Chapter 4

Here we at Chapter 4. I hope you enjoy it. This chapter is going to tell about what happened to Kagome after she was taken at the lake. Inuyasha's side of the story will be at a stand still during this chapter. Please enjoy and I would appreciate it if you could review and tell me how it was.

Story begins------------------------------------

Kagome quickly undressed behind the rock. The warm sun beat down on her back. She put on her new swimsuit and examined herself in it for a minute. Then she stepped out from behind the rock and looked at Inuyasha who had fallen asleep in the shade.

Kagome began walking towards the lake. Suddenly she felt a tight grasp on her arm and was sent flying backwards in to the rock. She screamed in pain. The tall man jumped behind the rock pulling the unconscious Kagome with him.

"And just so the half-demon thinks she is okay," he uttered.

A small purple formed at his fingertips and soon a hologram of Kagome was swimming to the center of the lake. When the man was sure Inuyasha was asleep once more, he pulled the hologram back leaving a red stain in the water with the scent of blood.

The tall man muttered a few words, and then transported himself and Kagome to a huge building.

The man laid Kagome down by a fountain in the center of the temple. He wet a cloth and laid it on Kagome's forehead.

The huge temple was made of clay and white marble. Three statues stood near the entrance. They were the three Gods.

The young man left the temple and Kagome began to stir.

Kagome opened her eyes slowly and looked around. Her head pounded and made her eyes water. She was still in her swimsuit, but with a delicate silk robe rapped around her as well.

Soon the man returned and took no notice to the young woman laying beside him and staring. He mixed a few herbs in a bowl then slowly fed them to Kagome. Her head's intense pounding began to quiet.

"Why am I here,"

The young man looked at Kagome with gentle eyes and smiled slightly. "I don't know," he said quizzically, "I must have brought you here while Father's spell was in affect. It happens to me quite often"

Kagome looked at the man closely. He had well combed black hair and gentle green eyes. His skin was smooth and clean. He wore fine clothes and carried a staff. Almost the same as her friend's staff Miroku.

"What do you mean?"

"Before my Father's death, he cast a curse on me. At times I forget myself and he some how takes over me. I can't remember what happens at those times. My past is full of blank spots. I am a monk in my normal self, but an evil curse-casting liar in my other. I must have taken you when my Father had control. I would return, but in my normal self I can't break through the spiritual seal around the temple."

"There must be a way to rid the spell. Don't lose hope."

"I won't lose hope, but every time the curse comes in affect I lose myself."

"When to turn evil"

"It just seems to happen at times. Anyway, you must be hungry. You were asleep for hours. Oh, and please call me Hiaten. I don't like using the name my father gave me."

Hiaten left the room and soon came back with a bowl of hot soup. He gave it to Kagome and she ate it. Soon she fell back asleep. Hiaten sat by the window staring at the moon.

"Wake up woman," a deep voice yelled. Kagome felt a kick at her side and looked up.

Hiaten stood above her. The light of the morning sun lit the room. Hiaten was different. His voice was deep and his eyes were red.

"Hiaten, what are you doing?"

"How dare you call me that foolish name! My name is Koyaki!"

Koyaki jerked Kagome up by the arm and pulled her into a room. Kagome struggled and kicked for freedom. He threw her against the wall and chained her up. Then he left laughing hideously.

Hours later Koyaki came back, only now he was once again, the gentle and kind Hiaten. He unchained Kagome and carried her into a room full of gold. He laid her down on a soft couch and covered Kagome with a thick quilt.

"I'm ok," she said.

"I know, but I feel absolutely awful about locking you up in a dungeon."

"it wasn't you. It was Koyaki," Kagome said. "I'll help you break that curse some day. I hope Inuyasha is on his way here."

After a hot dinner Kagome fell asleep on the couch. She dreamed of going back home to her warm bed at home. Her parents were not worried about her. She often takes long trips to feudal Japan. Once she stayed half a month.
