Immortal Pain
Still as a statue
His face
Blank and uncaring
But the pain inside
Is deadly and real
Yet it never reveals itself
Upon his ghostly face
Disguised beneath a mask of marble and gold
Always hidden
Never forgotten
Betrayed by those of his blood
In the worst possible ways
Abandoned he was
In the darkness
In the cold
Living in this nightmare
He now calls home
Internal scars
New ones and old
Mar his inner beauty
So deep they are
Forever bleeding
They never heal
They never fade
Condemned to this world of mass hysteria
The curse of eternal life he has
Misery
Pain
Betrayal
And elusive death
Following him
Mocking him
Until the Earth's dying day
Still as a statue
