An indignant Kagome shouted up to the scantily dressed demoness. “You are comparing my hair to his?!” She cast a scandalized look at Inuyasha;'s hair before turning back to their opponent. “Sure it's such a pretty color but it's so rough! Gross!”
A pause.
The demoness cast an unsure glance at the hanyou's hair before facing the miko. “Well…it is such a nice color….”
Kagome humph-ed while she crossed her arms over her chest, pouting off to the side away from the two youkai. “I take care of my hair every chance I get!” Her glare was sent Inuyasha's way over her shoulder. “Unlike beastie here who could care less that a woman must take care of her assets.”
Yura drew herself up into a contemplative position; hand rubbing her chin softly in thought and glancing between the two shard gatherers. “Now that you mention it....”
Kagome smiled slightly I a smug way as she faced the female demon. “I have the best of the best when it comes to my hair. See the texture?!?” She held up a thick strand of her raven locks, fingering her hair as she did.
A pause as Yura looked closer. “You know it is rather nice…”
Kagome smiled proudly. “Thank you.” Yura smile slightly and took a step closer, raising her hand up fro her side.
Inuyasha's muffled struggles hardly reached the two women as they conversed in the feminine code.
“Can I…?”
Kagome smiled. “Go ahead.” She offered the strand up to the demon where she squealed and took it.
“Oooh it is soft!” Yura exclaimed, smiling brightly and combing her fingers through the thick raven strands that adorned this humans head.
A grin was her answer.
Yura turned curious. “What treatment is this?”
“Oh, you know y-lang y-lang, peppermint…common herbs really.”
“Herbs you say?” Yura got stars in her eyes as she still played with Kagome's hair.
“Mhmm.” Kagome stroked one finger through Yura's hair with a gleam in her eye.
A squeal came from Yura. “Oh, I must get the names of these herbs!” Her chattering didn't end there, expounding upon the hair-care techniques she already knew and loved. And the techniques she hated, and the techniques she has seen, and the techniques that…well, you get the picture.
And so they stood together and felt the silkiness of each others hair and chattered away as the sunset and the stupefied not-quite-so-bishi-with-rough-silver-hair-Inuyasha watched on.
The end.
