InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Inuyasha and the Daywalker: A New Kind of Evil ❯ A Friendly Visit Cut Short... ( Prologue )

[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
A/N: This is the sequel to 'Inuyasha and the Daywalker' and 'Adding Drake to the Picture. This fic takes place after both of those fics so if you haven't read them then it's pointless reading this one. I have dicided that it would be cool to make a series of fics. This will be called the Inuyasha and the Daywalker series because of the origonal fic's name. The more you guys review the more I right. I've already written five of the fics in this series. Once you guys review, I'll update. P.S. By the way, if you didn't guess by my little hint. Kagome lost the baby in the fight with Drake. I don’t own Inuyasha or Blade.

Inuyasha looked up at the sky and sighed. 'It's been five years since I've been home. It'll be good to get back, even if it's only for a day.' He looked over at Kagome. "So why are we taking the bus again?"

"Because, want to be normal for a day."

"Oh, right." Inuyasha lifted Kagome's hat slightly. "But, you're not normal." he said teasingly.

"Do you want your eardrums blown out?" Kagome pulled out her silver dog whistle.

Inuyasha made a fake whining noise and a sad face that always seemed to make her smile.

"And did you have to bring that thing with us?" Kagome asked looking at the heavy titanium case that Inuyasha had been carrying.

Inuyasha chuckled. "Never go anywhere without it."

"I know but the question is why."

"I have my reasons."

"Like what fear?" Kagome whispered as she moved closer and sniffed him.

"Uh, n-no. It's-"

"You're lying." Kagome sang as she walked away.

Inuyasha followed her untill they reached the bus stop. When he reached the bus stop he set the case down and began fixing the collar of his shirt. "You know. Sometimes I regret turning you." He moved his attention to his tie.

"Oh, I know you don't mean that." Kagome whispered.

"You see! You wouldn't be able to do that without my sense of smell."

"Actually, I meant because you love me too much," she pulled him down gently by his hair until they were face to face and placed a small kiss on his cheek.

"True." Inuyasha stood up straight when she let go of him and moved his ears under his cap, focussing on the street in front of him. "The bus is here." Sure enough, ten seconds later the bus turned the corner and stopped in front of the two hanyous.

Two hours later...

"Alright do remember the drill?" Kagome asked as they entered the large shrine.

"Yeah. You talk and I just stand there looking pretty."

"Right." Kagome pulled out her key and unlocked the door. "I'm home!" she yelled.

The three people in the living room turned around and one of them jumped off of the couch and ran toward her. "Big sis!" The boy grabbed her, wrapping his arms around her tightly.

"Hey, Souta! Man, you got tall." Kagome said, hugging the man back.

"Kagome?" an older woman got up and walked over to her daughter.

"Hi, Mama. Sorry I'm late."

The older woman laughed and hugged her, crying slightly. "Kagome, what happened? It's been five years and you don't look a day older."

Kagome giggled. "You wouldn't beleive me if I told you."

"Try me."

Kagome took off her hat and the older woman backed away in shock and fear then turned an angry glare on Inuyasha. "You! What did you do to my baby?"

Inuyasha backed away. "Me? I didn't do anything." He looked at Kagome with a look that begged her for help.

Kagome stepped in front of the terrified hanyou putting some distance between him and her pissed off mother. "Mama. I told him to. It was better than the alternative."

"Alternative?" Kagome's mother looked at her daughter expectantly.

"Death." The young girl said simply.

"Death?" The woman relaxed slightly.

"Well...technically it was worse than death..."

"What could possibly be worse that death?"

"Have you heard of vampirism?"

"You mean like sucking blood and stuff?"

Kagome nodded.

"But Kagome, vampires don't exist."

"Tell that to the one who bit me." Kagome pulled the collar of her shirt down, showing the bite mark to her mother.

Kagome's mother's eyes became wide. "So than it is true."

"What's true?" Kagome looked at her mother confused.

"On the news today, it said that that serial killer, Blade was found, dead, along with proof that vampires exist."

Kagome giggled. "Mama, Blade's not dead."

Kagome's mother's eyes bacame wider. "You know him?"

"Yeah, we were helping him and a few others defeat the rest of the vampires. We killed Dracula and everything."

Souta looked from his sister to Inuyasha. "Cool!"

"So, what happens now?" Kagome's mother asked.

"Well we got a place outside of town. We've already moved in but, we dicided to visit here for a day or two."

"You bought a place?"

"Oh, I forgot to tell you." Kagome grabbed her little brother and covered his ears. "Inuyasha and I are mated and married."

"Oh."

Two hours later...

Kagome and Inuyasha had decided to join the Higurashis for dinner...

"So, Inuyasha. Have you found a job?"

"Yeah, I have been hired at the store across the street from our new house. It's a small job. Just carrying boxes."

"Oh, well good luck."

A ringing sound came from Inuyasha's pocket and he pulled out his RAZR cell phone. "Yeah? What? No. Whaddya mean-? Okey, fine." Inuyasha closed his phone, appearently pissed off. "Uh, Kagome, we need to go." Inuyasha got up and picked up the large metal case from the ground, placing it on the table. He put in a code on the digital touch pad and it opened.

"Why? What happened?"

"We have a new enemy and they need help." Inuyasha pulled out a heavy black vest and threw it to Kagome.

Kagome caught the vest easily and put it down on the back of the chair as she stood up. Her family watched as she ripped her dress and shirt off to reveal a black jacket and black tactical pants. She straped her vest on and Inuyasha ripped his white shirt off to reveal his own black jacket. Then, he too strapped on his vest. Both of the hanyous stood in front of the large case, pulling weapon after weapon out of it untill they were completely locked and loaded.

Kagome looked into the case, pulling out a glock 36, loading it and handing it to her mother. "You know how to use one of these, right?" the older woman nodded. "Good. It's loaded with explosive silver rounds. If you shoot a vampire with it, it will turn to ash immediately."

Inuyasha closed the case and locked it then followed Kagome out the door.
