Author's note: Sorry for the delay I just came back from North Carolina, and I had a blast. I only have a few more chapters and I am done with my second story. Thank you for the reviews.

 

Also I do not have a beta reader, I would like to have more info as to how to get one.

 

And I never really thought the story was based on Wild Rain…I thought it was more based on …….I don't know anymore. Some from that book some from the trip I took in December, some from the trip I took in Hawaii, and partly a dream I had.

 

I wanted a story a little different, and It's really hard to get the characters that we know and love and have them in modern day life, with out them sounding out of character. At least it was to me. I do like this Inuyasha; I think that is how he would act if he were alone and older. He's too wild to be in the city. And as for that story from Feehan, I never got past chapter 3 or 4 or whatever of that book. Enough of this author's note, on with the story

 

 

 

Perfect set up

 

Rain forest--------

 

Kanna was sitting alone on a tree stump rocking back and forth. She was both very confused and scared. She had great pains in her little head and she couldn't stop thinking bad thoughts. `That horrible woman' she thought as tears started to stream down her face. `He belongs to me, she cant' have him.' Her mind said to her.

 

`No, stop thinking that! Brother has a mate, why think such bad things about her. She saved people and Rin says she is nice. What has she done to you?' she thought to her mind as she struggled to keep control.

 

It has been a great struggle over the last several days for the little girl. “Father, help me.” She whimpered as she felt another sharp pain in her head. She knew in her heart, it was all her, but her mind, her mind sounded a lot like a grown woman.

 

`Why do I want brother? He took that lady as his mate, I saw him do what Father says mommies and daddies do sometimes when they want to have a baby, why does my head hate what they did so badly. And what is wrong with brother's mate, I am supposed to be happy that I have a new sister, not mad. And why did I kill brother Toya.' She started to cry harder.

 

For the life of her, she didn't get it. Why she was having such feelings of hatred and pain? What was she sick with?

She heard from the village and the whispers in the forest that she was sick, and she knew that had to be the truth. Why else would she think such horrible things, why else would she had hurt Mr. Mongoose. Just that thought brought a new round of tears. When was the last time she played, or laughed. Even the animals run from her, and she felt so very lonely. What she did know was that she needed kill that Kagome girl, and be with her brother.

 

The reasons weren't too clear to her, but that was what her mind wanted. It tried scaring her, then tried to threaten her. But her own companions already accepted her as a sister. Once she realized their acceptance, her mind screamed with anguish.

 

Standing up, the little girl slowly wiped her tear-streaked face. Kanna did know when she started having those weird and scary thoughts. She then thought back to the events that lead her to the pain that she was in currently.

 

Flashback:

 

It was a month ago, and she with her friends the bats were playing in the southern part of country. She knew that her father forbid her doing so, but she was a little girl, and little girls don't always listen to their fathers. Especially, little girls who have great powers.

 

While playing, a good game of tag with her flying companions, she stumbled across a shrine of some sort. Even her friends told her not to go near it. But something was calling her. It was a voice of a woman. Kanna was told that Men were dangerous, so she thought because it was a lady's voice that it would be ok to go up to the meet her new friend.

 

“Hello little one, where is your mother?” it asked sounding very concerned.

 

Kanna, excited to hear a voice of a woman eagerly walked up to the shrine and opened the door. There were writings on the door that she failed to take notice of, words of warning and great evil. The bats knowing their sister was in trouble latched on to her to stop her.

 

`It's ok guys, she is safe.” Kanna assured them as she walked into the dark shrine.

 

“Hey lady, where are you?” she asked looking around in the room. To Kanna the shrine looked very welcoming for there were pictures and pretty decorations all around.

 

She stood around looking for the lady, but there was no sign of anyone in the room. All that was there was what looked like a large long box made up of Ivory. She signed since she was disappointed and she walked out of the room. Little did she realize was once she stepped into that room, she became a host of the dark priestess.

 

End of flashback

 

`Little one, I can help you.' Said a voice from within. Kanna suddenly grew fearful at the voice, and shook her head. `No…….Go away….' She pleaded.

 

`Little one, all you have to do is release, me and the pain will go away.' The voice said The bushes started to rustle, and out came a long giant albino snake.

 

“Who's there?” she cried out looking around. She hated that voice. She also was scare of snakes. All she wanted to do was for the voice to stop hurting her, and her friends. “Who are you?” she cried

 

“I am Tsubaki, I am within you. Release me and that girl will be killed.” Came the voice from with in. The snake hissed at Kanna trying to get her attention. When Kanna looked into it's eyes, she suddenly felt the world spin around her.

 

`So tired.' Was the final thought Kanna had, as her dark eyes that were ever changing colors closed.

 

Suddenly a flash of light engulfed the girl, and what was once the innocent guardian of the night, turned into something very evil.

 

“That was too easy.” Tsubaki said to her serpent and they both walked off looking for their prey.

Japan Mid morning-----

 

After heaving in the toilet for an hour, Sango took a deep breath. `I can do this. It's the only way to get him.' She thought as she put some latex gloves on. She had the plan playing in her mind over and over again, but still hesitated. Part one was done, and shortly he will head to his demise. She smiled at the thought. `I would love to see the look on his face when they pull him over.' She thought as she looked at a wallet in her hands and headed to her room.

 

“I can do this.” She said to herself, as anxiety started to rise. She started to calm herself with her breathing technique and within seconds she was ok.

 

`I can't be a coward. I am stronger than this. Kagome's life is at stake.' She thought as she walked into her bedroom. On one of her dressers was the object that she was searching for. The knife. The same knife that Naraku had picked up and placed on the dresser haphazardly. She smiled at the weapon, and looked around the room.

 

“Let the games begin.” She said as she started to tear her bedroom apart.

One hour later, somewhere else in Japan…..

 

It started out as a good morning. Naraku was pulled over to the side of the road patiently waiting for the cop to come up to the car. He couldn't find his wallet, but that didn't really matter, they can run the plates and know whom he was.

 

“Can I have license, registration, and proof of insurance sir?” the cop asked as another

Police car pulled up.

 

“I'm sorry I misplaced my wallet, why am I being pulled over?” Naraku asked trying to keep his composure. He was a good driver and was confused as to why they pulled him over. He looked in his rearview window to see that there was yet another car pulling over.

 

He reached into the glove compartment, for the Sango's registration and insurance when he gasped. He didn't find either item, what he found made his blood go cold. In the glove compartment was a plane ticket with his name on it sending him to The U.S. one way and what looked like several $100.00 bills in U.S. money.

 

“Looks like you were planning on taking a trip sir.” The officer mentioned to him.

 

“Why am I being pulled over?” Naraku asked, his voice not as forceful as he liked.

 

“Sir, someone had called and reported this car stolen, please get out of the vehicle.”

 

“No, I will not I have my rights, and do you jack-asses have any idea who you are talking to?” Naraku screamed at the officers.

 

There before him were three cops staring coldly at him. He got out of the car, and they proceeded to search his car. Naraku was beyond pissed. Sango asked him to use her Jaguar, because she wanted his car for a function.

 

“This is my wife's car.” Naraku explained to them as they searched his car.

 

“Oh so this belongs to your wife?” one of the officers asked as he lifted up two large sandwich bags full of white powder.

`Oh shit…how the hell did that get in there.' Naraku thought as he looked at the cocaine.

 

`What is Sango up to?' his eyes narrowed at the betrayal of his wife and the police officers before him. One of the cops walked back to his car, to call in with the findings.

 

Naraku paled at the thought of his career, and life being destroyed. He worked too long and too hard for them to take everything from him in one day. `I will get Sango back for this.' He thought inwardly snarling. To the remaining two officers he said. “I am Naraku Arachna, you might have heard of me, I am the mayor of this town. I demand you stop this foolish interrogation, and let me go. I have a meeting that I can't be late for, so if you want your jobs, you will do as I ask.”

 

When the cops looked at him real good they too paled and slowly backed away. “Oh my god! Mr. Arachna, Sir?” One of the officers said confused as to what to do.

 

Naraku shook his head at them and walked up to his car. The one who was in the car stopped him. “Sir, you will have to come with us.”

 

“I told you, I didn't steal this car, and it's my wife's car.” He yet again replied. `Sango you will pay for this shit that you put me through

 

“Mr. Arachna, this car doesn't belong to you or your wife. You will have to come with us. Just for some routine questioning.” The cop said firmly as the other two looked nervous.

 

“Fine, I'll come with you officer, but no this by the end of the day, I'll have your badge.” He said as he climbed in the back seat of the crown Victoria. The Officer snorted and climbed into the driver's side, while the officer read him his rights.

 

“Sango, why?” Naraku thought bitterly.

The Rainforest:

 

The time it took for the two to find the hut would normally take one day. However, the newly mated couple had taken three days. Along with the rain forest's humidity, and their growing obsession with touching each other, they really had to make several stops.

 

“Home sweet home.” Kagome stretched her legs since she was still sore from both the walking, and the other activities that they were involved with.

 

“Keh, I told you that you could ride me. We could have been here a lot sooner.” Inuyasha said. Then suddenly frowned when Kagome started laughing.

 

“Ride you? I think not, the last three days, if I'm not mistaken you were riding me. Am I right?” she smiled at him and gave him a wink.

 

“You knew what I meant woman, is that all humans think about?” he growled trying to sound offended, but failed badly.

 

“Yes and no. I never really thought much about it, until I met you. And Now that I did, that is all I think about.” Kagome boldly said.

 

“Besides it's not that bad. It's not like I forced you.” She said also trying to sound offended.

He grinned at his mate. Not only was he pleased that they finally got to mate, he was also ecstatic to find that she had stamina. Even though she was inexperienced, she allowed him to show her many ways that he could please her and vice versa.

 

“Since we are home now,” Kagome said as she started to remove her clothing. “I think I should try riding you.”

 

Once she made that statement, Inuyasha growled and pounced at her landing both of them on the mattress of furs. The two spent the rest of the day, and evening sharing each other. Despite what was going on around them, they had all the time in the world.
