What if I cried? Would you be there to hold me?

If you lost yourself to the darkness could I stop you?

If you left with her would I try?

What if I told you the truth? Would you accept it?

What if I said I loved you? Would you feel the same?

If I left you alone would you come for me?

Why wont you see what lies in front of you?

Why can't you hold me and comfort me as I do you?

Why do I feel this way about you?

Is it because I love you?

Is it because you're my friend?

I hate the fact I have these feelings about you

To my dearest for all that its worth I am sorry

To my lover I am sorry for the pain I caused

To my friend I am sorry that I didn't let you go

To my hanyou I am sorry that I ever loved you

To myself I am glad that I did love, I am glad that I met you I am sorry that I was selfish to not see the love you held for her and now I free you from me I free you to be happy with her.
