A/N: Because I'm a man of my word I'm going to review as promised since someone else has finally reviewed. This will be a slightly longer chapter that usual because of the fact that; One, this is going to be a transition chapter and Two, I just made a nice batch of chocolate chip cookies so I'm not going anywhere any time soon. By the way, I notice that I do have a small glitch in the story because of the fact that I said that it takes place at the end of the first blade movie. I messed up because I meant to say right after the begining of the second movie because in the first movie, Whistler kills himself and then comes back in the second movie, only to kill himself again in the third. Now onto the fic. I don't own any shows or stories that have to do with this fic so sue me.... I mean don't sue me.... oh just go to hell.
"Damn." Blade and Whistler said simultaniously, watching Inuyasha get his face smashed against the ground again and again.
Two Days Later...
"I think you two are ready to begin training. If that's what you want." Whistler half asked Kagome.
She looked through a window at Inuyasha who seemed to be having fun looking around at the different things they had. There were guns, combat knives, and swords everywhere. 'I don't know what to do. I can't go back to school looking like this!' she thought to herself as one of her new dog ears flicked in annoyance. Then she noticed something she wouldn't have noticed if it hadn't been given those ears. 'He's listening to us.' she thought, looking closely at Inuyasha's ear's. 'Even though we're in an entirely different room he's still listening to everything we say!' she began to get annoyed. 'Well since he's listening...'
"Can I borrow these?"
Whistler looked down at the ear plugs she was pointing at and nodded. Putting the ear plugs into her ears, Kagome pulled out the dog whistle she had bought at a pet store only a day ago.
"Time to put this to the test." Kagome said, taking a deep breath and blowing as hard as she could.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHH," Inuyasha screamed, dropping to his knees and quickly covering his ears.
"Nice one," Whistler laughed as Kagome removed the ear plugs and walked smiling over to where Inuyasha was on the ground.
"Good puppy." she cooed scratching the base of one of Inuyasha's ears.
"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR!!!" Inuyasha yelled jumping back to his feet.
"It wouldn't have hurt as much if you weren't listening in on my conversation." Kagome said still smiling. "Now be a good puppy and look at the cool weapons while I deal with grown up stuff."
"WILL YOU STOP CALLING ME A-" Inuyasha stopped suddenly when he saw Kagome reach for the hated metal object around her neck that had caused him so much pain only moments before.
Seeing Inuyasha's sudden correction in behavior, Kagome dicided not to punish him any more than she already had. "Now will you be a good puppy?" she asked innocently patting the top of his head. Reluctantly, but quickly, Inuyasha nodded. "Good." Kagome walked back to the room where Whistler was still laughing at the scared look on inuyasha's face.
"I can't go home. Not like this. Not now." Kagome's face had suddenly become very serious.
"Then it's settled." Whistler pulled out two aluminum cases. "This one's for you," he said handing kagome one of them, then walking to the room where Inuyasha was hiding behind a table. "Here." Whistler put the case down on the table next to Inuyasha and opening it as Kagome walked into the room. As she set down her case Whistler bagan pulling out the contents of Inuyasha's case.
"Inside each of the cases that you have been given there is a vest similar to blades with a lead reinforcement and built in magizine holsters. Also in each case is a black jacket that has a layer of kevlar which makes it pretty bullet resistant. There is also a black pair of pants which also has a kevlar lining it's not bullet proof but it will protect you from any knives, swords, razors, and almost any other bladed weapon you can think of. There's also a nylon combat belt with a pistol holster. You're both getting a .45 caliber Glock 30 hand gun which and four extra magezines filled with silver bullet's," he said handing each of them a smaller steel case. "These are your side arms as well as your practice weapons. They are to be worn at all times. Is this clear."
Both inuhanyous nodded trying to digest all of the information that they had just been given. "I suggest you both get changed imediately. We will start your training today. The changing room Is down the hall,"
Seven Months Later.
Kagome had just finished her morning rarget practice when Blade walked into the shooting range,
"So, do you think you're ready?"
"For what?" Kagome's ears turned toward the older man. Inuyasha had helped her get used to her new abilities and tought her how to control her new instincts as well as her ears and nose. Eventually it bacame second nature to her. She could tell where anyone was and what they were doing within roughly a 100 foot radius.
"For your first hunt."
A/N: Oh, I just love torturing my readers. I'm starting a new system. I really want to know what you guys think so from now on I'm going to keep checking for reviews and as soon as I see a new one I'll write a new chapter.
