Chapter One
NEVER AGAIN
Kagome looked at the photograph of Inuyasha's and her wedding. He was very handsome, which Kagome thought we had always been. He looked rather happier when they were not married; his eyes were not warmer as she had imagined them to be, not at all. She took the fault as hers that she had ever fallen in love with a man who could give her nothing, nothing put pain. He never took her to bed, he always came home late, partying with his boys or so he said. She had been blind but not anymore, she knew. She had always known. It was her again, the clay pot bitch. Back from the days of high school. Her own sister and she had always despised her. The first excuse was that every royal blooded man has a mistress, which was put down immediately. If he was royal blooded he shouldn't have to be living in her house on his father's money. In the evening she saw him at the jeweler's, buying a diamond ring. Now she shook her head at the thought that he was going to give it to her. He was out late again. She regretted the fact that he had the papers of their flat in his name, even though she paid the rent. After she finished a major part of her packing she went to her dressing table to take of ring, she thought about the beautiful diamond that was being given to another. Maybe it would suit her and maybe she'd be better off. She could see them in bed and she wanted to interrupt so bad that she stomped her foot. One this cold October night she threw that dumb letter in the fire place without reading it she knew the contents, each and every word that now meant almost nothing to her.
I hope the ring you gave to her
turns her finger green
I hope when you're in bed with her
you think of me
I would never wish bad things
but I don't wish you well
Could you tell
by the flames that burned your words
I never read your letter
'cause I knew what you'd say
Give me that Sunday school answer
tryin' make it all okay
turns her finger green
I hope when you're in bed with her
you think of me
I would never wish bad things
but I don't wish you well
Could you tell
by the flames that burned your words
I never read your letter
'cause I knew what you'd say
Give me that Sunday school answer
tryin' make it all okay
Just then she heard the bell ring, she opened the door. He smelt of dirt and alcohol. He swayed from side to side calling Kagome's name as she slammed the door in his face, she opened it again to leave the back she left behind as Inuyasha stammered his apology out. She could have guessed that everyone, his friends, his brother and even his dead sister would have known. So would have Miroku, if only Sango were here. That clay pot, how she hated it. It was always about Kikiyou, that was the thing that hurt the most. Kikiyou - she might believe all his excuse but Kagome wasn't going to, never.
Does it hurt
to know I'll never be there
Bet it sucks
to see my face everywhere
It was you
who chose to end it like you did
I was the last to know
you knew
exactly what you would do
And don't say
you simply lost your way
She may believe you
but I never will
never again
to know I'll never be there
Bet it sucks
to see my face everywhere
It was you
who chose to end it like you did
I was the last to know
you knew
exactly what you would do
And don't say
you simply lost your way
She may believe you
but I never will
never again
Even when Kikiyou knew she was married to him, she came to the wedding though she disappeared shortly after. Kagome was really better off without him. Kikiyou and Inuyasha, in a family photograph, with three quarter breeds, one fourth demon and three fourth human, if that was ever possible, she wondered. His excuses were the same and she had enough of it.
If she really knows the truth
she deserves you
A trophy wife Oh, how cute
Ignorance is bliss
But when your day comes
and he's through with you
and he'll be through with you
You'll die together, but alone
You wrote me in a letter
you couldn't say it right to my face
Give me that Sunday school answer
repent yourself away
she deserves you
A trophy wife Oh, how cute
Ignorance is bliss
But when your day comes
and he's through with you
and he'll be through with you
You'll die together, but alone
You wrote me in a letter

She was going now and she wasn't going to hear him ever again, forever.
Never again will I hear you
Never again will I miss you
Never again will I fall to you
Never
Never again will I kiss you
Never again will I want to
Never again will I love you
Never!
Never again will I miss you
Never again will I fall to you
Never
Never again will I kiss you
Never again will I want to
Never again will I love you
Never!
She picked up her suitcase; it was hard to resist the temptations of purifying someone after Naraku at this moment, she was so angry she could have burst with purifying light.
