The rain storm had gotten lighter and turned out as spitting rain. That meant that InuYasha and the others had left a nearby small hut which they had found and continued their journey. Everyone but InuYasha was either using or wearing umbrella hats or umbrellas so that they would catch a cold from the rain.
While they were walking, InuYasha had picked up the sent of blood. It was hard to tell whether it was human's or demon's blood. Then he began to believe that he could smell that of dead body, urbs and graveyard soil. This had bothered the half demon and made him growl out of frustration.
Kagome took noticed and gave InuYasha a worried look, “what's the matter?” Kagome asked.
InuYasha sniffed a little bit longer and then shook his head. “It's nothing forget about it.” He responded. “For a second there I thought I sniffed out Kikyo's sent.” InuYasha thought as he tried to shake it up. “It must've been my imagination.”
“Hey look up ahead, a village everyone!” Shippo stated as he pointed up ahead.
“That's great we can ourselves a good night sleep and a nice long rest; huh guys?” Tani said.
Sango lifted her umbrella had to get a good view of the village. “I'll say…” she agreed.
“Well what are we waiting for?” Miroku asked.
“Let's go ahead then.” Kagome said.

In a village a young girl had been running away from a demon. It had turned out that a very grotesque demon had come and attacked her village. This young had been injured and was starting to grow very tired from running.
The demon had started to gain up on the mortal as he licked his lips and was getting closer and closer to the young terrified human.
“Give it up mortal!” He bellowed, “There's no way you can run forever! You'll bound to grow tired of running; do yourself the favor so I can take you out of your misery by devouring you!”
The demon was right. The girl did start to grow very tired indeed.
“I can't keep this up!” she thought as she tried to push herself.
Unfortunately, the girl was so terrified with about the demon trying to devour her that she didn't notice a large log that was up ahead. She had tripped over it which made her fall flat on her face. The log that she had tripped over had given her a large cut on her leg. It was over for her as she couldn't run anymore. The demon stopped running and slowly walked up to her as he began to lick his lips. The girl growled as she faces the demon; preparing herself for the worst.
“Die mortal!” The demon as he opened his mouth.
Out of no where a young man with long silver hair and in a red kimono along with his friends who were running from behind flew out of no where as he brought out his claws for the demon. No one other than InuYasha.
“IRON REAVER SOUL STEALER!” InuYasha yelled as his claws went through the demon.
The demon had collapsed on its back in pain as he cursed his final breath and disintegrated into the soil.
Kagome had ran up to the girl along with Shippo and Tani, kneeled down to try and comfort her.
“Don't worry your safe now.” Kagome reassured as she was patting the village girl's back for comfort.
Confused the girl nodded as she tried to regulate her breathing, “thank you, so kindly,” she said.
InuYasha looked around the area and sniffed as much as he could to if he could go anywhere with the demon that he had practically slaughtered. He clenched his fist and pounded it to the ground which made his knuckles bleed a little.
“Damn! Still no sign of Naraku! How the hell is anyone going to find that bastard? Damnit!” InuYasha growled.
Miroku had ran up to InuYasha and looked at the soil where the demon was before he disintegrated.
“I think looking for Naraku right now should be the least of our worries. At least until we find out what happened to this girl, who knows maybe it could us to more of Naraku's where abouts,” Miroku suggest as he watched Sango and Kagome help the poor unconscious village girl onto Kirara's back.

Once the girl was place on Kirara's back, InuYasha and the others decided to investigate to what had happened to the village girl's villages. When they reached to the village, they had found it in ruins.
“Looks at all that damage that that one demon caused,” Sango commented as she looked to see if there were any survivors.
“And he wasn't must of a challenge either… I highly doubt that that one demon had cause this much damage in one day,” InuYasha said.
“Do you believe that the demon that you took down could have had allies when they done this?” Miroku asked.
“I've got to say that's a lot of damage.” Kagome stated as she looked around the village in shock.
The village had completely been destroyed; dead bodies of the villagers were everywhere, puddles of blood mixed with water from the rain. Huts dismantled. It was total wreck.
“Is anyone left alive?” Kagome yelled.
There was no answer.
Shippo however noticed that there had been snow on the ground. He didn't know if it was exactly snow or not but it looked like it. He hopped of Tani's shoulder to get a closer look at it.
“What is all this?” Shippo wondered. He really took a good look at it, “it looks like snow,” he said as he picked up the white crystals.
Kagome lifted an eyebrow, “snow? What are you talking about?” Kagome asked as she walked to where Shippo was. She bent her knees, hugged them tightly and started to gaze in Shippo's direction a she pick up the snow.
“How can there be snow?” Sango asked also confused.
“Sango's right, summer has just ending and fall is just beginning.” Miroku stated.
“How `bouts saving this chat afterwards?” InuYasha suggested.
Tani had felt something strange vibes coming from a small hut. This made her twitch a little. Both Miroku and InuYasha noticed Tani's uneasy twitch.
“What's the matter?” Miroku asked.
“Is something wrong?” InuYasha asked.
The young half demon child nodded, “I sense a un edgy thing about this place,” Tani responded.
“Yeah, I feel something too…” Sango said. She picked up a rock and threw it at a hut. There was a huge explosion. Everyone moved back and shielded their eyes so that the explosion doesn't go to them and the blast didn't hurt their eyes, “be very careful traps are set everywhere.” She warned.
“Traps?” Kagome asked looking around the place to see if she could see out anymore.
Shippo felt uneasy as he on Miroku's shoulder for protection.
“Yeah bombs,” Sango said “Kirara track out all the bombs.” She said.
Kirara nodded. She walked to up Sango and Kagome so the they can both grab a hold of the village girl so that she wouldn't get hurt incase the cat demon got caught in the blast. Kagome and Sango got a hold on one arm as they wrapped it around their shoulders.
“I'll help don't move guys.” InuYasha said as he brought out his sword.
“I honestly wonder what happened here,” Miroku said looking around.
“Me too,” Shippo agreed.
Kagome looked down on the unconscious girl. “Maybe this girl might have the answers to all our questions.” Kagome said.
“I sure hope so,” Sango said.
“Me too, but we might have to find somewhere else to stay incase this village is to dangerous for us,” Tani said watching InuYasha and Kirara sniff out the hidden bombs.
***
The sun was already starting to set and finally InuYasha and Kirara were able to track out all the bombs in the village. Luckily there was one hut that didn't have any bombs was safe enough to stay. InuYasha and Miroku decided to stay outside and bury the bodies of the villagers who had died fro the early attacks while the other five were into the hut to ask the girl a few questions.
The mystery girl had finally woken up to see a girl in strange clothing, a demon slayer, an adorable neko manta demon and two demon children. She was so confused and a little nervous as she tried to get up.
“Oh, you're awake! Are you sure you're alright to move?” Kagome asked looking through her back to see if she could find her first-aid kit.
“My head it killing me…” the village girl groaned but soon then gave out a week smile, “thank you… for saving me,”
“It was no problem really,” Shippo said as looked up to her with a bright smile on his face.
“It was lucky when InuYasha sniffed out something strange about this village when he did huh?” Tani asked as he looked at Kagome for support.
“I'll say,” she agreed still looking for her first-aid kit in her bag.
“It seems like you've gone through a lot…” Sango started.
The village girl nodded.
“If you can… please, tell us, what happened to this village here?” Sango asked.
The village girl tried to think back when it had all started. “T-the demons had come…” The girl began.
“You mean the demon that was chasing you?” Shippo asked.
“What do you mean?” Tani asked.
“My name is Suni,” she introduced as she tilted her head back until it hit the wall. She had such a painful headache that she closed her eyes, “my village was attacked by a whole bunch of demons.”
“And you were the only once who survived the demon attacks?” Sango asked.
“Correct… all my family and friends were slaughtered and I was able enough to escape them,” Suni re-picturing her family being killed by the demons, her eyes soon began to fill up with tears as she soon started to cry.
Everyone in the hut gave her a face sympathetic look.

Meanwhile outside the house, Miroku and InuYasha had just finished burying the dead in order to give them respect. Miroku had already put small insects and began to pray the souls in order for them to find eternal peace.
“That's the last of them,” Miroku said.
“This burying everyone thing is starting to get really old and annoying. You know, I'm becoming a professional grave digger except no one's paying me.” InuYasha said wiping his head from the sweat.
“Naraku is a menace he must be stopped before more innocent villagers their lives.” Miroku said as he finished praying. “But I'm even sure if he had anything to do with this though.
“That girl may have some answers to our questions.” InuYasha said.
“Well let's go back inside then.” Miroku had suggested.
“Good idea.” InuYasha said.
So they both walked into the hut. When they walked in Miroku had noticed that Suni was awake.
“Did you happen to see someone in a white baboon by any chance?” Sango asked.
Suni nodded “I had gone out to fetch some water, I happened to see a demon dressed in a white baboon, but he was with some woman in white, I'm not sure,” Suni explained.
“Did you say white baboon?” InuYasha said.
“She also said a girl in white,” Miroku said.
“So that could've meant the Kanna was with him,” Sango said.
“I don't know their names or anything I just happened to see them when my village was attacked,” Suni said.
“So Naraku must've been behind this,” Kagome said.
“He's always the one,” Sango said.
“That's for sure,” Tani said.
“That demon is heartless and, and manipulative,” Shippo said.
Kagome nodded in agreement she was still thinking, “I don't understand…what he possibly want to do with Kanna this time?”

Little did InuYasha and his friends know that he was being watched over Naraku's saimyoushou. Naraku was then able to watch their every single move. The demon smiled.
“Good they're at the village,” he said staring at the Kanna's mirror like usually did, “now… to deal with Kikyo...” Naraku said as an evil grin formed upon his face.
