InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ In the Game of Life ❯ Strange Surroundings ( Chapter 2 )
In the Game of Life
Sorry it has taken me so long to update. I'm sorry if some parts weren't as good as others were in the first chapter. I kinda rushed it a little trying to get it done. I could've put a lot more detail into it. I might edit it to make it better when I get the chance. Now on to the review responses.
Faye 273: I'm glad you enjoyed my fic, but you put a 7 under enjoyment. I mean I appreciate you being honest, but a 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey, really, it's ok though..................................................................... ............. But a 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought my story was at least an eight. And even if it wasn't, you could've at least been nicer. *sticks tongue out* Meanie!!!
notzathros: um…………… you're welcome? I `m glad you read my story, and I'm glad you wrote more than three words, and I'm glad you didn't put anything mean like someone else I know and despise *glares at Faye 273*. I'm just very glad ^_^ `.
Aurora_thorn: Thanx soooo much for checking out my story. I hope you like this chapter. I also thought it was pretty sad when Inuyasha died. I gave him a short death, though. I thought it would be too sad if I made him just kinda linger. That's probably another thing I'll change when I edit chapter 1.
Fireash: I'm glad you like the story, since you're the one who came up with the idea in the first place. If you didn't like it, that would be really disappointing. I'd cry. And that's not a pretty sight. Also, thanx for the offer. I'm sure I'll get writer's block sometime, and I'll need you're help.
Trojin Relma Jennings: You wrote one word!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! You could've at least written three. I thought that was my limit. Hey, it's ok though. I still like you. You gave me a ten. You didn't give a 7 like some other person I'm not going to mention *cough* *cough* "Faye 273" *cough*.
nl: I'm glad you enjoyed my fic. I know I went really fast. I was rushing to get it done in time for the new year. Like I said, I'm planning on fixing it when I get the time.
Faye 273 (not another response): I hope you don't feel offended. I'm not trying to be mean, and I'm sure, no, I hope you weren't either. If this offended you, you can either cry or stop reading my story. I'd prefer you cry.
Here's a recap on the last chappy:
Kagome held out her wrist and pressed the knife down hard. Blood flowed freely from the wound. The pain was intense, but she managed to hold the knife with the other hand and slit her other wrist. Everything started to go black, but before her vision was completely gone, she saw
Inuyasha comes towards her. "Damn it, what have you done to yourself, you stupid girl."
Kagome smiled "Inuyasha."
"Inuyasha?! Who's he?" The man shrugs his shoulders, picks her up, and runs off.

Chapter 2:
Strange Surroundings
Kagome is lying in the darkness, all alone. She can feel her hair being blown around harshly by the wind. At first, it seems as if she is floating, but then she feels her body being set down gently by some imaginary force. The cool, fresh wetness of the grass beneath her tickles her skin. There is now sunshine on her face and it forces her eyes to open. Everything is blurred. She hears a voice off in the distance calling her name.
"That sounds like Inuyasha." She remembers the events that occurred before everything went black. "He must have taken me to the after life." She sits up and rubs her eyes, but they're still blurry.
"Kagome." The voice says again.
"Inuyasha?"
"Kagome. Hurry up. You're so slow."
"Inuyasha, where are you? You sound so far away"
"I'm right here Kagome." The voice whispers into her ear, making Kagome
jump.
Kagome stands up "I can't see you Inuyasha."
"Open your eyes Kagome." he's far away again
"They are open. I can't see anything. Everything's blurry."
"You have to focus." Kagome squints her eyes. She sees Inuyasha in the distance, but he's still blurred. Like something you see off in the distance when it's really hot. She walks up close to him, half
expecting him to disappear, but he doesn't. He looks normal. "It's about time. Let's go."
"Go where?"
Inuyasha doesn't answer. He just walks quickly with a adamant face. Kagome follows, almost running to keep up. He leads her into the forest. They walk for a few minutes until Kagome demands to know where he is taking her. Inuyasha stops and stares down at something. He looks sad. Kagome looks down to see her body lying against the trunk of the "God Tree". Blood is flowing from the cuts on her wrist.
Inuyasha looks almost as if he's about to cry. "Kagome, what did you do to yourself?"
"Don't you know? … I wanted to be with you. I didn't want to be alone." Kagome said with tears in her eyes.
Inuyasha looks at her and narrows his eyes. "What about Sango, and Miroku, andShippou? Did you forget about them?"
Kagome's tears rolled down her cheeks. She had forgotten about them. She didn't even know if they were all right.
"And your family? Your grandfather, your mother and Souta. Them too? Did you want to hurt them? Did you really even think about them? ... No, you didn't did you. You were only thinking of yourself. You…"
"Stop it!" Kagome screamed. Tears were furiously pouring out of her red eyes and streaming down her wet cheeks. Why was he being this way? She thought he would be happy.
"The truth hurts doesn't it." His face was stern but unemotional. He looked very much like his brother at that moment.
His legs began to travel away from her. He walked until he was so far away that he was barely noticeable through her tears and the distance between them. `No. This can't happen. Not again.' "You're not leaving me again." She ran to catch up with him.
Inuyasha had stopped and was looking down into the Bone Eater's Well. His face held arcane emotion.
"Inuyasha?"
His mouth did not even attempt to break the silence.
Kagome demanded his name again, but again he didn't even blink. "Inuyasha." She said again. She was crying again. She felt more alone at this moment than she ever had before. "Inuyasha, why won't you talk to me?" She killed herself for him, she was willing to give up everything to be with him, and he was treating her like dirt. "What do you want?"
Just wake up, you stupid girl. With that, he pushed her into the well.
"I'm sorry, Kagome" he whispered. He fell back on the grass with tears nagging to break free.
.
.
.
Kagome lands softly at the bottom of the well. The feels soft, almost fluffy, like pillows. Suddenly, the pillowy feeling disappears and she feels pain all over her body and squeezes her eyes shut as if it could make the pain go away. After a while she just can't deal with it and screams out for Inuyasha.
She hears voices all around her, none of which are Inuyasha. She opens her eyes to see that she is in a large room on a huge bed, surrounded by pillows. A man opens the door to the room and walks over to her. He is carrying a rather large needle with a yellowish liquid. He walks up to her and everything goes black again.
Well, as always, I hope you liked it. I know this chapter was really short, but I'll bring out the next chapter as soon as I can. Until then, I want reviews. If I don't get what I want, I get cranky, and then I start yelling at Faye 273.
