Someone left a review (I deleted it by accident ^_^;) that caught my attention about “Echo” My most recent one shot.

 

I remember him saying “you didn't do (Kagome) Justice.” And I thought his opinion was greatly needed. I really wasn't clear on the situation between Kagome and Sesshomaru, but I'll tell u this, she was NOT being wimpy by running to him, in fact she didn't run to him at all.

 

 

I don't want to give you great detail, because I'm writing the “prequel” to it as we speak. If you follow the Japanese manga, then you will know that The Inu-Gumi and Sesshomaru become less like enemies and more like allies, because of there similar goal.

 

I'll explain this much about my story: InuYasha realized that he couldn't love Kagome because apart of him will AWAYS see her as kikyou, the one who he let down. As a paradox, he loves her too much to let her in because of what happened to the last woman he loved. Kagome knowing this, has half heartedly given up on a life with him, and has accepted that the love will not be returned.

 

Sesshomaru, on the other hand, doesn't quite love her either, just an understanding on how it feels to lose love (or potential love) for ANY reason, and because of how he has changed mentally (in the manga) he can put his pride aside and confine in her.

 

Kagome didn't run to Sesshomaru, it was all just by chance. Naraku HAS been killed in this, so this is the aftermath of all. In my opinion, True feelings and spur of the moment feelings tend to get mixed up during intense situations, so for the relationship between Kag/Inu during the whole Naraku ordeal was misunderstood.

 

Come on now ppl! I couldn't really have such a happy ending! The anime series gives us enough of that.
