A/N: Greetings readers and reviewers!!! I hope you all like the fanfic so far. And I know that you guys probably want Kagome and Inuyasha to meet soon and fall in love and all that…but actually, they're not in the spotlight for a few more chapters.

First we are focusing on Rin and Sesshy, then on Miroku and Sango's conversations in a chat room. Then Kagome and Inuyasha finally talk. I know it seems like a long time, but at least it's something, right?

Anyway, some good and bad news. I have a job!!! WHOO-HOO MONEY!!! But the bad news is I won't be able to update as frequently. I'll hopefully get at least one a week, or one every two weeks, depends, ya know?

Anywho, enough blabbering, on with the fanfic!!!

"Hi, Kagome? This is Kouga. Look, I know you don't want to talk to me, but please! At least let me explain! Please!! It's not what it looked like, I swear to you!! You're the only one for me, Kagome, and -"

Kagome grabbed the cord and unplugged the answering machine.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're the only one for me, but I wanna get inside this other girl's pants, because I love you sooo much," Kagome said mockingly as she logged in on her computer.

She sighed and rested her head on her hands as she watched the little hourglass drop sand and spin, drop sand and spin, drop sand and spin.

`Why does Kouga have to lie to me? Why can't he just give up to the truth!?! He's called fourteen times today. What is WRONG with him!?!'

"You have three new e-mails," her automatic on-line e-mail voice announced.

Kagome double clicked on the `Internet Explorer' icon and waited for it to load up.

"And I think to myself, what a wonderful world," Kagome sung softy to herself as hotmail appeared on the screen and the number 3 was highlighted. She sighed and clicked on it and her inbox appeared and said.

"1 new message(s) from: `A Wise Monkey Never Monkies Around With Other Monkey's, Monkey!'"

`1 new message(s) from: `Fashion Is On Our Minds, Being Cuties Is Our Kind, So Step Aside And Let Us Through, Cuz It's All About Me And My Cute Ass Crew'

"1 new message(s) from: `If Love Is Around the Corner, I Must Be Walking In Circles'

`Another e-mail from Kouga.'

Kagome noticed the messages from Rin and Sango and smiled, "Don't they have anything better to do than go on their computers?" she asked aloud.

`Don't you?'

Kagome shrugged away the question and clicked on the message from Rin.

Hi Kaggy, sorry, but just thought I'd tell ya that I can't go in my chat room later cuz I'm going to get my nails done. I'll call u and Sango when I'm back from my date with Sesshoumaru.

Kagome smiled and laughed at Rin.

`When she's determined, she goes all out,' Kagome thought merrily.

She clicked on the message from Sango and sat back in her chair to read:

Hey Kags, Kohaku went over to Shippo's house for the night, would you mind if I came over? If yes, thanks a lot, if no, TOO DAMN BAD!!! Ha! Just kidding. Thnx Kag!

"Not like I'd have the chance to say `no'. Of all things she'll probably be at my door."

Kagome laughed, "I'm sure that's her. The idiot."

She got up and went to answer the door. When she opened it, Houjou was standing there with his hands in his pockets, looking down the hall.

"Houjou?"

Houjou looked at Kagome and smiled, "Hi, Higurashi."

"Hi, how are you?"

"Not too bad, I wanted to know if you would, uh, like to go see a movie tonight?"

"Oh, I'm really sorry, but I have someone coming over."

"Oh?" Houjou said. Kagome could tell by the look on his face and sound of his voice that he thought it was a boy.

"It's my friend, Sango, you remember her, don't you?" "Sorry, but no. Anyway, don't worry about it. Here,"

Houjou said handing Kagome a package of low fat Ramen, "I heard that girls like this stuff," he said with a smile.

`You would've had better luck with flowers,' Kagome thought annoyed.

"Th-thanks, Houjou."

"No problem," he said smiling and waving to her from down the hall.

Kagome shut the door behind her and leaned against it. She ran a hand through her hair and looked at the package in her hand.

"Yuck!" she shouted as she tossed it on the floor and watched it skid into the kitchen. "That stuff is gross," Kagome said grossed out.

----->Knock-Knock<-----

"Who is it?" Kagome called as she picked herself up.

"Health inspector."

Kagome held her hand on the knob and scrunched up her nose. "What?"

"It's me you idiot!!"

Kagome opened the door and there stood Sango, her purple adias gym bag was hung over her shoulder, her pillow was under her arm and sleeping bag hauled over her shoulder.

"You gonna let me in, or what ?" Sango quipped. Kagome laughed and grabbed the sleeping bag from Sango and walked inside and dropped her stuff in the kitchen.

"Health inspector?" Kagome finally asked with an eyebrow raised and hands on her hips. Sango laughed, "I was just messin' with ya." "I kinda figured."

"Hey? What's this stuff?" Sango asked picking up the package of Low Fat Ramen that was lying underneath a chair in the kitchen.

"Oh, a gift from Houjou," Kagome said fetching two cans of Coca Cola from the fridge. "Oh, really?" Sango said sitting herself down in a chair and opening the can Kagome gave her. "Thanks." "No prob." Kagome nodded.

"I don't think anyone in their right mind likes those things," she stopped talking to take a sip of Coke. "I mean, no one is that stupid or that idiotic enough to like those things. If they did they'd be complete morons."

"They taste good with eggs, actually," Sango replied nonchalantly.

Kagome shrugged, "Have you heard from Rin?"

"She's on her date now isn't she?" "No, she's getting her nails done. She goes on her date in about fifteen minutes. You think she's nervous?" Kagome asked.

"Excited of all things. Why?"

"I dunno, she's on a date with that Sesshoumaru guy. And she's only met the guy twice." "But she's talked to him for three months on-line," Sango said swallowing with a large gulp.

"True. But, have you ever spoken to him?"

"Nope, you?"

"Never."

Kagome finished her drink and squished up the can, Sango smiled at her friend.

"You're not worried about her, are ya, Kag?"

"A little. I mean, she doesn't really know this guy." "Kag, you're paranoid. Calm down. She'll be fine. She's a feisty little bastard."

Kagome laughed. "Yeah, you're right. She is."

Rin was just adding the finishing touches to her make up. Sesshoumaru had told her to dress up nice, `cause he was taking her to one of his favorite restaurants. Normally, she didn't even bother with a lot of make-up, maybe just a light shade of eye shadow and mascara with some lip gloss and she'd go out the door. Sometimes just lip gloss. But she wanted to look really nice for the restaurant, and of course to be noticed by Sesshoumaru too.

Rin was wearing the Annabella dress with her mother's favorite diamond necklace. She wore it everywhere before she passed away. It was made of a decorative medium sized triangle that sparkled and shone with beauty and greatness that hung on a beautiful silver chain. Rin wore her own diamond earrings to match and smiled at herself in the mirror.

"I look good!" Rin said happily with a grin planted on her face. "I'm so excited!"

Rin sat at her vanity table in her pink ornamented room. On it was make-up, hairbrushes, hair elastics and a picture of her mother that was taken at her birthday, a week before she died. She was only 39.

Rin held the picture in her hands and gazed upon her mother's face. It was in a gold crusted frame that belonged to Rin's grandmother. And the picture was of her mother on her birthday.

Her twinkling coffee eyes shone with power and magnitude on her slender, superior face. Her cheeks were a soft hue of pink, and her face was a creamy tanned complexion.

"I miss you, Mommy," Rin muttered under her voice. "I miss you so much. Why did you have to go? I wish you were here."

Rin sighed and kissed the picture dearly. "You'd love Sesshoumaru. He's everything, minus some human emotions, but he's everything that I like. He's really attractive. He's got money too, but I couldn't care. You'd love him, anyway."

----->Ding-Dong<-----

Rin looked out her open door and down the stilted hallway as she saw a figure standing on the opposite side of her scarlet front door.

"That would be him," Rin said happily. She kissed the picture once again and put it back where it normally resided.

Rin put on her black high heels that made her look at least a foot taller. She walked down the hall and grabbed her light jacket. She draped it over her shoulders and looked back down the hall to the darkness of her room.

"Wish me luck, Mama," Rin whispered.

Suddenly a giant wave of excitement took over Rin as she looked in the hallway mirror and made sure that her French Roll wasn't anything less than perfect. She stood in front of the door and felt a tingle of happiness as she opened the door, to see Sesshoumaru standing in the main hallway, basking in the final rays of the setting sun from the large window just outside her door.

Kagome and Sango had planned on renting movies off satellite later. But first, Sango said that she wanted to check to see if anyone was in Rin's chat room. Because Rin had made Kagome and Sango hosts as well.

"Is anyone there?" Kagome asked bringing in a bag of Hot and Spicy Doritos.

"No, just me," Sango sighed disappointedly. "Oh, and you never told me about what you and Rin were talking about in the hallway this morning, remember? About you swearing at some person?"

Sango chuckled, "Oh yeah! Well, I met this guy in a chat room, he's a real idiot, but he can be sweet, sort of. He's a complete pervert, asking if I wanna have cyber sex." "Ew!" cried Kagome as she sat on the chair she brought in from the kitchen. "Tell me about it. And he always asks if I'll bear his child. He's a total ass!"

"What's his name?" Kagome asked over a mouth full of Doritos. "Those aren't spicy are they?" Kagome shook her head.

"Oh, I don't know his name. But I've talked to him a couple of times. Are you sure these aren't spicy?" Kagome shook her head again. Sango shrugged and shoved a handful of them into her mouth.

"AH! These are HOT!!!!!" Sango shrieked as she jumped out of the chair and into the kitchen.

"I meant one isn't hot!!!" Kagome laughed.

She heard the water in the kitchen sink running and laughed. She moved over into the computer chair and saw that someone had entered the chat room.

`Who's the freak?' Kagome wondered with an eyebrow.

"Hey, Kagome?" Sango called walking back into the room, "Do you…HEY!! He's on!!" Sango said running to the computer and shooing Kagome out of the chair.

"This is him!?! He's an idiot, I'm sure he's fifty years old!

"Butterfly Cream Cheese Muffin?" Kagome mumbled out over the crunch of the Doritos.

"He's such a jackass," Sango replied shaking her head.

`It's nothing to get worked up over!!' she thought disapprovingly.

Kagome gasped and began to laugh. "Aw, Sango getting all upset because her could-be-an-eighty-year-old-geezer-or-an-axe-murderer-on-line boyfriend is being an idiot?" Kagome said mockingly while laughing.

Sango scrunched up her nose and her eyes turned into slits. She turned her head and glared at Kagome.

"You better shut it," she warned. "Oooo, I'm so frightened," Kagome said after stuffing her mouth with chips. "You better be!!" Sango yelled. "Why?" Kagome asked, crumbs flying from her mouth. "'Cause I'm gonna get you!!" Sango shouted reaching for Kagome.

Kagome screamed and scrambled out of her chair. She ran out of the room, Doritos held tightly in her fist.

"AH! Sango!!" Kagome cried with laughter, "Stop!!"

"Get back here, you little goody-goody!!" Sango cried out with hilarity.

"GOODY-GOODY!?!"

Kagome stopped running and stood still, glaring at Sango, "No one calls me a goody-goody and lives to tell the tale!!"

Sango stopped, "Then how come your brother's still alive? He always calls you a goody-goody!"

Kagome stopped what she was doing and thought for a second. "Huh? SHUT UP!!!" Kagome shouted with a grin on her face.

Sango laughed and so did Kagome, both falling to the floor in hilarity. Chips falling from Kagome's grasp and onto the floor. Doritos covering the tiles.

There he stood, in all of his glamour, the one that took her breath away by just his presence, Sesshoumaru Takeda.

His long, silver tresses were long and covered his back in shadow. He wore a refined tuxedo with golden cufflinks that shone as bright as the setting sun. Rin felt her ankles go weak just by his being there. His masculine beauty, his hair, and his eyes!

Oh his eyes of amber that surpassed the fires of the sun and glinted with masculine pride. They made Rin want to fall down and thank the Gods for displaying such a sight for her feminine eyes to witness. She felt herself whoosh over with giddy girlish features when she saw Sesshoumaru standing in the vanishing sun, his hair glowing the tawny shadow.

Rin smiled warmly at him, "Hi."

"Good evening."

Rin turned around and grabbed her purse which was beside the open door. She flung it over her shoulder and locked the door.

She turned back around to face Sesshoumaru and giggled. "It's really great to see you again."

"Yes, you as well. Shall we go then?" he asked as he extended his arm in a very gentleman like manor.

"Yeah!" Rin said giddily.

Sesshoumaru chuckled and shook his head. And led Rin to the elevator and out of the apartment, down to his extensive limo that would take them to the restaurant.

He opened the door for Rin and she thanked him, giggling as she went along.

`I'm acting like such a ditz!!! But I CAN'T HELP IT!!! HE'S UTTERLY GORGEOUS!!!'

Sesshoumaru closed her door and went to the left side of the vehicle and got in. "You look beautiful," he said.

Rin blushed, a smile planted on her feminine face. "Thank you. You look really great too."

Sesshoumaru nodded his thanks. "Jaken!"

"Y-yes, Milord?"

"Drive on." "Yes, Lord Sesshoumaru."

"Lord?" Rin inquired. "Jaken is a servant of my family, he is trained with respect." "Oh, well at least he treats you with respect," Rin said happily.

"Usually," Sesshoumaru said with a slit eyed look at Jaken.

`I'm such an idiot compared to him!!! Oh, he'll probably hate me by the time tonight's over!'

"So…where're we going?" Rin asked as they stopped at the intersection, she noticed Mrs. Cho's through the tinted windows.

"One of my favorite restaurants, but I'm afraid it's a surprise." Rin smiled and leaned to her left, leaning almost against Sesshoumaru's shoulder as Jaken turned right.

"I love surprises," she said smiling with her eyes, "but, then again I hate them." "Oh?" "My…my mother died a few months ago. And I found out a week after." "I'm sorry." "Thanks."

The world was a different place at night. And Rin preferred the darkness of night compared to the blinding light of day. It felt more romantic and just made her feel better. During the night, she didn't feel so…alone.

Rin smiled, "I showed my friends your house today. My one friend almost had a heart attack."

`Although that might have been because of my driving,' Rin thought with a smile. "Why would you do that? It is just an accommodation."

"They wanted to see big houses. So since your house is a few blocks from the mall, I just showed them yours. And I think we saw your brother."

"Yes, sadly he's around everywhere," Sesshoumaru said with a type of irritated sigh. "Well, how've you been, Sessh, whoops, I mean, Sesshoumaru," Rin giggled nervously, "sorry."

He nodded away her apology. "Work has been busy. Pretty much all my time is work, and you?" "Well, my girlfriends and me went to the mall today." Sesshoumaru nodded.

Rin sighed and looked out the window. "This city is so beautiful, people never truly appreciate the beauty of it," Rin sighed.

"I can see you do. It takes one with beauty to recognize it."

Rin looked at Sesshoumaru and smiled, tilting her head to the side slightly.

`She's so innocent and fragile, she has a different type of beauty that I can't put my finger on. But she's such a delight to be around,' Sesshoumaru thought with a slight smile.

"You're such the gentleman, Sesshoumaru, too bad there aren't too many men like you." "I shall take that as a compliment. Oh, here we are."

Rin looked out the window and saw a beautiful restaurant with trees and flowerbeds outside. It was a large brick building with large front windows that made it visible to see the insides, chandeliers hung from the ceiling. There were lights woven between the branches of the trees and on the arched path that led to the entrance of the restaurant.

"Fiore," Rin read from the top of the building. She smiled and put her hand on Sesshoumaru's shoulder.

"This was my mother's favorite restaurant," Rin said getting teary eyed. "She loved this place. It has dancing and always played her song."

Rin's voice began to get scratchy and she wiped the tear that fell from her eye away, hopeful to prevent any smudging.

"Then I am glad I chose this restaurant," Sesshoumaru said handing Rin a tissue with a soft smile drifting his features.

`The first time I met him, he never smiled, not once. Now every time he looks at me, he smiles,' Rin thought with a sniffle.

"I'm sorry to act like such a baby about it." "Not at all," Sesshoumaru said getting out of the limo. He walked around to Rin's side and opened the door, extending his hand out for her to grasp. She placed her small, womanly hand in his large masculine one and held it firmly. She got out, her dress sparkling in the light from the weightless glow of the illumination from the restaurant. Her dress flowed around her ankles like water, making Sesshoumaru get a manly glint in his eyes.

`She's so beautiful with such childlike loveliness.'

He took her hand and wrapped it around the crook of his elbow and placed his hand on top of hers. He led her inside and they stopped at the podium, waiting for service.

"Ciao! Benvenuto a Fiore! Welcome to Fiore!" The hostess said with a tooth-shone smile. "Do you have a reservation?"

"Yes, two for Takeda," Sesshoumaru said. Rin looked up at him, her eyes gleaming in happiness and fondness.

`My god, if I keep staring at him like this I swear I'm gonna drool!!'

"Oh, Mr. Takeda, welcome back sir, follow me to your table please."

Sesshoumaru led Rin over to the table that was up some stairs by the balcony that shaded over the dance floor like a tree.

Sesshoumaru held the chair out for Rin and then sat himself down.

"Anthony will be with you two in a moment. Piacere il suo pasto. Enjoy your meal!" The hostess walked away and left Sesshoumaru and Rin alone.

"I can't believe that two days tomorrow we met!" Rin said enthusiastically looking over the expensive menu. Sesshoumaru chuckled, "You've been keeping count have you?" Rin blushed.

"Everything looks so good. Too bad the menus in Italian," Rin said with a laugh. "Thank God for translations!"

Sesshoumaru looked at Rin and smiled, she looked back up at him and beamed back. "Thank you so much for taking me out Sesshoumaru. I like spending time with you." "And I, you."

`He's so wonderful,' Rin thought dreamily.

"Amici benvenuti, welcome friends, my name's Anthony and I'll be your waiter for this evening. Is there anything to drink I can start you off with?"

"We'll have your finest wine." "Of course, made splendidly from the vineyards of Venice. Essrò di ritorno, I'll be right back."

"Wow, do you think everyone here is really Italian?" Rin asked amazedly. "Perhaps, or they had to learn certain sentences." Rin laughed, "Yeah, that too!"

"Have you ever tasted Italian wine?" Rin shook her head, "No, never."

"It's so delicate, made by the finest. It tastes marvelous with anything."

"Maybe you should work here," Rin said poking Sesshoumaru's hand on the table. She laughed and he chuckled.

"I doubt that."

"Can I ask you something?" Rin asked as she once again looked over the menu.

"Of course."

"Can I, I mean, can I call you Sessh? If you don't mind?" Rin asked innocently. He sighed and nodded, "If you want to."

She smiled and looked back over the menu. "What's good here?" "Everything." "Well, duh! I mean, specifically. What's good here?"

"The veal is too die for, and the pasta is extremely smooth."

"Thanks for nothing! They have like three different kinds of veal and about twelve different kinds of pasta. And maybe you could fit this place in part time."

"All the veal and pastas are delicious and no thanks, I'll pass." Rin laughed.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, but here is your wine," Anthony said holding out the bottle so Rin and Sesshoumaru could look at it.

"Rifugio di estate. Summer Haven is our finest wine," he said opening up the bottle and placing it in the ice bucket on the side of the table. Sesshoumaru took it and poured Rin and himself a glass.

"Are you ready to order, i miei amici? My dear friends."

"Yes," answered Sesshoumaru.

"Sort of," answered Rin. "What do you mean by `sort of'?" Sesshoumaru asked her. "Well, I'm having a hard time with the Veal Parmesan, Fettuccini Alfredo, Pasta with Tomato sauce and this other thing," she said pointing to one of the items on the menu. "The Roasted Scaloppini?" asked Anthony. "Yeah, that's the one. But I don't know what to get, umm, I think, no. OH! I got it! I'll have the Fettuccini Alfredo please," she said smiling.

Sesshoumaru chuckled at Rin's naïve sense of humor.

"And I'll have the Roasted Scaloppini."

"Great choices!!" Anthony said finishing writing down the orders, "Ok, and I'll be back with your meals shortly. While you two are waiting, you can go take a look at our ballare il pavimento, dance floor." With that he walked away and down the stairs.

Rin took a sip of her wine and laughed, "This stuff is really good." Sesshoumaru laughed, "I'm glad you enjoy it." Before he took a sip, Rin stuck out her hand to stop him, "What is it?" She held her cup out wanting to do cheers. He understood and she said, "To us!" Sesshoumaru smiled, "Yes, to us." They both took a sip and then Sesshoumaru looked at the dance floor.

Rin sighed and got up; she walked over to Sesshoumaru's side and put her hand on his shoulder. He turned around and looked up at Rin.

"You wanna go check it out?" she asked. "Only for a while."

Rin smiled and stood back as he got up and pushed in his chair. He walked to her side and Rin linked arms with him. He smiled to himself and they walked down the stairs to the dance floor.

"It's so beautiful!" Rin cried out happily as she noticed the couples dancing to a slow song sung in Italian.

"Do you wanna dance, Sessh?" "I don't dance," he responded bluntly.

She stood in front of him and held onto his arms, "Please, just once, for me?" He sighed giving in and nodded. She cheered silently and they walked out onto the dance floor.

She put one of her hands on his shoulder and the other in his; he wrapped his hand around her waist and began to lead.

"You're a very good dancer, Sessh, I don't know why you don't like it." "I just find it a waste of time."

"We can stop if you want?" Rin offered, Sesshoumaru shook his head, "No, you want to, so I'll put up with it."

Rin smiled and hugged Sesshoumaru.

She held him around the waist, breathing in his scent of Calvin Klein and just something that was pure male that made her smile.

He widened his eyes somewhat and looked down at her slender figure, then draped his arms around her shoulders like a curtain.

She giggled into his chest and looked up at him. "Sorry." He smiled, "No harm done. Let's go back up."

She nodded and let go of him completely. And as they walked away, she took his hand in hers and squeezed it gently. And what made her feel the happiest in her life, was having the feeling of him squeezing back.

Sango and Kagome positioned themselves on the couch, a pillow covering Kagome's face, while a dazed and astonished look crossed over Sango's.

"Is it over yet?" Kagome asked, her voice muffled by the pillow. "Yeah, it's over."

Kagome removed the pillow and focused her eyes on the screen.

"Was anything in the bathroom?" she asked. "Yeah, his dead wife," responded Sango. "WHAT!?! Who killed her!?!"

"I was just kidding! There wasn't anyone in the bathroom. But he smashed his mirror."

Sango had insisted that her and Kagome rent "Secret Window" and Kagome was left without a choice.

"Pass the chips?" Sango asked.

"We've already eaten four bags," Kagome said and the two girls laughed.

Kagome got off the couch and got another bag of chips from the cupboard. She sat back down on the couch and opened the bag.

"We are so gonna get fat," Kagome said as she piled her mouth with Lay's Ruffled.

"Yeeeep," responded her friend.

Rin and Sesshoumaru's meal came and they talked about Sesshoumaru's work and just about whatever crossed their minds. Rin called him Sesshy accidentally and he didn't seem to mind, too much.

"Do not call me that around others, please," he said.

`But that doesn't mean I can't call you that while we're alone!!' Rin thought happily.

After dinner, Sesshoumaru paid and he and Rin went down to the dance floor.

A slow song just began and Rin turned to Sesshoumaru.

"Care to dance?" she asked in a British voice. Sesshoumaru chuckled and wrapped his arm around Rin's waist and took her hand.

"I don't see why not."

Rin smiled and placed her arm on his shoulder. She looked into his eyes and smiled, him smiling back at her. "I had a wonderful time tonight," she said contentedly. "It's not over yet, Rin." She sighed merrily and rested her head on his chest, breathing in his scent. It was toxic to her nostrils. She took back her hands and wrapped them around Sesshoumaru's waist, him holding her shoulders as they continued to sway to the music.

`I've never been so happy. I think I'm falling for the guy,' Rin thought.

`She's so sweet and small. Her laughter fills my ears, such a devilish beauty I'm holding in my arms,' Sesshoumaru thought.

Rin held Sesshoumaru tighter and shut her eyes. Sesshoumaru sighed and held her deeper in his grasp.

"I think I'm falling asleep. With all the food in my stomach," Rin whispered.

"Then let's take you home." Rin nodded her comply and they left. Sesshoumaru's arm draped over her shoulders, her arm around his waist.

They left Fiore and once they got in the limo, Rin shut her eyes and rested her head on Sesshoumaru's shoulder. By the movement of the car and intoxication of the sounds, Rin fell asleep.

Sesshoumaru chuckled and looked out his window. He hadn't gone out on a date in a long time.

He found it interesting to talk to this sweet girl on the internet, but after three months, he had to meet her, he wanted to know who she was. He was obsessed by her presence, not like the great Sesshoumaru would tell anyone. He would go in her chat room and find his heart leap when he saw her name in the room.

"We have arrived, Milord," Jaken called from the front of the limo.

Sesshoumaru nodded and placed his hand on Rin's shoulder and gently shook her awake. Her brilliant brown eyes opened suddenly and she looked at Sesshoumaru. She smiled shyly and apologized for falling asleep.

"Not a problem."

He got out and opened her door. He escorted her up the elevator to the fourth floor and they stood outside her room, 423.

"Thank you so much, Sesshoumaru. I really had a great time with you." "As did I, I hope you sleep well." Rin smiled and nodded, "I will, thank you."

Sesshoumaru took her hand and kissed the top of it gracefully, then he strode off down the hall and stood before the elevator, waiting for it to appear.

`Huh? What just happened? He didn't try to kiss me? What did I do wrong?'

"Sesshoumaru?" Rin called.

He turned around and saw Rin run to his side and capture him in a hug. She buried her face into his chest and he held her firmly around her shoulders. "When will I see you again?" she asked, her voice muffled by the depth of her face in his white dress shirt. "Soon, when my work dies down." "You promise?" Sesshoumaru smiled at her and lifted her head with his forefinger and thumb holding her chin.

"Promise."

Rin then lifted herself up on her tiptoes as Sesshoumaru lowered his face towards her and their lips met in a soft and gentle kiss.

He broke the kiss and smiled down at her fragile form. "Good bye for now, dear Rin."

He then left down the hall and took the stairs down. Rin stood there with her fingers touching her lips, still feeling the softness of his lips on hers. She smiled brightly and turned around. She walked into her room and locked the door behind her.

She skipped into her room, a glowing expression on her face. She grabbed her pillow off her bed and screamed into it. All of her happiness, excitement and doubt draining through the cotton of her pink pillow.
