After her little conversation with Hanyou1659 she decided to call Sango. She got up from her chair at the desk and went to go find her cell. She called Sango and after about 2 rings, she answered.

“Yellow?”

“Why do you insist on answering the phone like that?”

“I dunno, It's fun?”

Kagome giggled.

“What's up Kagome?”

“Well, uh, I just talked to my e-mail buddy.”

“Oooooooh, how'd it go?” Sango asked now giving Kagome her full attention.

“It went fine, he had to get off before we could really get to talk.”

“Bummer.”

“Yeah, have you talked to yours yet?”

“No, I've really got nothing to say.”

“Sango, just write an email telling them about yourself… just not any specific details, you want to remain anonymous.” Kagome told her friend.

“Yeah, I know. It's just I really don't get the point of all this.”

“I know what you mean, I guess the school counselors figured if we won't talk to them about our problems we'd tell them to a complete stranger that's about our age.”

Kagome said with a laugh.

“Yeah. OH! Guess what!”

“Hm?”

“Kikyo asked Inuyasha out!”

“Kikyo? You mean the girl who sleeps around?”

“Yep, I think she's asking him to homecoming too.”

“Oh.” Kagome said crestfallen.

“Kagome? You don't really think Inuyasha would go for a girl like her… Do you? Miroku would probably but, I don't think Inuyasha would stoop that low.”

“Yeah, I guess. Sango I'll see you tomorrow. I'm getting kinda tired.” Kagome said forcing a yawn.

“Alright, later chikky.”

“Bye.” With that Kagome hung up her phone and flopped down on her bed.

`What if Inuyasha goes out with Kikyo…'

She shook the thought away. Kagome didn't want to think about that right now.

The next day at school Kagome went through the usual morning routine. Then headed next door to get Sango.

She knocked on the front door. It opened to reveal Sango's little brother Kohaku.

“Hey Kagome!” Kohaku said giving her a hug.

“Hey buddy, how's it goin'?”

“Great! Want me to go get Sango?”

“Yes please.” Kagome said with a smile as Kohaku went off to find his sister.

Sango came down the stairs and grabbed a piece of toast before heading out with Kagome.

“Hey girl, ready for another day of school?”

“Yeah I guess…”

“You still worried about the whole Kikyo thing?”

“No…well…Sort of…Never mind.”

“Okay…”

Just then Miroku and Inuyasha came bounding up to them.

“Why Sango! You're a vision today!” Miroku cooed.

“Shove it, pervert.” Sango said in an eerily calm voice.

“I'm just saying…” Miroku countered.

“So, you guys talk to your email buddie's last night?” Kagome asked trying to lighten the mood.

“Why, yes! I sent mine an email- but they didn't reply” Miroku said with a pout.

“I don't have time for that shit.” Inuyasha stated.

“I talked to mine last night, but he had to go.” Kagome said.

“He? It was a boy?” Miroku asked with a sly grin.

“Yeah, I think so. We didn't really get to talk, on account of him going offline.”

“Why do you even bother?” Inuaysha said.

“Because I'd like to get to know this person. I planned to make more friends this year!” Kagome said hotly. “You got a problem with that?”

“N-No… It's just I don't think spilling your guts out to a complete stranger is the best idea!” Inuyasha yelled.

“WHO SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THAT?!” Kagome was pissed now. “And besides! If you were even listening to a word I've said! He had to go before we could get to talk! BAKA!” Kagome all but screamed.

“Feh, Women…” Inuyasha said.

“WHATS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!” Kagome's face was a deep crimson.

“I-I-I…uh…. uh…” Inuyasha gulped, he was in for it now!

“Inuyasha! Darling!” Kikyo came out of nowhere and hugged him.

Inuyasha just stood there shocked.

“Um..Hi Kikyo.” Inuyasha said confused.

Kikyo looked at Kagome and sneered.

“Hello Kagome, sorry but I just had to say hello to my boyfriend.” She said tweaking his cheek for emphasis.

“Kikyo, I'm not your boyfriend.” Inuyasha said in a ticked off tone.

“Awe, don't be shy Inu honey! They'll find out sooner or later!” Kikyo said in a sickly sweet voice.

“Um..I better get going. I have to get some stuff out of my locker before it's too late.” Kagome said trying not to let her jealousy show. She turned on her heels and started walking towards the school building.

“Wait Kagome!” Inuyasha said practically chiseling Kikyo off his body.

He ran over to Kagome, and grabbed her elbow.

“Kikyo and I aren't going out.” Inuyasha stated.

“Okay…” Kagome said.

“Just thought you might want to know that. By the way, are you free Saturday? I have these tickets for the new movie `Stay Alive'. I was going to take Miroku but his dad has a dinner party and Miroku has to be there.”

“Uh, sure I guess.” Kagome said smiling.

“Cool. See you in Homeroom.”

“`Kay.”

The rest of the day went by in a blur. As soon as she got home she went up to her room to check her emails. She got one from Hanyou1659. She opened it and read:

 

Shikon,

Hey, Sorry I had to get off so early last night. Anyways, I think I should tell you a bit about myself, since that's most likely what this little program was made for so here goes. I'm a senior, and I will most likely go to a community college, as my grades aren't Harvard or Yale worthy. I like pistachio Ice cream. I hate football; I never really got the concept. I have a half brother whose a jerk, and that's pretty much about it as far as personal goes. So what about you? What are your interests? Oh and by the way my favorite color is Red, so, I guess you can call me Red or Hanyou or whatever.

Kagome stared at the screen. Wow, this guy really threw this stuff out there. Might as well do the same. It's not like we'll ever meet. She opened a new messege and started to type:

 

Red,

It's cool that you had to leave so early. I don't really know where to start explaining myself. I'm a senior too my grades are pretty normal. I despise math with a passion and I will probably go to a community college as well. My favorite Ice cream would have to be Double fudge brownie. I don't know if I hate football, I've never really watched it. I have a younger brother whose a pest. My favorite color is Pink so you can call me…Pinky? Lol I don't know. Whatever fits your liking. I'll talk to you later.

`There, now to send it'

She sent it and leaned back in her chair. She went to go get her cell phone to call Sango.

It rang 4 times before she picked up.

“Hello?”

“Hey”

“Oh hi Kagome! Sorry, didn't get the chance to see who called. What's up?”

“Not much. I got an email from my email buddy.”

“Cool, what did he say?”

“Well, he told me a bit about himself, and so we could be less formal he's going to call me Pinky and I'm calling him Red.”

“Awe! How sweet!”

“Sweet?”

“Yeah! Your on an almost first name basis now!”

“Uh… have you been into those fruit smelly markers again, because you know what they do to you…”

“Oh shut your trap. Besides I threw those out, well, except the grape one. It smells too good.”

Kagome and Sango took a pause then started laughing.

“So, about this morning. What did Inuyasha wanna talk about? He left Kikyo in kind of a hurry.”

“He um…He wanted to know if I wanted to go to the movies with him...” Kagome said holding the phone away from her ear as Sango squealed.

“What did you say?!”

“I said I'd go…”

“Then what did he say?”

“Uhm…See you then?”

“Omg Omg Omg Omg Omg!!! This is SO awesome!” Sango yelled into the phone.

“Yeah Yeah whatever.”

“You have to let me come over and help you pick out an outfit!”

“Sango, Inuyasha and I are going as friends. The only reason he's taking me is because Miroku's dad is having a work party and he can't miss it.”

“Oh…” Sango said obviously crestfallen. “But he asked you instead of me! That has to mean something.” Sango said.

“Fine, fine. When will you be here to help me pick out a dress?”

“You mean from your present wardrobe?”

“Yeah…Uh…duh!” Kagome said becoming annoyed.

“No, no, no! We have to get you a new outfit! I'll even buy it!”

“Fine. I have to go, see you tomorrow.”

“Alright, bye.” Sango said.

“Bye.” Kagome said clicking off her phone.

Kagome laid down on her bed and as soon as she closed her eyes, she heard a ding!

It was coming from her computer.

She had mail…
