Chapter eight: Bloodlust

Kagome blushed slightly and recovered. “Oh, um, no I'm not lost, I'm going to help with the dinner thing deal, and um, I wanted to know if there was going to be any meat `cause I can't smell any….so…yeah.” Kagome cringed inwardly, she most positively sounded like a lost kid. “By the way, what's your name?”

The red-headed demoness smiled “My name Fuyu Ame. I was named after the raining snow in which my mother died. But you can call me Faye if you wish.” Kagome grinned in return. “Would you like to come with me to hunt for the meal? `Cause every meal must have meat.” Faye's smile grew even larger and she tilted her head shyly, “Think it'd be ok?” she pondered out loud. “Heck yes, come on Faye.” Kagome yelled back as she began to head to the back gate of the castle which would lead them to the woods. Once there Kagome waited for Faye. And once Faye had caught up she and Kagome went into the woods to hunt for meat. Just like before Kagome went far ahead of Faye, Kagome found a deer and after a moments hesitation she bit into the soft neck flesh of the animal. As the deer bellowed quietly Kagome did not notice her appearance change and alter. Her eyes became blood red, her pupil dilated into a black mass; her hair surrounded her face and part of her prey's neck. Her sent changed into the scent of blood lust. And unnoticed sitting in the trees sat Inuyasha muttering about blood thirsty hunting females. Just as he was going to jump behind his unsuspecting victim, Kagome arched her neck and he watched, his gaze captured by the sight before him. Kagome lifted the prize above her, neck bent back to bit into it's soft flesh. Kagome's neck rippled as she drank the blood the animal clutched to her chest, her lips to its neck, feeding her bloody greed. As soon as it had begun Kagome regained control, her eyes went back to normal, as did her scent. Kagome lifted her head as she heard her companion catching up to her. “Wow, Kagome your sure run fast. You left me far behind. Your pretty skilled…for a human” Faye giggled at the comment she had left in the air, and Kagome with good humor grinned back, giving her a crooked grin. “Well, tch, with a world of god and demons, I had to be! Take this back to the cook. I'll be there shortly I have something to take care of k?” Kagome cocked her head to the left as she ended her comment. Faye blushed as she responded. “Sure, um, should I come back for you or should I just wait until you come back? Don't answer that. You'll probably want me to wait back at the castle.” Kagome nodded and waited until Faye was out of sight, hearing, and smelling range.

Inuyasha hid further into the tree's branches unnoticed by the frustrated female below him. Kagome gave an agitated moan as she sank to her knees and dug her fingers into the rich soil. Her shoulders twitched for a moment attempting to gain control, but apparently failing. She decided it wasn't worth attempting to stop the blood lust, since it wouldn't stop until it was satisfied. Her appearance changed back to as it had been back with the deer. This time it was slightly more drastic. Her nails grew longer than what would seem normal; she grew slightly taller (something that seemed impossible to Inuyasha after witnessing the whole transformation back with the Thunder brother dilemma.) She did not fill out her curves any more, yet still she seemed perfect. As her eyes regained their red and black decorations she stood up and upon her face were more changes. She had a black splash like marking in the middle of her forehead and three strips on each of her cheeks. She stood slowly, head still bowed. Inuyasha stared as he saw the ground ripple away from her as if trying to escape. Kagome's uplifted face held a slightly crooked grin. “Hunting time!” her voice chimed its excited childish whisper. Inuyasha noticed that her feet were flexing, leaving only her toes on the ground, in a movement to fast for Inuyasha's eyes to follow, she kicked her feet up, her legs bent in the air, leaving a slight wind bellow her. Inuyasha did not even stand a chance in keeping up with her, frustrated he decided to sulk some more. She ran onward, her eyes fixed on a strong being, flying high above, with his long, white hair trailing behind him. “I hope he doesn't die from bloodloss.” She giggled at the prospect of Sessohmaru collapsing in her arms just because she had to feed. “that would embarrass him…would it not?...I think I'll find out.”

Ack…I know I know, super long time to update…sorry but I've been REALLY busy…BETTER BELIEVE IT!!
