In the Mirror: Chapter twenty. The beginning part two

The suns shinning, birds are singing, and I'm with my most favorite person in the world! My Sesshomaru-sama! Ah-un and Jaken-sama are here too, but I've learned to ignore Jaken-sama when he's in one of his moods. Which is most of the time. He's never really been that nice to me, but when Sesshomaru-sama looks at him he usually shuts up. Like earlier today, I was a little tired from walking all day, its night right now, and I was slowing down; Jaken-sama started yelling at me saying that I was a disgrace to Sesshomaru-sama, so Sesshomaru-sama turned around and looked at Jaken-sama and he stopped talking right away. Sesshomaru-sama carried me the rest of the way until we found a spot to camp for the night.

 

He found a very pretty clearing with wild flowers in it and lots of fireflies for me to chase if I felt like it. Which I don't at the moment, I'm still a little tired, but no harm comes from sitting in the middle of the field trying to get them to come to me. I can feel Sesshomaru-sama watching me, he never lets me out of his sight for to long since that mean lady took me and I met Kohaku. He wasn't very happy with Jaken-sama after that, so he doesn't leave me alone with him for too long anymore.

 

“Sesshomaru-sama! Sesshomaru-sama!” I turned around to see one of Sesshomaru-sama's guards running towards us. I've never seen him before. He ran and knelt before Sesshomaru-sama trying to catch his breath. I ran over to his side and asked him if he needed any water. Most youkai like Sesshomaru-sama don't need water that often, but this one looked parched. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Jaken-sama having a fit about me being so nice to a lower youkai. I don't care; Sesshomaru-sama doesn't mind, he didn't say anything anyway, so I really don't care what Jaken-sama says.

 

“No, thank you mi lady, I am fine. I've come with urgent news from the palace look outs. They have spotted Shizuka-sama on the outskirts of Inuyasha-sama's domain carrying a child with him.'' He said looking at our Lord with excitement in his eyes.

 

I remember Shizuka-sama; he was always nice to me. His father is a different story, but Shizuka-sama said that he could still remember how nice Inuyasha's mother had been, and he said that I was a lot like her. I looked up to Sesshomaru-sama, he didn't seem to be to concerned, but I know that he's had a lot of people out looking for Shizuka-sama and this must be very good news for him.

 

“He has a child with him?” He asked.

 

“Yes mi Lord, a kitsune child.” A fox youkai? That's what Shippo is. I've become friends with him since Inuyasha-sama and Sesshomaru-sama have learned to tolerate each other. That's another story all on its own.

 

“Sesshomaru-sama? You think-“

 

“I do. Jaken, take Rin home. I'm going to investigate this matter. Kinta, escort them to the palace and don't let anyone come within twenty feet of them, not even Shizuka, understand?”

 

“Yes mi Lord” Kinta said bowing.

 

“Goodbye Sesshomaru-sama, come back soon!” I said waving to him. He looked and me and nodded before turning around and taking off into the forest. Kinta looked down at me and smiled. I've never seen him before as I said, and I didn't notice it before, but being alone with him (even if Jaken-sama was with me I was still alone) made me realize that he was a little creepy.

 

He had golden color hair and two goat horns on the top of his head. He wore the standard guard uniform, red, yellow and white, just like Sesshomaru-sama, only they didn't look as nice in it as he did and it was a different style. But he didn't look as nice now as he did before.

 

“Alright mi Lady, time to take you home.”

 

“O-okay.” I said trying to sound normal. We started walking and right away I noticed that we weren't going the right way. I've been all over Japan with Sesshomaru-sama and I know the lands we're on now, and I know that we're going the wrong way to get home. We needed to go the way the sun sets to get home and we were going the way the sun rises. I better say something before we go too far out of our way.

 

“Um, excuse me Kinta-sama, but were going the wrong way.” I said looking at him from on top of Ah-un.

 

“No we're not, Rin. Not for where I'm taking you.”

 

“Now see here Kinta, Sesshomaru-sama told you directly to take her back to the-“ Kinta hit Jaken-sama into a tree and knocked him out before he could say anything else.

 

I knew this guy was bad news.

 

“Ah-un, lets get out of here!” I whispered in his ear. But he didn't get the chance to take off; Kinta took his sword was cut off one of his wings.

 

“No! Ah-un! Please get up! Please be okay!” I said knelling at his side. Kinta walked up next to me. I backed up as far away from him as I could into Ah-un's neck.

 

“He'll be fine; his wing will grow back in a couple of years. But if you don't come with me now then I'll be forced to cut off his heads, and that my dear I'm afraid he would not survive. Now come with me if you want your precious pet to live.”

 

I didn't have a choice. I looked back at Ah-un, who was twitching in pain, and kissed him goodbye before getting up and letting Kinta take me. But I asked him first.

 

“Why are you doing this? And where are you taking me?” He picked me up and I fought the urge to throw up. I didn't want anyone to pick me up except Sesshomaru-sama.

 

“I'm doing this because Sesshomaru doesn't pay in jewel shards. And I'm taking you to Naraku-sama's castle. He's the one with the jewel shards.” I know that man; he's the one that took me before when I met Kohaku. That's what Jaken-sama said away. I only saw him and that wind lady. I closed my eyes and prayed with all my being that Sesshomaru-sama would find out that Kinta was a trader and he would come back and save me.

 

But he didn't, and Kinta took me to a very dark castle with miasma all around it.

 

“You better get used to it princess, because this is going to be your home for a very long time.”

 

I past out walking through the door.
