Inuyasha turned the key and walked slowly into the apartment. He looked around to see Kagome sleeping, sitting up on the couch with the wolf cub in her lap. He closed the door quietly and padded over to the couch. He knelt down next to his mate and used one of his claws to gently move a stray hair out of her face. "Kagome," he whispered into her ear.

"Hm?" Kagome opened one of her eyes slowly.

"Hey."

She yawned. "You're late." She said, gently scratching the base of his ears.

"Sorry, I had to stop and do a little research."

Kagome smiled. "It's okey. What'd you find out?"

"I found out that this origional werewolf lives in northern Canada. I also found out that wolves are similar to dogs when it comes to basic laguage. We make the same sounds but they mean slightly different things. I never learned how to speak my native laguage because my father died right after I was born so he might be a little hard for me to understand."

"You mean he can talk?" Kagome asked surprised.

"Not exactly." suddenly a small whimpering sound came from Kagome's lap.

"As in that." Inuyasha looked down at the cub who was now rolling onto his back. "He's probably hungry but, he thinks that, because I killed his father, I'm now the alpha wolf."

Kagome snickered and got up, carrying the pup into the kitchen and setting him down on one of the chairs. "Okey, I'll get you some food."

"Did you find anything else he'll eat?"

"Yeah, he'll eat these." The pup watched hungrily as a small can of wet dog food flew through the air. Inuyasha caught the can easily with one hand. "You're feeding him dog food?"

"It's the only other thing I could find." Kagome said as she opened the drawer and pulled out a can opener.

Inuyasha looked the can over. "Beef flavored?" Inuyasha read the label, chuckling.

"The can says made with real beef," she said as she opened the can. The pup barked happily and jumped off of the chair. He hopped cheerfully to Kagome and stood on his hind paws, leaning against the side of the cabinet with his front paws. "Okey, okey!" Kagome whispered, leaning down to scratch the pup behind the ears. After a few seconds she stood up again and emptied the contents of the can into a small bowl. "Here you go," she said leaning down and placing the bowl next to the cub. The smalll wolf dove into the bowl as soon as it hit the ground. She snickered as she watched him eat. "He eat's just like you," she said looking up at Inuyasha.

The hanyou looked out the window, it was already light out. "You ready?"

Kagome looked up at her mate, then looked away. "Yeah," she said sadly. She walked over to one of the cabnets and opened it to reveal a large safe that was her hieght and about 3 feet wide. She pressed a series of 14 buttons and turned the lever, pulling the heavy door open. She looked inside to see a large suit of high-tech looking armor. "Don't you think this is a bit much?" She pulled out the large chest piece.

"You like?" Inuyasha walked over to her and lifted the large piece of armor out of her hands. "I had Whistler custom make this for you before he died." He used his free hand to undo the clips of her usual heavy black vest and tossed it aside. She sighed in releaf from the weight as it left her shoulders. Inuyasha pressed a button on both sides of the chest piece, releasing the shoulder and back parts. He moved the large breast blate to her chest. "Here, hold this here."

"Oof." Kagome said, when he let the heavy piece of metal go.

"The best is yet to come." Inuyasha picked up the back of the chest piece and draped it over her shoulders. "Raise the plate up a little bit." She did as she was told and he pushed the plate and the shoulder pieces together. She heard a click and the weight centered itself on her shoulders. "Feel any better?" Inuyasha asked, reaching into the safe and pulling out two large upper leg pieces.

"Yeah, but how am I going to be able to make it back there in this?" Kagome tried to look down but couldn't see past the armor.

Inuyasha secured the leg peices and did the same for the other leg, then moved to the lower leg peices, then the knee guards. "You'll see." Inuyasha then moved to the upper arm and lower arm guards before securing the elbow guards. "Here put on these gloves." Kagome took the heavy gloves, surprised she could still move, then put them on. "Now, here's the best part." Inuyasha walked behind her.

"What? Taking it off?"

"Nope. This." Inuyasha hit an almost invisible button on the back of the armor that was right below her neck. Suddenly the armor made a loud noise and she felt like her whole body was being torn apart. A few seconds later, she felt lighter. She looked down as the pain disappeared. The armor was smaller. It felt like it had just bonded with her skin.

"What happened?" Kagome looked at the armor amazed.

"He added a special feature. This armor has a high powered vacuum in it. The vacuum sucked all of the air out of the padding. The padding is what was weighing so much. Now that the mass of the padding is gone, the armor is less clumsy and is pretty much relying on your center of gravity. Another reason why it's feeling so light."

Kagome jumped up and down, testing the new weight of the armor. "Wow."

"Gues what. There's more." Inuyasha pulled out a helmet that was similar to the other one she had except it covered her entire face when she put it on and it had a built in headset, cosumized for her ears. She looked at Inuyasha through the vizar.

"This is awsome." she said her eyes wide.

Inuyasha smiled and moved his hand to the right side of the helmet. "There's still more," he sang as he pressed a hidden butten in the side of the helmet, right next to her eye. Suddenly, before her eyes, the visor lit up and a heat sencor appeared on it and Inuyasha's face turned bright red and orange. A small number on the bottom edge of the bottom right said 96.8 HUMAN. "Heat sensor." He pressed another button and everything turned green. "Night vision." He pressed another and everything became darker. "Light filter." He pressed another and everything went back to normal. "Off." He took a step back to look at his mate in her new armor. "So, how do you like your present?"

Kagome removed her helmet and smiled at him. "I love it. It should come in handy on my mission." She looked into the safe again. "But, what's this for?" she pulled out a long metal case.

Inuyasha grabbed the case and put it down on the table. "These, love, are your weapons." He unlatched the case and lifted the top. "Just your essentials, mini rocket launcher, heat seaking mini rockets, two glock 36s and my own creation." Inuyasha pulled out a smaller steel box and opened it. "I made these myself," he said pulling out one of the small bullets. "I made these explosive rounds each with a small piece of one of my fangs. Each shot has about half the power of the Wind Scar. Even Blade doesn't know about them. These are our secret okey?" Kagome nodded. "I only made a hundred of them, so use them carefully."

"Okey," Kagome said, taking out one of the bullets and staring at it as it shined brightly with a golden light.

Inuyasha sighed and turned around, pulling the two guns out. "I modified these so that they can take the blast from the new bullets without exploding themselves," he explained, turning the gun over and showing it to her. "Each one also has an attachable flash light." Inuyasha reached into the case and slid a small divice over the laser sight on the gun and turning it on. He then turned it off and placed it on the counter. He turned back and moved closer to her, caressing her cheek. "Good luck."
