Chapter Six:

"What makes you think I would be jealous?" Kikyou frowned.

"It's because I loved Kagome! I kissed her and you saw! YOU couldn't handle it and it drives you crazy to know that I'm happy with out you!" he smiled "Ha! I'm right!"

The priestess grew cold as she glared at him evilly "You're supposed to die for me Inuyasha! You're mine not hers and I corrected your huge MISTAKE! You belong to ME Inuyasha! AND ME ONLY!" she screamed as her grip tightened getting ready to release the bowstring, that would end the hanyou's life sending him to hell, where they could be together once again.

His face grew serious as Kikyou's anger skyrocketed. Then he smelled her, and though he couldn't move his body he knew that Kagome was near. 'Kagome where are you?' The hanyou heard the vibration of a bowstring and he closed his eyes tightly expecting a horrible and painful death. Inuyasha felt nothing and opened his eyes as an arrow shot passed the priestess' face cutting her cheek. He saw Kikyou's eyes grow wide.

"I killed you!" she growled as she pulled up the arrow and aimed for Kagome.

He still couldn't see where she was and couldn't move so he screamed "Kagome hide! Get away as fast as you can! JUST RUN!"

Another arrow flew passed the priestess, barely missing her shoulder "Damn it girl! You're dead! And this time I'll make sure of that!" Kikyou screamed as she aimed for the young miko standing on the roof.

Kagome already had her plan, and she aimed for Kikyou's bow. She fired the quickly ducked barely missing Kikyou's arrow. Kagome lost her footing and fell. She rolled down the roof, and grabbed the gutter before she fell off. She heard a cry of pain as Kikyou's bow sting snapped from Kagome's arrow. The string flew up forcefully nailing the priestess in the face.

Kikyou touched her face and winced. The blood trickled sown her face and Inuyasha looked at her. There was a fat mark going from the top left of her forehead, to her left eye, down her nose, splitting her lips and cutting her chin. The gash was huge, but Kikyou acted as though it was only a small scratch at the time.

'Good shot!' he thought, snickering at the sight of the priestess loosing to her reincarnation, who hadn't even had the superior knowledge of being a priestess unlike Kikyou, who was one.

Kagome let go of the gutter and dropped to the ground, and she actually landed on her feet for once. She picked up her bow and placed all but one of her arrows in the quiver, then putting it on her back. He fixed herself before she took off running in Kikyou's direction. All the while her bow was ready to fire at any given moment.

"Look at what you did!" Kikyou growled holding her face not noticing that Kagome was coming towards her.

"Here let me fix that for you then!" The miko said tackling the priestess to the ground.

Inuyasha and the priestess were both stunned by Kagome's agility. Kikyou was temporarily unconscious as Kagome crawled over to Inuyasha and hugged him, fighting back her tears.

"Inuyasha" she started but he interrupted her. "Kagome, look get this seal off my kimono, I can't move"

Kikyou slowly rose and stood over Kagome who attended to the hanyou,

"Looked out Kagome! Behind you!" Inuyasha screamed as Kagome pulled off the seal and threw it at the priestess.

The priestess swung at Kagome with her heavy bow, knocking the miko unconscious and sending Kikyou flying into the ground as the seal stuck to her leg, "FUCK" she growled.

The hanyou sat up rubbing his chest where the seal laid. He looked around to find both Kikyou and Kagome o the ground. On his hands and knees he crawled over to the young mike, he put his head on her chest and listened to the rhythm of her heartbeat.

"I've missed you so much Kagome" he whispered softly.

Her heart began to race, and he could her it speed up "I--Inuyasha?" she said confused as his head lay on her chest 'What is he doing?' she thought.

Inuyasha grinned as he lifted his head and looked into Kagome's sparkling blue eyes "You're alive" he put his hand behind her shoulders and helped her sit up. The Hanyou just lost all train of thought and stared at the beautiful miko.

As she sat up, Kagome couldn't believe that Inuyasha was being gentle. She winced and rubbed her head 'Kikyou hit me hard' she thought glancing at the priestess lying on the ground a few feet away from herself. Kagome gasped as Inuyasha placed his head down on her shoulder.

"Well of course I'm alive, what did you think" she said confused getting a little sarcastic.

He sat up straight, with his face only a few inches from her face. The young miko closed her eyes as he leaned close, then he let out a growl "Of course I thought you were dead Wench! You died in my arms!"

Inuyasha rose and glared down at her, his face showed signs of torture, hurt and pain. Kagome didn't know what to say, she didn't know how much he really cared for her. She dropped her gaze from him to the ground.

"I didn't know" she wiped her eyes and sniffled.

"Oh please don't cry" he said kneeling to her side, gently he lifted her chin, and he tried to smile "All that matters to me is that you're alive."

'He does really care for me' she thought as she flushed a dark red. Kagome wrapped her arms around the hanyou and held him tightly in her grasp, almost causing him to fall on top of her.
