Chapter 1


Kagome Taisho stood up and stretched. The first day of summer vacation. She smiled to herself as she busied herself in getting all of her “borrowed” textbooks.

Her room had posters of Slipknot, Korn, Linkin Park, and random faeries. Her walls were light lavender with a white ceiling. Her carpet was beige and thick and soft and up to her ankles, causing her to sink in it if she stood in one place for to long. Her bedroom, closet and bathroom doors were mahogany and the inside of her bedroom door was decorated with stars and little crescent moons.

Kagome set the stack of books on her desk and grabbed her lush green towel and padded to the bathroom that was connected to her room.

She had a Jacuzzi sized bath against the wall, and a shower in the corner with a velvet feeling shower curtain with a picture of black tailed mermaid. She had it for so long she didn't want to give it up. Plus she loved to touch it; to trace her fingers along the mermaid's tail.

Her bathroom floor was made of 100% pure black marble. In fact almost everything in her bathroom was made of marble. From her sink counter to the shower floor to the toilet; Kagome Taisho loved marble.

Kagome walked over to her tub and turned on the hot water. Then the cold. After adjusting her water to the exact temperature she loved, she peeled off her clothes and stepped into the water. She sighed in joy as she sank back into the hot water. Her blue eyes closed and she sank beneath the water to get her hair wet.

She reemerged and grabbed the bottle of unscented shampoo. She, her twin, and their older half-brother, along with their parents had very sensitive noses. So Kagome stuck with unscented items; as to allow everyone to smell her natural scent of soft rainfall; not some flowery junk that burned the inside of every youkai's nose within 20 miles.

She rubbed the shampoo into her medium length black hair and hummed “Imaginary” by Evanescence. After she was done, she dunked back under the water to rinse out her shampooed hair. While she was under the water she didn't hear the door to her bedroom open and close quietly.

She surfaced and reached for her conditioner. Through her humming and her deep concentration, she didn't hear the intruder walk to the bathroom door. She reached for her unscented body wash and stood up to wash herself when she saw her twin appear in the doorway.

“Uh..?” was all Inuyasha could say as he blushed.

“Inuyasha!” Kagome screamed, as she quickly sat back into the water to cover herself.

“Um, I'm...sorry?”

“Get out!” A bottle of conditioner flew at Inuyasha, missing him by centimeters.

“Hey! You don't have to be so rude about it!” Inuyasha snapped.

“I said: get OUT!” Kagome shrieked as she hurled a bottle of shampoo at him.

“Ok, fine, geez!” Inuyasha stormed out after the bottle hit him square in the forehead.

Kagome stood up and washed herself as quickly as she could, and still feel clean, so no more interruptions would ruin her bath. She grabbed her towel and wrapped it around her so it looked like a strapless green dress. She took her toothbrush and put Extreme Clean toothpaste on it and began to scrub her teeth free of any plague and food particles that might've gotten stuck and missed the last time she brushed her teeth; last night.

She spit into the sink and poured herself a glass of water. Swishing the water around in her mouth she made sure she didn't miss any toothpaste. She spit out the water and proceeded to free her toothbrush from the toothpaste and rinse out the sink from any toothpaste.

That being done, she walked over to her tub, reached in and felt around for the plug. When her fingers touched it, she laughed in her small victory and pulled it out. She left it out while she went back to her room and went to shut the door that Inuyasha so rudely left open.

She shut and locked the door, so no more intrusions would interrupt her, and looked at the mirror on her closet door.

Kagome had hair that was so dark that it was actually tinted blue. Her hair went down to her lower back. Kagome had a tail; but unlike her half-brother's it was a cat tail. Her cat tail was midnight blue and actually had an eight point star near the end. Her eyes were also odd. Everyone else, even her step-mother Aoi, had golden or amber eyes, but Kagome had sapphire eyes. Her claws were as long as her half-brothers, which were about an inch long and her's were painted with golden nail polish. Her toes wore the same shade of polish. Kagome's skin was pale, but not white like her friend Kagura's.

Kagome sighed and opened her closet door and pulled out a pair of camouflage cargo pants, a black shirt with a black and white sparkly motorcycle with a red sparkly cross behind it. On top there was red lined black-and-white letters saying “Wild child” and beneath the first inscription was “Brat” all in white. Directly below the motorcycle was a red lined inscription. “Step Aside Boys” it read in white italics.

Kagome went over to her dresser and pulled out her matching bra and panties. Running back over to the door to be certain in was in fact locked Kagome dropped her towel and dressed herself. When she was done, she went to her closet again and knelt down and grabbed her black Mudd Gainers®.

Kagome ran back over to her dresser and looked in her sock drawer.

“What the-?” Kagome growled at the sight of an empty drawer and unlocked and opened her door. She ran out into the hallway to her older half-brother's room. She barged in, not unlike Inuyasha, and ran past him, still sleeping in his king-sized bed. She looked around for his dresser.

`Hm, it's hard to see anything with it being so dark in here.' She thought. A wicked grin spread over her face as she made her way to the curtains blocking the sun's rays from entering his room.

“Kagome, what are you doing?” Inuyasha hissed as he walked into their brother's room.

“Giving Fluffy a wake up call.” She hissed back. Inuyasha grinned and they both grabbed an end of the curtains.

“One...” he whispered.

“Two....” she whispered.

There was a brief pause.

“Three!” they both screamed.

This immediately roused Sesshomaru from his slumber and he glared at them before they scrambled, still holding the curtains in their hands. Inuyasha tripped over Kagome's tail and she yelped as they both fell down in a tangle of curtains. While the twins struggled to break free of their soft nonsexual bondage.

“Maybe it never occurred to you two that I would eventually realize that you do this to me; every single day of my life.” Sesshomaru said as he grabbed his clothes and went into the bathroom to shower and change.

Kagome began to bite through the curtains while Inuyasha just ripped them apart. Finally, they sprung free and Kagome grabbed a pair of Sesshomaru's black socks. Inuyasha however, snuck into the bathroom and shut the door behind him. And then he did one of the worst things you can do to Sesshomaru while he is in the shower; Inuyasha flushed the toilet.

Kagome closed her eyes as she heard Inuyasha's cries of pain and finally the breaking of the door as Sesshomaru threw him through it. Kagome couldn't help but laugh as she opened her eyes to see a soaking wet Inuyasha who was sticking out of a hole through the door.

“Here, let me help.” She laughed as she grabbed Inuyasha by the hair and pulled him out. Inuyasha stood and brushed himself off.

“I'm ok.” Inuyasha made a show of sticking his middle finger up at the door and when he turned around to face Kagome the door fell on his head. All Kagome saw was Inuyasha's head sticking out from another hole in the door. It was too much for the hanyou. She ran out of the room screaming with laughter.

“Kagome! Help me!” Inuyasha shouted. Kagome came back, breathing heavily and went to help him when Sesshomaru stepped on the door and pushed Inuyasha to the ground. Sesshomaru walked over Inuyasha and left his room to inform somebody of his door. Kagome covered her mouth and fell to the ground.

After twenty minutes of Kagome laughing nonstop, she picked up the door and pulled Inuyasha out from under it.

“Gee, it's about time!” Inuyasha growled at his twin. Kagome just laughed and ran from the room. Inuyasha followed and tripped over Jaken who was carrying a new bathroom door. Jaken moaned as Inuyasha dented the door and broke off the doorknob.

“Oh why is it always me?” Jaken asked the Kamis as he turned around to get a new door.

Kagome sat on the front porch and pulled on Sesshomaru's socks and her Mudd Gainers®. It was 12:3pm and Kagome had never felt more excited.

“Hey Sessho; Inu!” Kagome called. Sesshomaru walked out dragging a box.

“Ano, what the hell is that?”

“A box.”

Kagome glared at her half-brother and he smirked and opened the box. Kagome peered inside it and laughed softly as she saw a sleeping Inuyasha nestled with a CD player.

“How'd you get him in there?” Kagome inquired.

“I put a hundred dollar bill in the box and he jumped in. Stupidly, he didn't realize that our new step-mother placed seals on the box and all I had to do was close the lid.”

“Wouldn't you get hurt, too?”

Sesshomaru held up his hand and Kagome winced at the sight of his charred hand. “It's healing.” He said as her gentle fingers touched the wound gingerly.

“Come on; we have to get to the others for the book burning!” Inuyasha yawned as he woke up. Kagome nodded and she and Sesshomaru grabbed one of Inuyasha's hands and pulled him out of the box.

Kagome grabbed the set of books on the porch and the three Taisho kids got ready to meet their friends at Lake Tamashii.
