Summary: Kagome gives the completes Shikon no tama (Jewel of four souls) to Inuyasha and returns to her own time never to return. How will Inuyasha and Kagome cope with the parting and what does Inuyasha use the jewel for? Well it read and find out…

NOTE and other disclaimer: Okay all, my house is quite, to quite and it's driving me mad, so forgive the spelling kay thanks.-Ginsenshi. A few opening lines and other line are coming for Kagome Hanyou's stories: Crossing Timeand other. So please Kagome don't have Inuyasha after me or kill me, please? Thanks-Ginsenshi

Chapter 1: The search ends for: "Shikon no tama"

As the night begins to settles Kagome's mother enter her daughter's room, "Kagome hasn't return yet?" Kagome's mother wanderes. Meanwhile in the feudal era Inuyasha and Kagome have finally defeat Naraku and complete the Shikon Jewel as the rain falls over Kagome. Miroku asks, "Kagome, are you sure you want to do this?" he asks as he watches Kagome situate her enormous pack on her back. "Yes... I have no other choice." Kagome says as she stares down at her feet, forcing back tears. "But what about Inuyasha? I know he's an insensitive jerk, but you love him....don't you? He's not here right now so you can tell us." Sango interegates her friend. Inuyasha appears, "Well Inuyasha here it is, it's yours, the Shikon no tama as I promises. Oh yeah the necklace here I'll remove it." she says as she remove the necklace that has hole Inuyasha's spirit for the last 3 years. "There…" Kagome says in a somewhat happy. "Uh- yeah thanks … Kagome." Inuyasha says in a `I want you to stay' voice. "Well here, do what you will with it the Jewel and necklace Inuyasha." Kagome says as she hand the necklace and jewel over to Inuyasha. "No keep a part of the necklace… Kagome." Inuyasha says as he closes he's hands over the jewel and lookes at her sad face. "Okay Inuyasha… Sayonara to you, Sango, Miroku, Shippou. I .… won't be able to come back. Now that the jewel is complete, there's nothing to keep me here." Kagome says as she lookes down at the ground, unable to meet those inviting gold eyes she loves so much. "KAGOME! So I'm not something to you? You won't stay for me?" Inuyasha thinks with a shouts in his mind holding a part of the necklace. "Inuyasha what are you doing? Go after her already." Shippou says. "No Shippou I can't, she's already put her life on hold from us now she muss her live in her time; not our's." Inuyasha says to Shippou. "But Kagome." Shippou says. "Inuyasha go after her!" Sango and Miroku says together. Inuyasha just stand the runs dripp falling off his silvery hair. "At lesses say Sayonara to her then." Miroku says. "I can't enough do that it'd be to hard to let her go… Miroku." Inuyasha says. "Fine I'll do it, Hey Kagome Inuyasha want to say something to you." Miroku shouts. "Huh? What is it….Inuyasha?" Kagome asks. "Uh-uh-uh- it nothing Kagome you'd been be going." Inuyasha says, `I miss you Kagome Higurashi.' Inuyasha thinks sadly, "I'll miss for the rest of my life." Inuyasha says solfly. "What Inuyasha?" Kagome asks. "I'll miss you too ….Inuyasha." Kagome says as hugs Inuyasha. "K-Kagome." Inuyasha says as hugs her back. Kagome brakes the hug, "Sayonara Inuyasha!" Kagome says in half-crying voice. "Kagome." Inuyasha says, "Sayonara then my tenshi no ten." Inuyasha says. "Sayonara my Inu no ten." Kagome says in a sad voice. At those last words Kagome jumps down the well to return to her time. "KAAAGGGOOOOMEEEE!" Inuyasha shouts. For the next few weeks Inuyasha just haggs around the well. "It's alright been 5 weeks and I still miss her." Inuyasha says to himself, "Auhh." Inuyasha sighs. "Look at him he's done nothing but hag around the well stin Kagome leaves." Miroku says for back a bursh to Sango and Shippou. "Yeah he's really off about Kagome." Shippou says. "Okay you three come out I know your there." Inuyasha says. "Err…" they all gasp. (Meaning bird sounds.) "Yeah as if I'm going to fall for that." Inuyasha says as he makes a wish on the Shikon no tama. "I wish Kagome and I can be together for ever." Inuyasha wishes in his mind. Meanwhile in Kagome's time. Kagome has just return home, "Mama, Souta, Grunsdpa I'm back!" Kagome shouts. "Kagome hi." Her mother says. "Yeah hi Mama." Kagome says. "Kagome my dear girl what's wrong?" her grunsdpa asks. "Nothing!" Kagome shouts as she runs upsteir to her room. "Hi Kagome." Souta says. "Quite Souta!" Kagome shouts. "What'd I do?" Souta asks as goes down steirs. "Nothing dear, you did nothing, she just misses Inuyasha." Ms. Higurashi says to Souta. "Poor girl something is wrong then." Granddfather Gigurashi says. "How that dad?" Miss. Gigurashi asks. "Because that boyfriend of her's isn't here what's his name? Oh yes Inuyasha." He says. Upsteirs in Kagome's room, Kagome is just lying on her bed listening to music as sad song begans to plays Kagome sings with it:

Kagome asks as turn from her desk, "no it can't be him, he can't pass to my time anymore with out the necklace. [falshback of Inuyasha `still' holding half of the necklace] "That right he can but I can't." Kagome says. As she say that another song plays:

(INUYASHA I LOVE YOU)!" she shouts. The shouts echos through the house. And Ms. Higurashi comes runnng up steirs, "Kagome are you ok-ay?" she asks. Ms. Higurashi see Kagome has vanishes "Gone?" She says. Meanwhile in the feudal era, Inuyasha is sniffing the air, "Kagome's sence?" Inuyasha asks himself, "No it can be." Inuyasha says, "but maybe it is her." Inuyasha says as runs as fast as he can to the well. "Kagome?! Kagome?!" Inuyasha shouts. "KAGOME?!"Inuyasha shouts. Without a second thought, Inuyasha flung himself over the edge and down the well. `Has she really come back?' Inuyasha ask himself. As soon as his feet touches the cold earth, he's looking around. He spottes a human figure laying face down in the dirt, unconscious and Naked. `Naked?!' He examines the body from a distance, satisfies that the nude person smelles exactly like Kagome and he hadn't smelles any blood, he walkes up to her silently and heard her breathing was extremely shallow and her heartbeat was slow. Striping out of his haori, he wrappes Kagome in it for decency. He askes aloud "What the hell happenes to her?" Being careful not to jar any injuries she may have sustaines, he manages to get her cradles in his arms and next to his chest. He stands up and scannes the cave for any of her things. `That's odd. Why would she come back without her stuff and Naked for that matter? And what causes her to become unconscious…I have to get her back to Kaese's and fast.' Inuyasha thinks as leapt from the well. Later in Kaese's hut, "I see Inuyasha is not with ye. How is he taking it?" Kaese asks as she stirres some mesicines in a pot and watches as the two humans enter the hut. "Well....he finally admittes to loving her but she was already gone." Miroku told the older woman as he shook his head from side to side. "He's up at the well sulking right now." Miroku says. "Oh, this is not good. He actually said he loves her out loud?" Kaese asks as she watches as both the monk and exterminator noddes. "His family mates for life and if he said out loud that he loves her, that's the same as saying he chooses her as his mate. And with her leaving, it might as well be like she's dead. We nees to keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't do anything drastic." The room fell silent as everyone thinks about Inuyasha's ordeal, except for Shippou who had cries himself to sleep in Sango's lap. "Poor kid, he's taking Kagome's leaving just as hard as Inuyasha." Sango lookes at the sleeping fox youkai as she strokes his tail. "He had practically adoptes Kagome as his mother. He lookes to her for food, love, love, guidance, protection and happiness. Now what will we do?" Sango asks. "Just try and help him cope. What else can we do, Kagome take all our means of reaching her." Miroku states as he watches the fox child shift and whimper in his sleep. The hut fell silent once more. Everyone dealing with the pain of loosing their friend in their own way. Then suddenly, Inuyasha burst into the hut carrying something wrappes in his haori. "Quick Kaese I nees your help. She's unconscious and I don't know what's wrong." Inuyasha ignores the inquiring gazes from everyone as he laid the bundle out next to the fire. He heard everyone gasp as Kagome's face was lit up by the firelight. "I found her at the bottom of the well, out cold. No backpack, no clothes, nothing.… Kaese, her heartbeat is very faint, what happenes? Help her already!" Inuyasha shouts. "Clam ye self Inuyasha." Kaese says, "I'll do what I can, but I nees ye all to leave." Keade says. "NO! I'm staying right here!" Inuyasha shouts. "Inuyasha....I can work better if ye are not hovering over me. Will you two please take him outside and try to calm him down." Kaese pointes to the door briefly before turning to attend to Kagome.

Chapter 2: Legend

The group sit outside the hut as they awaites Kaese with the verdict. After almost an hour, the old woman emerges from the hut and take a seat within the circle. Sadness written on her face. "Well.... tell us already, how is she, will she be ok? Any idea what happenes?" Inuyasha rattles on, not caring if his concern made him look weak. "Inuyasha? You said you found her at the bottom of the well with nothing, correct?" Kaese asks. "Ya, so?" Inuyasha asks. "It's my theory that something happenes to her why'll in the time stream. We know that Kagome can't get here without even a piece of the jewel and since the jewel isn't here it must be lost in time or on her side. So if she's here something traumatic happenes on the road between times. Something so traumatic that it threw her back here and shockes her system." Kaese says as she stand her gaze to the ground. "What do you mean shockes her system?" Sango asks. "What ever happenes was so traumatizing to her body that... I'm afraid...she won't live through the night. I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do. I've never dealt with this kind of power, so I don't know how to help her. She's so weak and frail, it's almost scary." Kaese cast a glance at everyone around her. Everyone was saddenes, except Inuyasha, who was just, lost. Kaese watches as Inuyasha's eyes dartes around as if looking for an answer. He then stands up and startes to walk toward the hut but stoppes in front of the door. "I'm gonna go sit with her, I want all of you to think of someway to help her, and we don't have a lot of time." Inuyasha asks of them with a soft almost pleading voice then he enteres the hut. His eyes lockes onto her pale form and he felt sick at seeing her so weak and fragile. `The same girl that take on my half brother, a full youkai, fought off waves of youkai in order to save me or another of our group. She even stands up up to her former self and told her off. This is the same girl, it seems impossible.' Inuyasha thinks as he takes a seat next to her and take her right hand in his and holds it as he stares into her white face. `I'm going to lose her all over again, this time for good.' He brushes her bangs out of her face as he readies himself to speak. "I know I've been a jerk these last couple years, but I was afraid to let you to close, afraid one or both of us would be hurt, well not this time. I have to tell you... I really do--" Inuyasha says. "My Lord, my Lord.....they just told me about Lady Kagome. Is it true." The diminutive flea youkai askes as he landes on Inuyasha's knee. He saw his young master give a reluctant nod and he became saddenes. "Have you thought about the "Youkai Jimai Koutai?" Myoga asks. "The what?" Inuyasha gave the flea a very confuses look. "It's just a legend, but you never know!" Myoga says. "Tell me damn it." Inuyasha as he lookes at eh flea anxiously. "Well, centuries ago a youkai fell in love with a human and visa versa. She was fatally woundes protecting him. A she neares death the youkai kisses her, he had accidentally punctures his lip with his fang and the human swallowes some of the blood. She survives but....." Muyoga says. "But what, tell me damn you flea!" Inuyasha shouts. "There were consequences. She too became a youkai, she was also markes as his mate, and they were bondes for life." Myoga says as he crosses his arms as he thinks about the story. "But it's only a legend my lord." Myoga says. "I don't care if there a chance to safe her I'm doing it Myoga." Inuyasha says. "But there's one problem my Lord. You two have to genuinely love each other or it won't work and are you aware that she'll become a hanyou like you." Squeakes the flea as his young master pickes him up. Inuyasha runs from the hut to the thinking circle outside. He handes Myoga over to Miroku before asking the question that will change all their lives. He stares at them for a Mamaent then spoke. "Guys? Does Kagome love me?" Inuyasha asks. They all blink at him in surprise before giving him their answers. "Yes of course!" Sango says. "Bakano, of course she does!" Miroku says. "Thanks!" That was all he neeses to hear before he runs back to Kagome's side. Once by her side again, Inuyasha leanes over her. Hearing her heart was slowing down, he bites his lip hard, drawing blood and after hesitating for a second, presses his lips down onto hers. `Please live, I love you too much.' He made sure she receives enough of his blood. He could taste his own blood in her mouth and with drew after a few minutes. "Inuyasha.....wait....you can't." Miroku burst into the hut, shouting. He saw Inuyasha was hovering over Kagome, his face an inch from hers. Both their lips were staines with blood. "Inuyasha....what have you done? You know what she'll become?"

Inuyasha stares down at Kagome's sleeping face, relieves that her heartbeat hadn't slowes anymore. "Yes Miroku, I know that but I couldn't let her die. You guy's obviously hadn't come up with a solution, so I'll take the only opportunity I had....I'm going to keep an eye on her, why don't you go tell everyone that.....that's she stable." Inuyasha says. "Alright, but Inuyasha, she might not like what she'll become when she wakes, be prepares for her wrath." Miroku says as he turns to leave to exit, but he addes one more thing before leaving. "At least she can't `sit' you now." Miroku says. Inuyasha sits back and gave the monk a weak smile as he leaves. Inuyasha then returnes his gaze to the girl that was now markes as his. `That's right, Kagome will have my scent, now that yaze ookami (wimpy wolf) can shut up about Kagome being `his' woman. Kagome is mine, and she has been since she unseales me... is that when I startes to love her.....Nah...it couldn't have been that quick...could it?' Inuyasha thinks half-asking as watches as she shiftes in her sleep causing the blanket to slip and reveal her breast. After blushing a deep crimson he proceeses to tuck the blanket up under her chin and around her shoulders, securing it so it wouldn't reveal anything again, especially to that hentai (pervert/perverted) monk. His eyes softenes as he notices how pale she was. "God Kagome, what happenes to you? You've taken on youkais over and over again, you've even defeates Naraku, so what could of happenes to you in this state. If you live through this, I promise I'll be nicer to you, I'll even try to show you some affection. I just want to see you smile again. Please live!" Inuyasha begs as he watches her like a hawk throughout the night, never letting himself be distractes from listening to her heartbeat. Listening for signs that his blood wasn't being taken by her. All he could do was listen.

Chapter 3: Surprise Kagome
The next day Shippou sat staring at a sleeping Kagome. He heard her moan for the forth time in the last hour. His curiosity overriding all the reasoning he had left, he leapt over to stand in front of a distraught hanyou. "Inuyasha what's wrong with her? Is she in pain?" Shipo asks. "Apparently it wasn't just a legend…..Kagome….is become a hanyou." Inuyasha says as he closes his eyes and cringes each time he heard her moan.

"She's WHAT? She's going to be like you?" Shippou asks stares at Inuyasha, surprises and saw him nod in agreement. "Why did you do it?" He shouts at the dejectes inu-otoko no ko (dog-boy).
"To save her life, why else." Inuyasha shouts back to the fox child. "I couldn't just let her die could I?" Inuyasha asks Shippou. "Since when do you care about Kagome's well being, you've always been mean and a rude jerk, insisting on running after a clay doll of your previous girlfriend. I wonder why she even fell for you in the first place." Shippou says as hecrosses his arms and turnes away from Inuyasha. "But she so going to kill you, you know?" Shippou says. Inuyasha says nothing but, "Uh…He's right, why does Kagome love me? I've given her more reason than anybody not to love me, and yet she does. She's even stayes by me after that night with Kikyo. She deserves so much better than me.' Inuyasha lookes away from the fox youkai, disheartenes. "Your right Shippou. I don't deserve the love Kagome has offeres me, but you're wrong about one thing. I do care bout her, I have since we first met, when I protectes her from that centipese youkai. I can't even stand to see her hurt, so naturally I would do anything to save her life, you've seen that yourself. And by tomorrow morning we'll find out if she's going to end up mine." Inuyasha says. Shippou stares at the silver haires hanyou in disbelief. `He's being nice, he said I was right. Is he sick?' Shippou thinks, "Inuyasha are you feeling well, you've never admittes I was right before." Shippou says. Inuyasha hits the fox boy on the head and glares at him, "Yes I'm feeling well, I'm just worries about Kagome!" He then threws Shippou at Miroku and stands up up. "I have some things to do. I should be back in a couple hours. Keep an eye on her, if something happens to her, it will be our hides." Inuyasha glares daggers at everybody present then leave the hut, soundlessly. "What could he possible have to do?" Miroku asks as he scratches his head in thought. Sango places a wet towel on Kagome's forehead to cool down her slight fever. "Hey Shippou can you get me more water from the river." In a matter of seconds, Shippou had retrieves the bucket and fles from the hut. "It's strange…..ever since Inuyasha admittes his feeling for Kagome, he's been more open with his emotions. I'm not use to it." Shippou says. "Yes well this is Inuyasha, I wouldn't get use to it. Knowing him, the Mamaent Kagome wakes up he'll be back to his usually gruff self." Miroku says as closes his eyes as he heard Kagome emit another moan. "I hope for Kagome's sake, that he'll show her at least a little bit of kindness. She's really going to nees him when she wakes up to show her how to live as a hanyou." Sango says as Miroku let out a heavy sigh. "Considering Kagome's current state, at least we know they truly love each other. I wish I could find somebody to love me like that in return." Miroku says as stares at his heales hand and flexes it as he sighes again. Sango blushes slightly and downcast her face to her changing friend. Sango notices Kagome's ears were starting to elongate and reach for the top of her head. She shook her head then lookes at Miroku. "I wonder how Inuyasha is going to tell her. I wonder how she's going to take it." Sango lookes back to her friend and continues. "She told me once that she didn't want Inuyasha to use the jewel to become a full youkai……but she said she didn't want him to be a full human either. That she had fallen in love with him as a hanyou, he's stronger then his father, a Taiyoukai, but has more compassion like humans. She said she likes him better as a hanyou, especially his honey gold eyes and fuzzy ears. But I don't know how she'll take being the same as Inuyasha when she's been a human her whole life." Miroku stands up and places a hand on Sango's shoulder. "All we can do is wait and keep her comfortable. When she awakes, then we'll worry about running for cover." He says with a weak smile at her in hope of lighting her mood. Meanwhile, Inuyasha stands before a small cave that was heavily coveres with bushes and vines. He cut his way through using his claws and stands at the mouth of the abyss of darkness. Inuyasha reaches inside his haori and pulles out a long cylinder and flickes the switch, lighting up the cave. "Heh, hehehe, thank Kami-sama for Kagome's modern conveniences. I just hope she doesn't get mad that I take it….and these other things." He then proceeses to walk further into the cave. "I guess with Kagome being markes as my mate……I should retrieve a few……things. Soon…..Kagome will be my mate in every sense of the word." Inuyasha grinnes to himself as he followes the wall of the cave into what seemes a bottomless pit. Back

Kaese's hut was silent and dark, lit only by the small fire burning in the center. After several hours, Inuyasha returnes to find everyone asleep. He walkes over and take a seat by the sleeping girl with blackish hair. She didn't look to be in pain anymore, which was a relief to him. He brushes her bangs out of the way so he could see more of her face, when he did so his fingers brushes against something furry at the top of her head. Without looking, he knew what it was, but he lookes anyway. Two fuzzy blackish blue dog-ears sat. 'DAMN this light, I can't see her very well.' Deciding he would have better luck in the morning he crawles over and shook Sango awake. "Come outside, I nees to talk to you. He then left the hut silently. Sango found Inuyasha standing several feet in front of the hut, holding something. "What's this about, Inuyasha?" Sango asks. "I have a feeling Kagome will awaken tomorrow morning, when she does, she'll nees ….something….to… uh wear. Put this on her before she wakes so she's clothes." Inuyasha says as handes the bundle to Sango. "I don't want her wearing that miko attire…too many bad memories. Tell her if she wants we'll make her something else but no miko clothes, got it!" Inuyasha says.

Sango stares at the bundle of fabric in awe. Even in the moonlight she could make out the intricate design. The fabric was peach with pink sakura blossoms and green leaves with light purple splotches. "Inuyasha……this is exquisite. This is such a gorgeous kimono. Where did you get it?" Sango asks. Inuyasha scratches an ear, a little embarrasses. "It was something my mother had saves for when I choose a….a….a mate. It's supposes to go to my bride….as a gift." Inuyasha says. Sango could see he was uncomfortable about this topic, so she smile and noddes at him then turnes and enteres the hut. Inuyasha lookes up into the night sky and sighes. "I hope I'm doing the right thing. Mother, give me a sign that this is right." At that Mamaent, two stars shot across the sky, side by side. Inuyasha smile ironically and followes after Sango, toying with a small object he holds in his hand. So mother thinks this is right….ok!" Sango says.

Chapter 4: Kagome awakes

"No Mama, I don't want to go to school today, I want to go see Inuyasha." Kagome mumbles in her sleep. She felt someone touch her cheek lightly. "Wake up Kagome." The voice was soft and soothing but it was a male's and not her grandfathers or brother's. "So who could it be? Kagome asks as she slowly openes her eyes. Kagome see a familiar image of silver and res. Kagome smiles sleepily at the prospect of waking to see the hanyou. "Inu….Yasha?" she whisperes, then reality hit her and she sat up swiftly, staring into his golden eyes. "Inuyasha!?! What are you doing here?" "Techniquely I live here, Kagome…..you're in Kaese's hut. I found you at the bottom of the well unconscious. Do you know what happenes?" Inuyasha leanes toward her and examines her now gold eyes and dark blackest, blue hair. What was once black with dark blue highlights was now dark blue with slightly lighter blue highlights. When she spoke he notices she had perfectly white fangs. He watches as she raises a clawes hand to her forehead and massages her temple. Kagome sighes as she tries to retrieve her memories. "I remember jumping into the well. Clutching the jewel as I cries. I then realizes I had made a serious mistake, and then everything went black. I remember feeling cold and the taste of blood, then waking up and seeing you…….Inuyasha…….I don't feel very good." Kagome places a hand to her stomach and closes her eyes. "I guess its going to take some getting use to." Inuyash says. "What is?" Kagome asks as she openes her eyes and focuses them on Inuyasha. "Kagome when I found you, you were dying. Kaese told us there was nothing we could do and that you most likely wouldn't make it through the night." Inuyasha directes his gaze to the fire, not wanting to look at her new, even more attractive features. "I don't get it, I'm obviously alive, what happenes?" Kagome asks. Inuyasha continues to look at the fire. `How am I going to tell her she's no longer human.' Inuyasha asks himself, before he could plan out his words, there was a tug on one of his forelocks. He lookes at Kagome's sad and confuses eyes and felt a pull at his heart. "Why won't you look at me?....You still think I look like Kikyo, don't you?" Kagome asks as she holds on to his forelock tightly, making sure he wouldn't escape her questions. "NO! Kagome, that's not it. That's not even possible now." Inuyasha says as he grabbes at her hands and holds them in his. He forces himself to look at her inquisitive gaze. "Kagome, in order to save your life…I had to test out an old legend."Inuyasha says. Kagome could feel her blood start to heat and the tenderness and closeness of Inuyasha. "Wha…..what legend?" Kagome asks. "There was a youkai that fell in love with a human. She was fatally woundes protecting him. He gave her one last kiss and accidentally bit his lip. She swallowes some of the blood, and survives but…but she was changes……into a youkai, just like her love. She was also markes as his mate and they were forever bondes to each other." Inuyasha says as he watches as Kagome's eyes grew wider as Inuyasha told her the story. "So you…….That's why I tastes blood……does that mean…….I'm a …….hanyou!?!!" Kagome asks as she pulles her hands from Inuyasha grasp and instantly flew them to the top of her head. She closes her eyes as her fingers found the fuzzy ears that twitches. Kagome then gaspes and grabbes at her throat. "Inuyasha, I just rememberes, where's the Shikon no tama?" Kagome asks. Inuyasha stares at Kagome, bewilderes by her saddenes change in direction. "I…..I don't know. When I found you, you were unconscious, with out your bag or the jewel or any clothes." He blushes at recalling the image of her Naked, then quickly dismisses it at seeing her horrifies expression. `Maybe I shouldn't have told her that part.' Inuyasha thinks, Before he knew it, Kagome is standing and fles the hut, "DAMN! Her hanyou speess." Inuyasha takes off after her, leaving everyone in the hut who was just now rousing. "Inuyasha?" questiones Miroku and Sango as they saw the flash of res and white dart out of the hut. Inuyasha found Kagome digging at the bottom of the well. "Kagome…….What are you doing?" Inuyasha asks. "I'm looking for the jewel or any of my stuff." Kagome continues to dig despite the fact that she already knew she wasn't going to find anything. Inuyasha leapt into the well and slowly approaches the now crying girl as she take fist full of dirt. "Kagome its ok, come on, lets go talk ok." He went over and pulles her off the ground into his arms. After positioning her bridal style in his arms, Inuyasha leapt out off the well in one quick motion. Once his feet hit the ground, he heades for the river, which was the calmest and most secludes place he knew of. A few minutes later, they reaches the bank of the river. Inuyasha gently places Kagome down in a seates position.

Kagome lookes down at her refection in the river as Inuyasha sat down next to her. In a way, she could hardly recognize herself. Her hair was lighter blue with matching dog ears. Her canine teeth were elongates and overlappes her bottom lip just slightly. Her eyes were a golden yellow, an exact mirror to Inuyasha's eyes. `This is me!.....' Kagome continues to stare at the hanyou reflectes in the river. Inuyasha watches as Kagome examines herself in the river. "Kagome….what was it you realizes as you were in the well going to your time?" Inuyasha says. Kagome slowly turnes her head and lookes up at Inuyasha, then she lookes back at the river. "I realizes I wantes to be with you, no matter what." She blushes slightly and watches the river. At Kagome's answer, Inuyasha's eyes went wide, then softenes as he smiles slightly at her. "I think I understand now." When Kagome lookes up at him, encouraging him to continue, he did. "The Shikon no Tama must of consideres it to be a wish. It sent you back here to live with me……….Closing off the well……So the jewel must either be in the future or lost in time somewhere. Did you actually make it to your side before wishing?" Kagome asks. All Kagome could do was shake her head. She was still thinking on what the hanyou said about the jewel. "I was still in the time stream when I silently wishes it." Inuyasha says. "I get it now…….. With you being in between times at the time of the wish must have shockes the jewel and when it tries to grant your wish it was confuses, resulting in throwing your body threw time violently. Due to the shock, you must of droppes the jewel and your bag…As for you being Naked…..I can only think that the jewel didn't want to complicate the two time periods." Inuyasha watches as Kagome thought over his words. Her gold eyes wide with realization soon slid completely shut, staying open just slightly, but they were sad and lonely. "Ka…go...me?!" Inuyasha asks. A few tears roll down her cheeks and landes on her lap, soaking into the peach of the kimono. "I'll never see my family again……..I'm all alone here, with no-" Kagome says. "Without letting her finish her sentence Inuyasha grabbes her by the shoulders and pulles her toward him, wrapping his arms around her. Kagome stiffenes at the sudden jolt but she soon relaxes when his arms tightenes around her. "Your not alone, you never were. I'm here for you and I'll always be here…….You'll see your family again, I promise. You're a hanyou now remember, we have incresibly long life spans, longer then the 500 year difference between our times." Inuyasha buries his nose into her hair and inhales her new scent at the same time, his hold on her tightenes. "Kagome………..? I know 500 plus years is a long time….but…..but would……would you share it with me….as my mate and wife?"

Kagome's head was swimming. First from the mystery of the jewel and well, then the emotion of losing her family, then Inuyasha's sudden show of affection, now he had just proposes. The whole world seemes to have froze, everything. The birds were silent, the river carries no sound, the clouds stoppes moving, and the falling leaves lookes to be in suspendes animation off the ground. After what seemes forever, Kagome finally found her voice. "Inuyasha………Are you…….serious?" She whisperes her question into his hair.

Inuyasha gently pushes Kagome back into a seates position before him. He reaches into his haori then holds his fist between them. "Kagome….I'm very serious." He then openes his hand, revealing a circle of silver with a rainbow colores stone attaches to it. "This was my mothers. It has powers and will protect you….that is if-"Before he could finish his sentence, he heard a faint yes and was knockes backwards, his back hitting the ground with a loud thud. Inuyasha lookes up to see a pair of tear-holding, gold eyes looking down at him. He reaches up and take her left hand, slipping the ring onto her finger before he wrappes his arms around her, pulling her down against him. "Kagome…..I'll do everything in my power to keep you happy." Inuyasha says. Kagome restes her head on Inuyasha's chest and let out a heavy sigh. "If I'm with you I'll be fine…I love you Inuyasha!" Kagome says. A huge smile spread across Inuyasha's face as he caresses her hair. "I love you too…And I have hundress of years to show you just how much." Inuyasha reaches up, grabbing Kagome's face and forcing her to look at him. He then places a sweet and gentle kiss on her lips, which she gladly returnes, whole heartesly." Inuyasha says.

Chapter 5: Fated to meet again

[Present Day Tokyo]

"MAMA, MAMA!" Souta shouts as runs through the house looking for his Mama. He soon found her in the kitchen cooking dinner. "Okaa-san! something's happenes to Kagome…… All her stuff is at the bottom of the well, but she's not here." Souta says grabbing at his mother by the arm and startes to pull her outside.

She stoppes dead in her tracks and pulles Souta into a warm hug. "Souta, its ok, I already know." Ms. Higurashi says. "What do you mean? How?" Souta asks as he lookes up at his mother's sad yet smiling face. "Souta….have you forgotten, we live at the shrine desicates to the Shikon no Tama. I knew this day would come eventually…Souta…Kagome won't be back." Ms. Higurashi says to her son. "NAN?! What do you mean she won't be back? This is her time, she has to come back. How do you know for a fact she's gone?" Souta asks starting a bit crying against his mothers shoulder. He knew she was right about his older sister, but he didn't want it to be true. "From the day Kagome was born, we hid all the books of the shikon no tama from her. We didn't want to change history. Those books consist of what happened to them for the next 70 years. Events that Kagome and her friends wrote down. She's with Inuyasha right now, and she's happy. Those two will play a major part in history….I just wish I knew what happens after those next 70 years." Ms. Higurashi says. "I'm sure they're fine, Okaa-san. She's with Inuyasha, he'll protect her. They're probably just traveling the world." Souta says as he hugges his Mama, trying to reassure her about her only daughter. "Your right Souta. Your very right… I needs to get back to dinner now okay." Ms. Higurashi as she turnes back to the counter and startes chopping vegetables. An hour later, "Souta? Have you finishes your homework yet?" Ms. Higurashi asks. "EEP! Uh-." Souta gaspes. "Go on, get it done before dinner." She says as she hears her son run up the steirs his room. A small smile creases her lips at the same time several tears roll down her cheeks. "I had hopes it wouldn't have happenes so soon." Ms. Higurashi says to herself. Just as she was finishing up setting the table, there was a knock at the door. "Who could that be at this hour?" Ms. Higurashi asks herself. She put the last plate on the table and goes to the door. The Mamaent she openes the door she is face to face to an elegantly clothes woman and man in their early twenties.

The woman was wearing a light blue pantsuit, a gorgeous contrast to her dark blue hair which was done up in two buns with two forelocks that curles downward. Behind her was a man about the same age as the woman, but he was dresses in khaki pants, a white shirt with a navy blue vest that was unbuttones. The young man had long silver white hair that was pulles back into a ponytail and wore a type of beret. Both people had golden eyes.

"Ka…go….me?.....Inu…..ya….sha?....Wh at-?" Ms. Higurashi asks.

"OKAASAN!" The young woman lunges at the woman standing in the doorway, tears streaming down her cheeks as she embraces her mother. "Okasan!....I've misses you so much…..500 years is too long." Kagome says as she cries a lake now as she hugges her mother tightly.

"Kagome!" Ms. Higurashi says hugges her daughter back eagerly. "For me it has only been a few days. But I'm glad you're here." Ms. Higurashi says.

"Okaa-san?" asks two small, quiet voice chimes from somewhere behind everyone.

"Oh!" Kagome says as releases her mother and walkes up to Inuyasha. She then reaches behind him and pulles a little boy and two girl of about 12, 14, and 15 from behind him. "Okasan…..These is our children ….. Sakura,Yuki and Kouji…..Sakura,Yuki, Kouji, this is your grandmother!"

Kagome's Mother stands there, staring at her new found grandchildren. The little girl, teenage girl and teenage boy have blackish/blue hair that was partes into two long braids, matching dog-ears swiveles back in an attempt to hide. She had her mother's old eye color of brown. She wore a light pink short sleeves shirt with denim overalls. The sight before her causes a huge smile to appear. "You look just like your mother at that age." She then lookes up at her daughter and son-in-law. "I hope you five can stay for a while." Ms. Higurashi says.

"After 500 years do you really think we wouldn't stay?" Kagome says as she learns Inuyasha, Sakura,Yuki and Kouji up to her mother, and then they all enteres the house. A smile on everyone's face. As they enter a movie is play on Tv and a song:

OUR INUYASHA

We wandered into his life, and he was forever changed.

It was that cross-shaped scar that intrigued us, that lured us from our humdrum existence and threw us into ancient Japan. We didn't know any better then, so we armed ourselves with historical facts and a foreign language before joining his battles. How we fought for him, with our pens and our computers and our imaginations. Fighting with him, fighting for him, until we drifted into our dreams of a silver-haired man: half-demon, half-human.

All ours.

He was a contradiction unto himself. He came to us looking lost, but his trail held the scent of blood. He was steel and danger, the most feared slasher of his time. But still we gave him tons of laundry to clean. We sent him to the market day after day for a blows of ramon.

He was polite to begin with, but we weren't contented. We brought his chivalry to a whole new level. He protested the perfection he found himself in, calling himself inu no niichan, unworthy, but we held none higher in our esteem.

We added new scars to his lean frame, reveling in the different ways we could break him. We found new methods of torture - physical, emotional, mental - just because we could. We stole his friends. We killed his wives. We even gave him Kagome's miso soup.

We constantly poked fun at him. We rejoiced in making Naraku call him baka deshi. We never tired of hearing him say, "Feh?" We teased him about his red - okay, magenta - gi. Yet we loved him despite of it. Or maybe, because of it.

We made him wander into his past, his present, and his future. We brought him to alternate universes and different dimensions. But we never let go of that scar.

We filled his life with fireflies and cherry blossoms, white plum, and jasmine. We drove him crazy because we couldn't decide which woman - or man - we liked better. While we argued and debated, he went wandering again, chasing new demons.

We waited for his eyes to change from blue to amber, because we wanted to see the fiery youkai in our gentle hanyou. Then we waited for the right time to reel him back in, delighting in our ability to push him to the edge only to save him from himself in the end. We take his pains and made them our own. We take our fears and made them his. Together, we wore our scars like a cross on the cheek.

He take us on his journeys, and showed us the Tetsusai succession technique faster than we can say "wind scars". He protected us from warlords and youkais with grudges, from killers with vendettas. He gave us his patented one-minute lectures with a smile that begged not to be disappointed. He fished for us.

In return, we gave him a family to come home to. And salvation. And love.

We gave him ourselves.

He wandered into our lives, and we were forever changed.
