InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ If This Is What He Wants ❯ If I Kill Her ( Chapter 1 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Hey, here's my first InuYasha Fic! Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. I'm fairly new to InuYasha, so I may get some details wrong. This takes place earlier in the series. Enjoy!

The priestess Kikyo sat down in the grass. It was a windy night, and her hair blew around in the night-time wind. She was deep in thought, thinking about the girl, Kagome, and what she meant to Inuyasha. She didn't really like her "Reincarnation" , Kagome had become to close to Inuyasha for Kikyo's comfort. Not like it mattered to Kikyo though, Inuyasha had betrayed her, had he not? Even if it was Naraku, as the girl, Kagome had claimed, Kikyo was not really "alive", so could she really love Inuyasha like she once had? "I'm not dead, and yet, I'm not really alive either. So, am I truely free, free to hate, and free to love" she thought, "If I could stop Kagome from coming to this time, get her out of the way somehow. Maybe even kill her. But if she dies, what will happen to me?"
"I'm just going back for a little while, 4 days at max! " Kagome called out.
"4 days!" Inuyasha called back, he hated when Kagome left for her own time.
"Just let her go Inuyasha, these 'math tests' are obviously pretty important to her, though I don't see why she doesn't just 'flunk' them." Miroku said.
"Are these 'math exams' really more important then collecting the shards of the Shikon Jewel that you broke!"
"Oh come on Inuyasha, you know I feel bad about breaking the jewel, or else I wouldn't be coming here!" Kagome said, "Or would I?" . She tried to get that thought out of her head, but she couldn't. "Am I really coming, ,skipping school and everything, just because I feel bad about breaking the Shikon No Tama? Or is there something else too?"
Inuyasha made a noncomittal grunting noise. "Fine, go! but you better be back soon, or else I'm coming to get you!"
"Thanks a lot! Bye!", Kagome called as she jumped into the well.
"I still don't get what's with these 'math tests' of hers." Inuyasha muttered. "Let's go back to the village and wait for her to get back, 'kay?" . Everyone agreed, and they began walking back towards the village, where Lady Kaede welcomed them.
"Did Kagome go back to her own time for a little while?", Kaede asked, while making them all something to eat.
"Yeah, she had a 'math test' that she had to do," Sango answered, "They're obviously really important to her".
"Well, it will only be for a little while," Kaede said, directing her sentence at the silently pouting Inuyasha.
"That's what she always says," Inuyasha replied.
"Well, your soup's ready, so let's all sit down and eat while we wait for her." Everyone ate in silence. Inuyasha thought about how long it would be before Kagome got back. Shippo thought about what Kagome's time was like. Miroku wondered if there were lots of pretty ladies in Kagome's time. Songo thought about Kohaku, her brother. Kaede was thinking about Kagome, and how alike she was to Kikyo when it came to looks, that is. They both had very different personalities, and yet, Inuyasha seemed to like them both. "But who does he like more?".
"Are you done staring at me, ya old hag!?" Inuyasha asked.
"Hmm...Oh yes, I was just thinking about something, that is all." Kaede hadn't realized that she had began to stare at the half-demon. "Why don't we all get some sleep? We have definitley earned some." Everyone agreed, and Kaede led them to their 'beds'. After everyone else had fallen asleep, Kaede decided that it was time to get some rest herself, but try as she might, she couldn't get to sleep. "I have a bad feeling about something." She got out of bed to check on everyone, but couldn't find anything wrong. "Hmm... might as well go back to bed then." She was about to get back to her bed, when she saw a silhoute in the doorway. "Kikyo?!?!"
