Preview - Chapter 15

 

“We will practice your shooting today with Miko energy. This requires you to focus your energy onto the arrow to create what was called a “Purifying arrow”. Now,” he brought to her some arrows she had seen before in the shrine. “These arrows here are the arrows you will be using against evil youkai.” She picked it up with her cold fingers and noted the lightness of them. “These are much lighter then my current arrows” she mentions. He nods to her. “Yes, these are Miko arrows and once you apply your power to them, they will weight the same as the ones you are used to shoot with.” She narrowed her eyes at the feel of the wood in her hands. Would she be using these against Inuyasha?

 

Her fist tightens around the arrow in confusion. Her grandfather knowing what she was thinking laid his hand upon her shoulder and his voice became soft. “Kagome, I am not certain if you will be battling Inuyasha in the end. The only thing that I can teach you is how to defend yourself and how to control your power.” She nodded weakly; nothing could be helped at this point. She moved away from her grandfather and headed to the training grounds.
