In Inuyashas forest you could hear a kit crying. "Miroku are you sure she would've come back here?" Asked the kitsue in a shaky voice. Hes little beady eyes and wobbling lips made everyone feel worse. Ever since they were at the cave the group searched for the missing miko.

"Shippo were are all worried for Lady Kagome, but we are doing everything we know to find her. I only hope she isn't lost out here. The only thing we can do is hope something comes up soon." Miroku knew things were bad they had been searching there past steps in order to see if Inuyasha could pick up her scent. Then he thought that she had might of went home. So that is where they were waiting for Inuyasha to get back from the future. If she wasn't there then he didn't want to think of what could of happened to her.

Sangos knees buckled under her. Kagome was like a little sister and a good friend to her she wouldn't know what to do if anything were to happen to her. Miroku walked over bending down to her, he let Sango put her head on his shoulder. The only thing he could offer was his support.

Shippo walked away he wanted to be alone for now. He knew something happened to her. The night she lifted him up off the sleeping bag he woke up. If he knew she would've came up missing he would've went with her. He felt bad about not following her he knew he didn't do anything wrong, but still wished he could go back and follow her. He was afraid of what Inuyasha and the others would say if he told them this, but he knew he needed to it might help them some what. So he walked back over to the others. "Hey you guys I have something to tell you that I should of told you sooner. You see the night she came up missing she picked me up and put me on the sleeping bag. I knew she left but didn't think anything about it. After he told them that he started to cry.

Sango let go of Miroku and walked over to him. She embraced him in a tight hug. "Shippo it is all right when Inuyasha gets back we will tell him this so that we may go back and check out the cave agin." Sango said while still huging the kitsue. Shippo started to feel better but missed his mother. He wanted Inuyasha to hurry up and get back so then can look for her agin.

Inuyasha stepped in to the well house agin. His eye's down casted. 'Kagome where are you? Why have you been gone so long? Are you hurt some where and need me?' All the questions fulled his head. He felt bad because that night he went to follow the smell of Kikyo and if he hadn't she would probably still be with them. ' I will find you im srry I had to lie to your family, but it is better they do not know that I lost you. ' Inuyasha jumped down the well to go back to the others he knew if he didn't find Kagome soon he would go mad.

The others seen Inuyasha up out of the old well. They noticed the sad look on his face. She had not been there at all. Agin there hearts fell, but hoped that what Shippo said would lighten the mood a little. Inuyasha looked up at them no words were spoken because they all ready knew. "Inuyasha we may think that Kagome have got lost in the cave we were at. It might be possiable we over looked something. We all agree we should go back one more time to look." Miroku said while watching the hanyous actions. A glimer of hope shown in his eyes.

"Lets head back to the village we should get some more suplies since Kagome is not with us." Inuyasha turned no one seen it but he had a small smile on his face. Yes there may be a good chance that they didn't look good enough in the cave. His feet moved by themself taking him on the past he traveled for so long. The others almost having to run to keep up with him.

They soon left the village having all they needed the elder miko didn't like what she heard, but wished them luck in finding her. So Inuyasha moved at a very fast pace the others had to get one the fire neko just to keep up with him. They got there in a fews day time.

Having been pushed they settled in the same spot as before. In the mornign they would contuine the search for her. Right now they were just to tired. Making camp they all soon fell asleep. Each dreaming to find a clue to what happened to Kagome.

Inuyasha woke in the middle of the night when a horrable scent filled his nose. He looked around the campsite to see when the scent was coming from. About to steps from Sango stood a dark creature his eyes held the color of blood. His fangs dripping slime from his mouth. He had a hungery in his eyes that chilled Inuyasha blood. He moved behind the creature careful not to let the creature see him. He tackle the creature to the ground the sound waking everyone.

When Sango saw what was about five feet from her she wanted to scream. The creature was ugly. He looked to be a lizard creature dark green in color with those chilling eyes and the smell he gave off was enough for even human to smell. He smelled like rotting flesh. Sango got away from the tumbling that headed her way. She grabbed her weapon she stood in battle mode really for anything. Miroku not far behind her. Shippo climed on Sangos shoulder to see what was happening.

Inuyasha attackled the lizard youkai till he was not moving anymore. "Who are you and why was you going to attack Sango." Inauysha seen that he was not going to answer and dug his right hand claws to his shoulder. The youkai cried out in pain. "Naraku sent me he told me to kill you guys and get the jewel shards from you. I thought that, that girl was her. Plus she just looked so tasty." He had a nasty smile on his face.

Inuyasha then knew that Naraku had not taking Kagome so she may still be around her just lost. He dug his claws deeper in to the youkais shoulder agin a cry of pain was heard. "Tell me where Naraku is hiding and I might not kill you." Inuyasha had a smug look on his face. He would be worth waiting to see if this youkai had any information for him.

"Naraku did not tell me or show me his location, but the olny other thing I can tell you is that he is hiding somewhere around here. That is what I have heard from the other youkai around here." Inuyasha let the youkai go and told him to leave his sight. Not waiting for a second word the youkai ran. Inuyasha pondered if the youkai was telling the truth.

"Hey Miroku do you think he was telling the truth?" Miroku pondered that same question himself. The youkai had no reason to lie less, he was afraid of Naraku killing him. He really couldn't be sure if he was telling the truth. Sango thought all of this was a trap and wanted to get her hands on that youkai making sure to remember what he looked like she promised herself that if she came across him agin he wouldn't be walking away like Inuyasha let him.

"Inuyasha I am not sure, but since we are all up I think we should get started looking for Kagome. Day break is not that far anyways." Miroku said while heading towards the entrance to the cave. The others agreed that Miroku was right and followed him in the cave. They really wondered if Naraku was near by.

When they walked in the cave a light scent of Kagomes was still there but just a little of it. Inuyasha ran over placing his nose on the ground following where the scent lead. In the back of the cave led to different ways he followed the scent that was the strongest. It led him down in to the center of the cave. He looked down a bit to late before he give a warning not to follow him the ground caved in under them taking them to the floor below the one they was on.

Getting up of Miroku Sango gave a hand to help him up and Miroku doing the same for Inuyasha. They looked around to see where they were. Inuyasha picked up Kagomes scent agin he followed it to a wall it looked like the wall have once been a small passage to the other side of the cave floor. The closer he got the more he had to cover his nose. There under all the rocks laid a body close to the one he meet earlier. This one was dead he guess it was from the cave in.

Questions started to form in his mind agin. 'Did she get trapped, was this man after her, is she on the other side.' The last thought made him take out his sword. Not even thinking of another cave in he cut his way through the wall digging up rocks and throughing them at the others. Miroku was so close to Sangos bottom just and inch from it when a rock landed on his head. Miroku who by now was used to being hit sure it hurt but he didn't pass out. Plus he reminded himself this was not the time to do stuff like that.

Sango tried not to laugh but busted out laughing she had tears at the corner of her eyes the same with Shippo. "Im glad someone is having fun." Miroku said while having a pouting face on. Inuyasha igored the others and keep inching closer to the other side. He finally made it when another sound beside laughter could be heard a loud rumbling sound. "Shit get across the passage now!" Inuyasha hollard, everyone got to the other side. Had they waited any longer one of them would be laying under the rocks like the other guy.

When they got to this side the room was much smaller. Inuyasha found her scent and begain to follow it. Soon they were knee high in water Shippo being on Inuyashas shoulders. Inuyasha was having trouble keeping Kagomes scent. Foward they moved till they seen a light. The water got deep here and they were starting to get picked up by the current in the water. Inuyasha tripped over a hiden rock and fell in the water luckly Miroku grabbed him before he shot out the cliff in to the water fall below. When they all looked down they were in shock. The water fall was huge they was sure no one could've surived from that.

"Don't I all ready know what your going to say so save it she didn't come this way she wouldn't." The more he tried to tell them the more he knew that was what happened Kagome must of tripped and fell into the water fall. He knew she still lived he had a gut feeling about it, but there was still doubts about it also. "The most we can do now is find another way off this cliff. Kilala jumped out of Sangos arms and grew big.

"Thank you Kilala it will just be for a short time till we get down off this clift." Sango was glad she had a friend like that to help out. Then everyone climbed on her back they flew down the waters edge looking for signs that Kagome had come through there. When they got to the bottom and seen there was rocks Sango wanted to cry. ' Kagome I hope you are all right and we can find you soon.'

They landed near the bed of the lake in front of them. Behind them they heard a low growl wondering what Inuyasha was growling at they asked him. "Inuyasha is there something wrong." Miroku looked worried Inuyasha never acted like this unless Sesshoumaru once been here or is near by. He waited for Inuyasha to give him an answer he only hoped it wasn't what he thought it was.

"Sesshoumaru has been around here and I know who has Kagome now. Kagomes scent is mixed with his and of the small child he lets run with him. I thought I smelled something more back at the cave now I know I did. What was her name Rin, yes she is mixed with Kagomes scent as well." Inuyasha knew it was time to find his brother and asked what happened to Kagome. The others did not fight with him about it, but wondered what he would want with Kagome.

The others could only follow behind him as he moved very fast. They followed the scent for about two days but lost it that night. "Inuyasha I know you are worried for her, but please we need to rest you been driving us like slaves." Miroku said while leaning up agaist a near by tree trunk. Sango and shippo agreed while Kilala mewed.

"Fine if you can't keep up then wait here. I will be back in a while I seemed to have loast his scent anyways." With that he took off heading in to the woods to look for fire wood and dinner. The others set the camp up wating for Inuyasha to return. Inuyasha took his time trying to calm his racing heart. He needed to see her agin to make sure she was all right. 'Sesshoumaru I have a feeling the next time we meet someone is not walking away and I intend on it to be you.' Inuyasha finshed up the hunt and gathered the wood. He headed back to the camp. He didn't know eyes was watching him the whole time.
