House of the father
The sun was beginning to set, as Inuyasha continued to look for Kagome. As if the whole forest fell into a bewitching spell of hatred, he was victim of several weaknesses. The flowers of the forest intensified their scent, thus causing him to have his sense of smell, limited. The pollen was so thick that it caused a mist to form around him.
To make things worse, the rain and humidity cause a great fog to permeate the lands. If the pollen didn't limit his sight, the fog did.
`Mahal, be safe, I am coming for you.' He thought out loud hoping that he could get some idea as to her whereabouts. He had never felt so helpless before. He knew that her life was in danger, and he couldn't find her despite his strength and power.
`She trusted me.' He thought with self-disgust. He knew she was to be his mate. His body, mind and soul accepted her, what was more important the forest accepted her as a sister. All of those things needed her yet, someone dared to take her and want her dead. That thought caused him to growl.
During his search he had to calm down several times, for he felt something evil from within. He wasn't really sure whether it was really evil or not, but he knew that it was dangerous. Sometimes when he fought, he heard it whispering to him, wanting to be released. He usually fought it and tamed it. Afterwards he would silently pray thanking whatever god listening that it never came out.
The whispers were always the same. Wanting bloodshed wanting power. Inuyasha didn't want those things and tried to not follow what the voice wanted. Since his future mate's life is at stake, the whisper from within grew into shouts and commands. Nothing would appease it until she was found.
`Mahal please be safe.' He thought again as he continued looking.
He came upon his companions a while later. They were on the ground whimpering in pain. Inuyasha growled again and inspected his two friends. Both of them seem to be suffering from the same fate. They had several claw marks on their necks, but the wounds were quickly healing. Inuyasha stood up in shock. Their heads were decapitated, but they were revived and healing.
Inuyasha slowly backed away from his friends, trying to control his rage. He smelled the blood of his love on them. It was her blood that is healing them. He tried to back away to calm the demon with in. He needed to think straight. He needed to calm down and look for her.
Kiba and Tama went to their leader and whimpered to him. Looking at them, he sighed and bent to nuzzle them, thus assuring them that they did well in protecting their mistress. When he stood straight up, the three heard a distant sound of groaning. At once the three went in pursuit of the person giving off the sound of pain.
The found the victim minutes later gasping for air and making a poor job in sitting up. Inuyasha knelled to him and asked. “Where is she Toya?”
Toya winced at the tone and replied. “She ran… ran off…. heading back to the direction of my lands.”
“Who did this to you?” Inuyasha asked trying to control the urge in killing his betrayer.
“Kanna, she ….she.. attacked me, left me for dead…but I'll survive.” He replied shamefully then added. “She cured me, with her attack and Kagome's…blo…help.” I have been cure. Brother.. I”
“Don't you dare call me brother, you dare touch what's mine, take what's mine and hurt what's mine. Give me one reason why I shouldn't finish the job Kanna couldn't?” Inuyasha asked as his eyes flashed red.
“Charlie, he….said he'd kill her if I didn't do it.” Toya confessed. “Some how the evil entered into me, and I grew greedy. I soon wanted immortality, I even tried to kill her myself, I'll tell you the truth, I am sorr..”
“Enough, when you are better, I will reckon with you. I need to find her. Your foolish words mean nothing to me.” Inuyasha said as he and his two companions set off in search of Kagome.
`Brother, please…” Toya thought to him
`Not now, I am trying to contain myself, if you pester me now….it will mean your death. Later' Inuyasha thought back to him.
Toya sighed again, wishing that he were indeed dead.

Kagome grew scared once she heard the sound of Toya's scream. `He's not dead is he?” she thought franticly hoping that it wasn't true. Sure he betrayed them all and he even wanted her dead, but he didn't seem to be that bad really.
Kagome ran as fast as she could as she heard a distant sound of a flute playing. Not all together sure why she was doing this, she followed the sound. When she came into a clearing she found herself looking out a large roofless building. There were neither doors nor windows, just the emptiness that occupied those spaces.
This building instead of walls of wood or brick, the walls were covered with vines and beautiful white flowers. `Wow…it's like a dream.' She thought as she walked into its door-less entry.
In the building was a grand fountain so large that it stood several stories high. She could tell that it was running water, because of the sound, and the trickles of water that fell free form the fountain. The sight she then saw immediately mad her freeze with fear. She immediately spotted a giant man sitting on the brim of the grand fountain.
He was indeed very beautiful in appearance. Long flowing white/silver tresses that seemed to glow with the spays of water around him. He had amber eyes that were narrow in appearance, almost like he seen a lot of death in his life. `Wow, he looks like Inuyasha only larger, and no cute ears' she thought as she continued to gawk at this presence.
He seemed to be ignoring her, as he continued to play his flute. As if she was lulled she began to sway in fatigue. She felt the need to suddenly sit down and listen. When she did so, he stopped playing and looked at her.
“I finally get to meet you Kagome.” He said with a musical deep voice.
`Can a man be a siren? Is this a trap of some sort?' she thought as she blinked and struggled to get up.
“I'm sorry, I didn't think I'd end up in a place like this. I'm sorry for intruding.” She said as she started to leave the building of flowers.
“Wait.” He said to her and motioned her to come closer.
Kagome stopped in her tracks and regarded him closely. She didn't sense anything sinister in him, yet she didn't sense anything good in him either. She slowly walked up to him.
“I don't have all day for you to decide…come here now.” He commanded his voice full of authority.
With that said Kagome walked up to him and waited. He leaned into the fountain, as if looking for something and grabbed something out of it. He had his hand closed so she couldn't see what it was, but his eyes began to glow blue. He closed his eyes as if saying a prayer then opened them again to reveal to her that they turned back into amber.
He opened his hand and gave her an opportunity to look at his findings. One of the objects was a peal. It was a size of a gumball and it changed colors from blue to pink. She put the pearl in her pocket for safekeeping, and looked at the other item. The other was a hand held mirror. Looked like it was hand crafted by a true master of silver and gold. On the back of it was a graven image of a dog. She held it hoping that the mirror would stay safe in her hands.
“Give these to my daughters. They both will need them. And tell them that it's time for them to come home.” He said as he motioned for her to leave.
“Wait” she said as she found her self outside again, but this time the building disappeared.
“Who was that guy?” She thought out loud.
“What guy Kagome?” came the voice from behind her.
There stood before her was little Rin smiling sweetly at her. Kagome sighed in relief and bent to her.
“I was in a house of flowers, and a giant man gave me something to give his two daughters.” She began as she suddenly saw Rin's face light up more, if that was possible.
“Papa, you saw papa! What did he give me? Can I see?” she squealed and started to giggle and run around Kagome in circles.
“Hush now sweetie, I am running from Kanna. He told me to tell you to come home. Oh and to give you these things.” She said as she attempted to give Rin the mirror. She felt a sudden tug in her pocket, the pearl in her pocket started to burn. Kagome pulled it out and looked at it.
“I guess this is for you.” She said as she gave Rin the pearl. She squealed in excitement. And bowed to Kagome. “Thank you so much sister! I'll get to show brother, and then I have to go.” Rin seem to glow literally as she ran off into the bush.
Kagome smiled and shook her head at the little girl. Her smile suddenly left her, for she realized it was now night.
“Damn, I can't see.” She thought out loud.
“Don't worry, you wont need to see too much longer.” Came the voice behind her.
