"Heh, aren't you just pretty when your angry big brother. You get quite flustered when defending your wench, hmmm…now doesn't that sound familiar." Inuyasha said teasingly.

"Know your place you little wretch, just because your youkai has become stronger doesn't mean you are my equal. You are still a hanyou with a body that cannot withstand the demon blood running through your veins."

"Oh, your wrong big guy, you have no idea what I'm capable of now."

"Hmmmm, are you willing to show me?" Sesshomaru commanded with a battle ready stare. In an eye blink of time, he advanced upon Inuyasha with a slash of his sword. Inuyasha very swiftly moved aside causing Sesshomaru to blink in surprise.

"Come on now pretty boy, you'll have to come better than that." Inuyasha said amused with a smug smile."

'Something's not right about this. Before, his mind becomes blank with the passion to just kill, but he's developing tactics.' Before Sesshomaru could finish his thought, Inuyasha charged at Sesshomaru just barely ripping his face off with his claws.

"Come on are you just gonna stand there wimp? FIGHT ME!" Inuyasha growled.

Sesshomaru sent his green vaporous whip flying at Inuyasha's way snapping several times. Each snap he dodged with ease. With the final whip Inuyasha grabbed the end in his hands searing his flesh. Inuyasha just stood staring at his brother with a smirk on his face. Inuyasha then snatched his hand forward gripping the wip causing Sesshomaru to fly forward and land on the ground.

"Who are you?" Sesshomaru asked looking up to the demon before him.

"Who am I? I'm the one that will be the cause of your demise." Inuyasha said as he went in for a blow to Sesshomaru's head. But before that could happen Sesshomaru began to transform.

"Will you look at that, can't fight me in your human form so you have to get all beastly on me. I guess I'll just have to even the odds a little." With that said a bright glow began to emanate from Inuyasha's body. His face elongated as white fur covered his features. His feet became paws. His silver hair coated his entire body and got longer by the second as he grew. Before Sesshomaru could register in his mind what was happening, he was faced with another dog demon much like himself standing before him. With a fierce growl Sesshomaru attacked. Both demons fighting into the night.

It was late into the night. The forms of four people and a demon cat were in deep sleep around a bone-fire that had long dissipated.

"AHHHHHH!!!" A blood curdling yell bellowed from within a body laying onj the ground. Everyone woke up to the load outburst. Human Inuyasha was laying down clutching himself as blood began to pour from his mouth.

"Oh my God!!! Inuyasha what's wrong?" Kagome said running to his side.

"Gods it hurts….ahhh…what's happening to me?" He managed between heavy gasps of air.

"Is it a wound? Where does it hurt?" Sango asked frantically searching his body, but nothing was there. His body was flawless.

"Oh Inuyasha what's happening to you?" Kagome cried out as tears began to force their way down her face. Everyone was frantic now. All they knew was that their dear friend was hurt, dying even, and there was nothing they could do.

"kagome, you stay here with Inuyasha, Sango and I will go to get Kaede." Miroku commanded as both himself and Sango jumped on to Kirara's back and went off.

Tears flowed freely down Kagome's face. It was almost like she was in as much pain as he was just watching him like that.

"Kagome…, it feels like my body is getting ripped apart."

"Where does it hurt?" Kagome asked in a gentle maternal tone as she brushed his sweat soaked hair from his face.

"Everywhere and…just…when I think….it's over…it starts again in a different place." Just then, they both heard a loud boom echo through the forest. Kagome looked towards the direction which it came and sensed a demonic presence so powerful that if her eyes didn't deceive her, she could almost….see it.

"Inuyasha wait here."

"NO!!! Kagome don't, wait until Miroku and Sango return." Inuyasha yelled making movement to get up but the pain quickly put him back down.

"Look Inuyasha, somethings out there, who knows what it will do when it makes it's way over here, which it seems like it may be doing slowly." Kagome said grabbing her bow and arrows.

"Damn it Kagome, this is no time to get curious. I can't protect you if you go out there,so get back here NOW!" Inuyasha screamed in rage, but to no avail, Kagome ran as fast as she could to her destination with the motivation of knowing that she left Inuyasha alone and had to deal with what ever it was fast. Miroku and Sango returned back to Inuyasha with Kaede not long after.

"Where's Kagome?" Miroku exclaimed.

"Stupid girl, she ran off because she sensed a demonic aura in the are moving in close."

"Oh no, which way did she head off to?"

Inuyasha pointed to the direction which she left, and Sango quickly headed there after her.

As Kagome finally reached the dark presence that she felt a ways back, she was stunned and now stuck right in between a demon death match.

'I recognize one of them, that's Sesshomaru In his true form, but who is that he's fighting.' Kagome thought to herself as she tried to find a safe place to hide amidst the battle.

"Give up brother,this battle is going now where. If you keep fighting your body will destroy itself." Sesshomaru warned

"Haven't you realized by now that I'm not some little hanyou chump. I'm a youkai now and this battle ain't over till you die." Inuyasha growled taking another slash at his brother.

"Oh my God, that's…that's Inuyasha? He really is full youkai and God is he scary." Kagome cowered behind a bush. Then it hit her, ' Wait a minute, earlier Inuyasha said something about still being connected through pain even though they are totally different entities. That's why Inuyasha is injured because his demon counterpart is fighting right now. His human body can't take the beating. I have to stop them.' Kagome ran out from behind the bush and readied her bow and arrow. With careful aim she let go of a single arrow which landed between the two on the battle field. The two demons looked back at the small girl with her bow steadied. She then realized her folly as they both stared her down with fiery eyes.

"Well, well if it ain't my human side's little bitch. Intervening in my little fight here makes me wonder if you're challenging me"The demon's voice boomed as he made loud stomps over to her. But, quickly he was tackled down by Sesshomaru.

"Deal with her later, this is our fight." Just as the battle was about to ensue again, a large boomerang whipped through the trees striking Inuyasha in the head causing him to fall over unconscious.

"No! Sango don't hurt him." Kagome screamed running towards her.

"Kagome what are you doing here this is dangerous." Sango asked grabbing Kagome by the shoulders.

"Kagome-chan, Sango-chan!" Miroku appeared from the forest yelling with an unconscious human Inuyasha on his back.

"Inuyasha has took a turn for the worst." Miroku said frantically laying Inuyasha on a bed off grass. Sesshomaru stammered as he looked at the figure laying on the ground. He looked over at the demon who was transformed back into his hidden form unconscious. With that Sesshomaru himself reverted back into his hidden form as well.

"Who is that?" Sesshomaru commanded walking up to the black haired man laying on the forest floor.

"It's nothing." Kagome said jumping in Sesshomaru's way all but a little nervous by his cold stare.

"Listen Sesshomaru, we really don't understand this ourselves, but we really don't need any more obstacles thrown in our way by you being involved. So if you would please let us tend to this." Kagome pleaded to the very battle fatigued youkai. Getting even more nervous at his silence Kagome backed up a little as Sesshomaru flung around and walked up to where his demon opponent laid. Sesshomaru bent down grabbing a fist full of the demon's hair picking him up to observe his features. Then two red eyes flashed open and two clawed hands ripped at Sesshomaru causing him to let go. Sesshomaru gave a small smile then walked away out of their sight.

Kagome turned her attention back on the human laying on the ground.

"Inuyasha…Inuyasha? Wake up. Talk to me please." But Inuyasha made no movement. Kagome laid her head on his chest to hear a heartbeat then all of a sudden she felt a hand gently stroke her head. She looked up at the human's face to see two half lidded eyes looking down at her.

"Oh God Inuyasha your okay." Kagome said with a sigh of relief holding him to herself careful not hurt him.

"Kagome…KAGOME! Why the HELL didn't you listen to me you could have been killed." Inuyasha scolded wrapping his arms around the girl tightly.

"I had no choice, I had to stop them."

"Stop who?"

"Your brother and your demon half were fighting. That's why you were feeling that pain. He can take a lot more pain than you because of his demon body."

The demon walked over interrupting the two conversing with each other.

"Okay, first, you say I can't hurt the little punk, now your saying I can't fight period?"

"Uh…yeah, for fear that you yourself would be killed of course." Kagome said looking at the demon a little annoyed.

"Than why are we even fucking alive in the first place, this is so damn pointless." The demon growled.

"Will you stop whining. God, for a demon you sure are a little bitc…." " Oh well, Keade is waiting for us back at camp.We can talk then so lets hurry shall we." The monk said abruptly cutting off the human Inuyasha's insults. "And that means your coming with us too demon." Miroku commanded.

"Who the hell do you think your talking to you little shit. No one orders me to do a thing, especially not a human."

"Listen we need you to be with us. For one, to stay out of trouble. And second, we need you if this problem is to be corrected." Kagome ordered looking the demon straight in the eye. The demon and Kagome just stood there for a moment in silence giving each other deathly glares before Inuyasha called for Kagome to come to him, mostly for Kagome's sake. Kagome wrapped one of Inuyasha's arms around her neck to steady him as he stood up. Inuyasha pulled Kagome in a little closer to him as they walked giving her a small smile as she looked over to him. She then looked back at the demon trailing behind them. The demon taking note of the two in front of him, stared Kagome dead in the eye giving her a wicked smile making even her blood run cold.
