Chapter 2

"Wake up Inuyasha" Shippo yelled. "Come on get up!" Shippo grabbed a stick and began poking Inuyasha in the head. "How can you sleep with sunlight everywhere"

"I'm up you stupid fox!" Inuyasha grumbled. He sat up and yawned, punched Shippo in the head, and went to the stream for a drink.

The sun made the water glisten and shine. You could drink the water happily and look down into its depths because the water was so clear. Shippo gulped down a handful of water and began to chase a small fish around.

Grumble. "My stomach is growling" Shippo said.

"Kagome will be here soon, she always brings food," Inuyasha said.

A few moments later Kagome appeared in the distance walking towards them. "Hey guys!"

"I can't stay." Kagome said, "I came to ask if you want to join in on the 4th of July celebration"

"Can we have breakfast first?" Inuyasha said pleadingly.

""I guess Inuyasha" Kagome laid out some food and Shippo and Inuyasha gladly dug in.

Kagome sat nibbling on a roll while Inuyasha noisily ate his Ramen Noodles. Shippo was busy attacking the sushi.

"So are you coming or not?"

"I want to!!!" Shippo yelled joyfully.

"I have nothing else to do." Inuyasha answered.

"I knew you would come"

Kagome, Shippo, and Inuyasha went down the well and into the present time.

----------------------------In The Present-------------------------

"We have a couple hours before the firework display…do you want to go swimming?"

"Ok" Inuyasha and Shippo said in unison. Sweat dripped off their noses and splattered on the ground.

Kagome stopped at her house to get her swimsuit and a few towels. We can stop at the store and get sun tan lotion. I am sure we can rent you some suits at the pool shack.

Kagome walked down the sidewalk with Inuyasha and Shippo right behind her. People stopped and stared at Inuyasha and Shippo with amusement. One guy told them it wasn't Halloween and they needed to take off their costumes.

At the pool Kagome rented Inuyasha and Shippo swimsuits. She rubbed suntan lotion on herself and waded into the cold water. "come on Inuyasha. The water is great!"

"It stinks," Shippo said.

"That's the chlorine. It keeps the pool clean.

Inuyasha jumped and in and let the cool water rinse the sweat off of his body. Shippo followed him.

Shippo tail became waited down with water making it hard for him to swim. Kagome advised he stay in the short end.

So, while Shippo swam around in the shallow end of the pool, Kagome and Inuyasha jumped off the diving boards and relaxed in the deep end.

At first Inuyasha would not go off the high dive, but after =being teased by Kagome he gave in.

After the Swim---------------------------------------------------------

The sun was setting and Kagome took Inuyasha and Shippo to her house to pack a lunch. The sun was setting and the day was cooling off. Fire Flies began to buzz around outside.

Soon they set off to enjoy the night of fireworks.
