Kagome: if you give her a hard time then she might write me really ugly or something!
K'yra(evil grin): oh, I wouldn't do that to you Kagome!
Sesshomaru: yes you would
Inuyasha(jumping up and unsheathing Tetsaiga(sp?)): Sesshomaru! I have a fight to finish with you!

Inuyasha(on the ground again): Damnit, wench!
Kagome: WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
K'yra: hey Sesshomaru, why are you here?
Sesshomaru: I dunno, she brought me here (points to small, demonic looking girl)
Jen(innocent look): what!? I thought you might want him here!
K'yra(rolls eyes): not yet! I don't have my kinky bondage straps yet!
Sesshomaru(scared):w-what?
K'yra(grins): my kinky bondage straps
Sesshomaru(runs): K'yra does not own Inuyasha or anything that has to do with him (K'yra glares) except for her 7 DVDs, 1 manga(#2 for some reason), and her pictures-
K'yra:-of Sesshomaru!(follows Sesshomaru)
Jen(rolls eyes and smacks her forehead): pitiful. (turns to audience) as Sesshomaru said, K'yra doesn't own Inuyasha or its characters. If you sue her you will get maybe $10 in pennies and lots of scary weapons…and the voices, of course

Chapter One:
Invitations and Acceptances
Kagome walks to the well house, debating whether to tell them, or to let her mother fill Inuyasha in after she leaves. To avoid making that decision yet, she thinks back to the letter she'd gotten earlier that day. It was from her pen pal in America, Alexandria.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Dear Kagome,
Hias! I just wanted to tell you that I'm okay, and to ask you something. Would you like to come spend Christmas at my house this year? I know that it's kind of short notice, but you have my e-mail address and such, so you can send your answer right away. You may bring a few friends, especially the ones that you always tell me about in you letters. I especially want to meet Inuyasha and Shippou. They sound great (even if Inuyasha seems a jerk at times.) Oh, I almost forgot! My brothers will be here, so you'll finally get to meet them. I have just one thing to say when you do: keep an open mind. I'd explain in the letter, but then it would take the initial shock of them away, and that would ruin the fun of seeing your face when you meet them. (I know that I sound cruel, but I can't help it. It's a bad habit born of an evil inner child.) I hope you do come, but if you don't that's okay. Well, I have to go to work now, or I'll get in trouble for being late, and we don't want that to happen. Write back soon. Ba-byes, and Merry Christmas!
Sincerely,
Alexandria S.
P.S.- I rally didn't mean to worry you by not writing, I've just been too busy. I hardly have any time to myself, between my brother, hospital visits, work, and a story I'm writing. (If you come this holiday, then I MIGHT let you read it. But no promises.) Well, now I'm really gonna be late, ba-bye.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Snapping back to the present, she decides to bring it up to her friends, and let them decide if they want to go. Surely it is their choice after all. She hops into the well, and climbs out in the feudal period. Inuyasha is waiting for her, impatient with her late arrival.
"Now that you're finally here, we can continue our quest without interruptions!" he practically yells in her face. Kagome takes a step foreword, her face dangerous. Inuyasha frowns, knowing what is coming. He hangs his head, waiting for her to say `it'. When it doesn't come, he looks up at her. She's watching him with great amusement, and he wonders what's so funny. Just as he is about to ask, a familiar voice calls out.
"Kagome-chan!" Shippou cries out, running to his friend. Behind him are Sango and Miroku, walking at a slightly hurried pace. Shippou jumps onto Kagome, resting lightly on her shoulder. She waits for the others to reach them before making her announcement. They do, eventually, and Kagome receives a hug from Sango and pat on the ass by Miroku. (Which is rewarded by a frying pan to the head, courtesy of Kagome and her never-ending pack.) When all is settled down, Kagome is ready to share her news.
"I was wondering if you guys wanted to put our quest on a hold for about a week, so that I-"
"No way," cuts in Inuyasha. "You spend too much time away as it is."
"You aren't even listening to me!" Kagome growls. "grrrrr. You make me so mad sometimes…. SIT!" Inuyasha curses a blue streak as his head is dragged violently to the ground, and dirt gets in his mouth. Kagome smirks, and turns cheerfully back to her friends. "As I was saying, in my friend from America invited me to spend Christmas at her house. She said to bring a few friends, especially Inuyasha and Shippou. Now, we'd have to do some shopping to get you guys clothes for my time, and I need to get her gift. Do you guys wanna come with me?" she asks. Miroku thinks for a minute.
"This friend of yours, she's a girl?" he asks eagerly, earning another wallop with the frying pan. "OWCH!! Okay, I get the point!" he regains his composure, and smiles. "I'd love to go, Kagome. I want to see this `America' place." Sango nods.
"Me too." Shippou starts to chatter, but they get the point of him wanting to go. Kagome looks at the now recovering Inuyasha.
"What about you, Inuyasha. Do you want to come?" she asks hopefully. He crosses his arms and sticks up his nose.
"Feh! Of course not! I have no reason to go," he snaps.
"She's not any ordinary girl, ya know. She's part demon." Kagome reasons. "Besides, you'll get to meet her two half brothers. One's her father's child, the other her mother's. Please?" Kagome adds. Inuyasha considers this for a moment, and his opinion seems to change slightly, grudgingly.
"I guess if she's part demon it might be a little easier. Kagome gives them all quick hugs.
"Thank you!" she seems to think for a minute, and then realizes something. "If we have to leave in two weeks, then we have to go now to be ready in time! Oh my god, there's so much to do!" She leads them hastily to the well, and they go through. On the other side, Soto is standing there, about to jump in. Kagome stares at him.
"What do you need, Sota?" she asks. He rewards her with an annoyed frown.
"Your friend's on the phone, the one from America. She wants to know if you've decided to come over. How come you never told me?" he asks her. She smiles at him.
"I just got the letter this morning, Sota. Besides you're too young to go to America without adults." she says, walking out of the well house. The others follow her to the house, and up to her room. They wave at Ms. Higurashi on their way through the kitchen. Kagome picks up the phone, and pushes talk button.
"Hi Alexandria." she says cheerfully. "I can go, and I'm bringing four friends with me." On the other side she hears a laugh.
"By the gods, Higurashi, are you fast, or what? And don't be blushing, it's only a vague compliment." Kagome blushes harder as her friend talks. "Oh, Kagome, I'm not sure exactly how to tell you, but remember to keep an open mind when you meet my brothers." Kagome nods, then, remembering that she's on the phone, blushes again, and says a quick `okay'.
"Higurashi, you already said yes. I know you nodded, so stop blushing already. Geeze." Alexandria says sharply, though Kagome knows that she's only joking around. "So, Higurashi, you gonna bring your friends in hokey disguises, or are you going to try and make them resemble normal?" she asks, still taunting Kagome.
"Actually, I was going to go shopping today. What type of clothes do they need? I mean, are we doing anything special, or just regular outfits?" Kagome asks. There's a brief pause where she knows Alexandria's thinking about the question.
"Umm, one or two nice outfits, so that they can go to church and whatever other fancy things that pop up between now and then, but mostly just casual stuff." she answers, adding a bit of mystery to the visit.
"Okay, umm, anything else you want to tell me?" Kagome asks. There's another pause, and in the background Kagome hears a guy's voice.
"C'mon, Alexandria, you're gonna see her in two weeks. I have to call my boss and tell him why I didn't go to work last night. Not that taking you to the hospital again is a valid excuse. I swear, if he didn't know you, he'd never believe me more than once on that excuse." the guy says.
"Okay, I'm saying bye." Alexandria calls back, and, from her tone of voice, Kagome knows that she is smirking, like always, and decides it best to post-pone her questions about her friend's seemingly frequent hospital visits. (Nearly half the letters she received involved comments on the quality of hospital care and Alexandria's opinions on doctors and hospitals.) The American turns her attention back to the phone. "I gotta go, Higurashi. See ya when you arrive. And remember to tell me your flight number when you know it, so that I can pick you up from the airport. Trust me, you don't want to have a taxi try to find my house, it's near impossible if you don't already know the way."
"Okay, well, bye!" Kagome says cheerfully.
"Yeah, see ya around, Higurashi." Alexandria responds in a less cheerful tone. There's a soft click on the other side of the line, and Kagome hangs up. She turns to Inuyasha and grins.
"Well, we'd better get you guys some clothes, so that we can go shopping." she says, smiling broadly.
