AN: I'm back! I do apologize for my long absence, now here is the long awaited Chapter 25.

Pairings: sess/kag, kou/aya, mir/san, inu/shiori, ship/rin, souten/ginta, kilara/hak, and more...

Flashback:

The next morning, Kagome was woken up by a big bang sound from down stairs.

Welcome Home…

Quickly bolting out of her bed, Kagome pulled on a pair of shorts and ran down stairs to investigate. There standing in the front door entrance was Inuyasha, who had decided to carry the entire luggage in the house, and dropped it unceremoniously causing the big thud that had occurred.

The others came up behind Kagome, not a minute after Kagome had arrived. Before Kagome could question what was going on, Shiori had run down the stairs and leapt into Inuyasha's arms.

Kagome, Ayame, and Sesshoumaru's mother, Akina, made their way down the stairs to stand in front of Inuyasha.

“Inuyasha dear, what are you doing here? You all are not supposed to be back until tomorrow night.” Akina questioned.

Pulling his face from Shiori's neck, but still holding her tightly to himself, he said, “change of plans; Kagome you need to go outside.”

Kagome's eyebrows pulled together in a confused manner, she glanced to her left at Ayame, who just shrugged. Kagome walked out the front door with Ayame at her side. Kagome immediately smelt Sesshoumaru, however, the sight she was held with was held with was her father-in-law and Kouga standing in front of either passenger door.

Kouga's eyes immediately were connected to Ayame's, Kagome noticed as she made her way to Kouga's side of the car, Ayame walking at her side.

“Kouga, where is Sesshoumaru?” Kagome asked.

“In the car, still strapped down, his eyes were still too red to be around others. So, for safety purposes, we decided to head back early. Kagome, you're the one who is going to have to let him out; it was hard enough strapping him in.” Kouga explained.

Kouga stepped away from the passenger door and towards Ayame, pulling her into his arms. The minute he reached Ayame, the car shook violently. Kagome opened the passenger door, and stepped into the SUV.

Kouga quickly closed the door behind her. Sitting in the middle seat, with large safety belts crossing and buckling him in, sat Sesshoumaru. Sesshoumaru sat with blood red eyes, snarling.

“Sesshoumaru?” Kagome asked to see if he would respond.

Sesshoumaru immediately snapped his head in her direction. The minute he caught sight of her, he began to jerk around, trying to get at her, causing the car to shake again.

Kagome was trying to maintain her balance as the car shook, but that was not possible. She ended up landing across Sesshoumaru's lap, causing Sesshoumaru to stop his jerking around. Kagome noticing he stopped his jerking around, sat up, now straddling his lap.

Kagome cupped Sesshoumaru's face, looking into his red eyes; Kagome asked “Sesshoumaru, can you calm down?”

Sesshoumaru growled out “Kagome…” and with that the blood drained from his eyes with the smell of his mate overwhelming his senses.

“Kagome, unstrap me.” Sesshoumaru said, looking at his bindings in the car. “I don't wish to destroy the car, just to be able to hold my mate.”

Kagome giggled, “How sweet of you to want to spare the poor car.” Kagome unstrapped the demon strength bindings holding her mate.

As soon as the binding were removed, Sesshoumaru's arms were around Kagome pulling her closer. Accepting the hug, deeply missing her mate, even if it was for such a small period of time. Kagome then realized how the two were situated in the car, with Kagome straddling Sesshoumaru.

Pulling back, Kagome asked, “Ready to go inside now that you're unstrapped?”

Gripping onto Kagome's hips to keep her in place, Sesshoumaru captured Kagome's lips in a searing kiss. As Kagome was about to fully respond to her inviting mate, there was a knock on the car door, causing Sesshoumaru to growl at the interruption.

“Master Sesshoumaru, pardon the interruption, we ask that you and Mrs. Kagome enter the house at once.” The security officer stated.

Sesshoumaru quickly grabbed hold of Kagome, opened the car door, and went into the house where the others were waiting.

“What is going on?” Kagome asked, holding Sesshoumaru's hand as they walked into the house.

Behind her, another security officer answered “We saw some suspicious person lurking on the grounds. We are being extra cautious with the activities that occurred yesterday.”

Naraku impatiently paced his room, waiting for word from one of his men. A knock came at his front door, Naraku hurried to answer it to get rid of whoever it was.

“Hey boss”, Muso said casually walking in.

Clearly irritated, Naraku looked at Muso like he was about to hit him.

“Did you do it?” Naraku asked realizing Muso was too stupid to give the information right away.

“The cameras I set up should be feeding into the television in the basement to be recorded.” Muso answered with a proud look on his face.

“Perfect, much closer to being able to claim Kagome as rightfully mine.” Naraku laughed.

After doing a sweep of the yard, the head of security came into the living room. Everyone was waiting for information, and not too patiently.

“I do apologize for the wait.” The security guard told them.

“Did you find anything?” Inu asked.

“Actually, yes, we found a camera that was not belonging to you. We would like permission to check inside the house itself if you don't mind.” The security guard informed.

“Of course.” Inu told him, “This is getting more serious.” He said to the others in the room.

“Should we call in the authorities for assistance?” Shiori asked.

“Not yet Shiori.” Inu responded with a reassuring smile.

Shiori looked at Kagome and the other girls to see if she had said something weird. Looking at the expression from the other girls she hadn't, she had just got to say it first. When she looked at the men however, she mostly got the reassuring smile that just screamed `cocky'; I want to handle this myself because I'm the man.

The security guard came back not too long later. “We found two other cameras in the house so far.” They were informed by the security guard.

“So far?” Kagome questioned.

“We are still searching the house to see if there are anymore.” The security guard answered.

Kagome nodded, and then noticed Jaken standing in the corner clearly upset about something but nothing was new there.

While the security guard left, and the others began to ponder about what was said. Kagome left Sesshoumaru's side for a moment to speak with Jaken.

“Jaken?” Kagome asked, bringing his attention to her.

“Yes Lady Kagome?” Jaken immediately responded.

Kagome was still getting used to Jaken, but she trusted the toad.

“Jaken will you keep an eye on the security? Make sure no one who is not supposed to be here is not. Since someone suspicious already got on to the property.” Kagome asked whispering.

Jaken took a moment, thought about Kagome's words. Nodding his head in agreement, Jaken quickly scurried out of the room.

Kagome rejoined Sesshoumaru sitting next to him while he was discussing a business meeting from the day prior.

Sesshoumaru paused his business conversation as his mate returned to ask “Everything ok mate?”

“Yea, I just asked Jaken to check something for me. Is that alright?” Kagome asked making sure it was ok to ask something of Jaken, after all Jaken was Sesshoumaru's servant.

“Of course, he's your servant as well as my own.” Sesshoumaru told her as his father handed him paper's from the business meeting.

Naraku finally have gotten rid of Muso, proceeded to go back to his room to call either Yura or Kikyo for a good time. However, as soon as he reached the hallway, his phone rang. Checking his caller id it read `Kai'.”

“Yes Kai? Did you get a hold of him?” Naraku asked not wanting to be disappointed.

Kai responded on the other end, “Yea, I got his interest, I just had to mention her and he seemed clearly interested. When and where would you like to meet him?” Kai asked.

Naraku thought for a minute, “Now, meet me at the pizza place near my house.” Naraku told him and quickly hung up the phone.

Naraku walked to his room, grabbed his wallet and headed out.

Meanwhile, Kagura was in her room and had overheard Naraku's side of that phone call. Kagura was not stupid, she knew whoever Naraku was going to meet, had something to do with Kai. Kai mentioned like most things now with Naraku it had to with his plot to get Kagome. Kagura got out her phone and text Kagome to let her know of the update.

During the men's fascinating conversation on whatever Business related topic they were discussing, Kagome had decided to lay her head on Sesshoumaru's should and close her eyes. She was interrupted though when her phone went off with a text.

Looking down at her phone, she saw it was from Kagura.

Kagome read `Kagome this is Kagura. I jst heard Naraku on da fone wit Kai bout meetin up wit sum guy Kai knows. Thought u should kno.'

Kagome thought for a moment, and then looked up feeling eyes on her. Apparently her text had not only caught her attention.

“Sorry about that.” Kagome apologized thinking she had interrupted.

“Sesshoumaru, you should read this though when you get a moment.” Kagome told him.

“What's wrong mate?” Sesshoumaru asked as he read the message on Kagome's phone.

“Who do you think he could be meeting?” Sesshoumaru questioned Kagome.

The only response to the question he got was a shrug from Kagome who became deep in thought.
