InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Inuyasha : A New Beginning ❯ Here We Are ( Prologue )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

Notes-
Kumouri- Half dog demon, has the same exact face as Inu, shorter hair(not quite shoulder length) of same color, wears a thin black leather vest and black pants of the same fabric, green eyes(red surrounded by blue in demon transformation)… Much nicer than Inu, but the same temper when provoked… loves ramen above all foods… Loves sleeping in trees and caves, and overestimates resistance to sake… Raised by thunder demons' off-tribe, never could use thunder magic…

Jumon- Full spell-demon… Shaggy dark hair and human in appearance else than the third eye which remains hidden in the skin until needed for spell casting or fighting… Deep blue eyes, but the iris of the third eye turns red in action… Humorous, friendly, and acts like a plain dumbass, but few know the depths of his intellect… Slow and clumsy during relaxed time, but has the odd ability to be clever and skilled that is just a bit too good to be luck… Not sure of age… the third eye cost him a few years… (Note- Jewel shard in third eye)

Akki- a shadow demon… wandered away from his tribe in the mountains when was very young, only about 200, and got lost… has spent the past 1500 years perfecting shadow magic… resembles a young teenage human, and there is no difference in appearance… can travel into the shadows and summon forth demons of his choosing using his Sinner's Staff (he calls forth Shinigami as his most powerful summon)

… Crap… that got put in there, didn't it? You're supposed to find that out on your own… You lose. Well, we'll give you that much… and call it "Introduction of the Authors." Yes.

Now, to explain the prologue… will be split in to three parts, one written by Kumouri, another by Jumon, and the last by Akki. Enjoy
--------------------------------------------------
Kumouri yawned, awaking to find himself sleeping in yet another tree. "I haven't seen Kagome in a few weeks,” he muttered to himself. Inuyasha and his gang are almost the only friends/companions/entertainment he has left. He sighed and heaved himself from the branch, landing gracefully in the grass below him. He reached up to a much shorter branch, one that he probably shortened himself, and pulled his food-sack from it, then grabbed his sword by the handle and lifts it up with one hand, sliding it blade-first into its spot on his belt.

Any bystander watching should think that such a sword should not be so easily moved. The blade is nearly six and one-half feet long, an inch thick in the middle of its double-edge, but Kumouri moved it in one hand as if it were as light as a wakisashi. The reason is painfully obvious due to the shiny purple streaks in the handle of the blade, shikon jewel shards that make the blade much lighter and more durable.

He sniffed the air for a moment, testing for direction, and took off walking in the direction of Kaede's village. "Surely if I go there, Miss Kaede can tell me where they've gone," he thought to himself.

Expecting more? We have to fit three parts in the prologue, silly.

Jumon lay along the riverbank admiring his new acquisition. The finely sharpened blade glimmered beautifully in the afternoon's sun. "He lost fair and square… it's mine now," Jumon said attempting to convince himself. "But it feels like I just new his cards. Hmm… his loss I suppose. Now what did he call it?"

Before he had time to find his solution, it was screamed at him…

"Oh lord Sesshomaru! I found the man who stole your precious Tenseiga!"

"Damn it! I knew that was it! Why did you have to tell me?" Jumon scolded the peculiar green midget at the top of the hill. "I woulda fou-… oh… HI!" Jumon's expression quickly turned to terror as the tall dog demon approached from behind. "Hey, I won it fair and square!" Jumon sprung to his feet to face his oncoming foe.

"I know of your third eye, and I suggest you return my sword. Or I will be forced to kill you."

"And if I do?"

"I'll be forever grateful… Then I'll kill you."

Jumon scratched his chin for a moment, and then faced Sesshomaru. "Okay I made my decision!" Jumon's eye flashed open and in one blink of that eye (which can remain open for up to five hours at a time…) a foot raced from the ground into Sesshomaru's… soft place. And then. he was gone, racing into the treetops, unaware that Tenseiga knocked Jaken off his feet… literally…

Akki looked through his sweat-drenched brow at his opponent, a scorpion demon. Usually, he would have been able to defeat this enemy with a small dose of shadow magic from his staff, but this foe was different. There was a Shikon jewel shard embedded within its left pincer. He charged the scorpion with another of his shadow attacks, but still had no success. He poised himself for another attack but only looked up in time to see his foe dashing towards him with unreal speed. Barely dodging this attack, Akki began to consider his situation.
”I should be able to defeat this bastard but why can't I? Must be a damn jewel shard. Too bad I can't see where it is.” Looking up, he escaped another attack “I guess it's time to summon.”
Akki pushed his hair to one side and raised his Sinner's Staff horizontally. He then thrust it into the ground and drew a triangle. The ground shuddered and rumbled on contact, and then opened to reveal an ominous light. “I summon you, Chax! Come forth!” Suddenly, a giant ogre-like demon, covered in a trench coat, with only 2 red eyes showing under his hood, appeared from the split in the Earth. He wielded a giant Horseman's sword and approached the scorpion with lumbering footsteps. The scorpion charged the newly-appeared demon with the same agility as it had with Akki but found itself not as lucky. With one well-aimed strike, Chax severed the demon into several pieces, which then vanished. Akki, seeing the opponent defeated by his conjure, was pleased with the result. As a reward, he handed Chax a gold coin and sent him back to Hell. Akki walked over to the carcass and searched until he found the jewel shard, which he added to the collection in the pouch around his waist. He knew he could sell any shards he found to the young prince that lived in the castle. Why the prince wanted them, Akki did not know, but he would pay greatly nonetheless and that was all that Akki cared about.
